Wow this is really good! Watched a lot of Dick Tracy lately and this is top notch. Great plot, moves along well. quality detective movie. Good quality print, picture, sound too. Thanks.
This was a good movie. The director and cinematographer came up with some nice noir touches here and there, and it is always great to see all those familiar 40s - 50s character actors.
Outstanding features from (just a little) before my time: Many thanks for sharing. P.S. I love Morgan Conway as Tracey [more than Ralph Byrd], and Jane Greer always heats up a film; in fact the whole cast is wonderful.
So many moments from this movie served as inspiration for the 1990 Dick Tracy, like the kid jumping on the back of the car, or Tracy waking up Tess Truehart as she slept on the couch. Great to see!
Tess Trueheart, sweet Polly Purebread (UnderDog)... those were the good ol' days, when women were virtuous (and female) and men were courageous (and not female). We used to point out mental illness in my days. Now we celebrate it, entire months dedicated to it, and we even elect "it" president... or Did we???
29:22 Dick Tracy is looking for Splitface ... in a DRAWER?? LMAO. Thanks PizzaFlix. Been binging on your movies for weeks! You have the BEST oldies but goodies. 🤓
I know policing was a bit/lot different then to now, but 5:39 , surely they would have told the public to move on, and would definitely have not let them stand that close to the body!!
This is pretty good I've never seen the original movie. I hate remakes but honestly as much as I hate remakes I like the 1990 version alot better. But it's nice to see the origin of the character. I did not realize there are 5 movies.
15 murders, that is raising the stakes. This is pretty good, better than the rating that viewers at Rotten Tomatoes and Imdb give it. The only drawback is that the actor playing the lead is rather flat.
A very clean, clear, crisp copy of a classic!
I enjoyed reading the Dick Tracy comics growing up. Viewing this film was a treat. Thanks for posting.
Liked so much...thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing the movies. I like the oldies but goodies.
I ALWAYS look to your channel for THE BEST MOVIES. Dick Tracy is another one of my favorites. Thank you, Pizza Fix!
Check out Wizards 1977, if you haven't seen it already.
@@fischeborne9713I saw that when it first came out. I was 13. 🧚🏾🦹🏾
Morgan Conways' voice fit his character of Tracy perfectly. So crisp, clear, and strong.
Well, it is certainly very clear.

That kid has huge brass balls.

Wow Dick Tracy, it's "soooo " good, even better than DragNet. I have always loved Cop 👮Shows. Even Car 54 Where are You ! 🤗 🙋🏽
Even Maniac Cop?

They're not his movies. :/
Thank you
This is actually the 1945 movie staring Morgan Conway.
Was the title different 5 years ago?
What happened to the kid who portrayed Dick Tracy, Jr. in this movie?
He went out the door with Tess.
Plug for Dead Line at Dawn 53:19. Released March the next year.
I see silhouettes and I automatically grab a bag of chips. No matter what!
Hadn't seen this actor as Dick Tracy b4. Good movie.
Great movie.
It seems as if a lot of this was filmed at Radio's Encino lot. The car chase shows up again in 1947.
Excellent ☺
Now the public has "Dick Tracy"
two-way watches. 🕵️♂️
Took us long enough.

It's a movie.
....you can't get better a villain and character actor like Mike Mazurki.....
Yes we can.

The origin of the character is Chester Gould's Comic Strip which began in the 1930s.
You should only hate bad remakes, there isn't a point to hate the good ones, as rare as they can be.

I wonder how many people spent the evening at home wearing a suit and tie like the night club owner. I guess he wears a tuxedo when he goes out.
I wonder why he was acting so suspicious? And his daughter also.

All men wore hats until JFK . He didn't wear one, and that's when the hat went out of fashion.
I'm wearing a hat right now.
@@fischeborne9713 hats are great if you are losing your hair.
Morgan Conway wore his hat well.

I knew this was going to be a good movie when I saw that it was approved with certificate #10983.🙄
Dick Tracy is the most idiotic and incompetent detective character I've watched so far.
