  • Hello :) thanks for watching my video. Today's video is all about how I use a modified version of the bullet journal system in an A6 hobonichi planner - but this could apply to any planner out there on the market.

Thank you so much for the video! I'm starting out next year for my first ever Hobo and as well as bullet journal! I specially love your use of the index, very colorful!

Brilliant! This is what I had in mind doing as well, so it's very nice to see it in action. I never thought about using the monthly index pages as a habit tracker. Great idea! My planner system is constantly evolving, but I've learned that I need the structure of dated pages as well as a free-flowing lists journal.

Thanks so much for your comment. I don't find the dated pages restrictive at all and I really love the idea of having my collection pages separate from the day-to-day task stuff, glad you enjoyed!

Brilliant. I am moving into a hobonichi for 2018 and was wondering how I was going to do collections. This is awesome.

+Claire Burk you're welcome! I'm thinking about moving into an a5 for the new year as I have many more bullet journal ideas.

+Andrew T Hi Andrew, I get mine from the online hobonichi store. You can also order it from amazon, eBay or find one through the hobonichi buy and sell Facebook group. Hope this helps!

what's the most economic way to get a hobonichi?

I would sign up to the facebook group 'hobonichi buyers and sellers' and see if someone is selling one there, most times you can avoid customs fees. Also, I'm not sure where you're based but in the US Jetpens and sometimes amazon have hobonichis going there. Otherwise, buy from Japan - I'd try and buy all your items at once so that you won't have to make a second order.
