@@Fox250R Hey Fox, seen you in a ton of this vortex content... So I Just Bought a 2017 450R with less than 10 hours on it for 6k straight up (Super clean like new, I'm Pumped!) Anyways lol... I just ordered my vortex yesterday on eBay from Duncan racing, after researching for like a week what to do with that horrific bog! Seriously though, first ride I slowed down to turn and I grab the clutch and give it a few revs as I'm about to clutch into a wheelie, and on the little rev with the clutch pulled in, it just kills it.. I'm like Dafuq lol, well okay I guess I need a programmer or something. Then after all the research I decide the vortex is the way to go! I plan on getting pipe and intake in a few months maybe, but for now I'll be Stock with just a vortex. So questions?? #1 How is it with just the Vortex and stock, had you tried it before gettin the other big 2 and if so how much HP you think it adds in stock trim? And lastly, did I just waste $700 on the vortex instead of buying an older 09-13 ECU? or in the end do you think the Vortex is the better investment? Thanks in advance if you reply!😎
@@MythicMoto So the Vortex on a stock bike will work great just make sure you remove the AIS! That's to help with the back firing during deceleration. It really helped for me. Now on the other big 2 that's going to be what you decide. Just don't forget to try and get it dyno tuned after you get everything installed. And as far as the 700 for the vortex ummm I haven't tried the older ECU concept so i don't know how well it works, but if makes your YFZ run perfect like it did mine and many others, Its worth it man 100%.....If you do everything correctly and dyno it you should get 48 to 49HP! If you get the FCI I've heard people getting close to 50 with just the Big 3. Have fun :D
Trigger 219 I find it odd you would use a yfz that doesn’t really have the bog issue. The California emissions bog didn’t appear until 2014 so using a 2011 doesn’t seem fair lol Cool bikes tho :)
Best video to see the difference
Power commander V?
Good video bud! That's how it should be comparing!
does the vortex reduce the amount of heat the exhaust has cuz my cousins yfz's exhaust gets soo red and hot
What is the jetting on the bikes if you know
My yfz won’t idle and compression is good do u know what could b wrong
Sick ass bikes bro
Can I use the MSD in my 2020 yfz450r? or my only option is the vortex? Waiting for your answer, thanks!
Xavier Alvarado you can use the MSD on the 2020 yfz450r it can also go on any yfz450r
Trigger 219 Bro the MSD makes the most power????
Vortex works amazing but i wouldn't waste your money. Go find a 09-13 ECU and call it a day.
You're welcome.
