Interesting about the laundromats situation, as I remember seeing one outside the Supervalu shop in Gortahork when I was doing a bit of food shopping there for my self-catering lodgings nearby. I was scratching my head as it is a tiny place , but then remembered that there is a large hostel across the road, so I guess that would be where all the customers come from ! Another video packed with useful information, Ellie. Thank you.

I will add that if you're from the States and are used to carrying your water filter, the Irish trail apps don't list water sources like Far Out (Gutthooks) does. I believe the reason is that there is soooo much water. When I did the Coast to Coast Trail (E8) last year from Dublin to Dursey Island last year I found that along the 480ish miles there was only 1 place where I didn't have a water source for maybe 10 miles. Most of the time I would carry 1 liter and was fine. Very much like the AT.
I'm excited you're going to try out the Quickdraw! :) I think you're gonna love it.
Oh and PS. I was at one of those Tesco laundry places and noticed a guy doing a down blanket. I asked him if he thought I would be able to do my down sleeping bag, and he said yeah for sure. He said they had down soap in it. I tried it, and it worked perfectly! I was delightfully surprised! :) It was a separate machine to the regular one, so make sure to check that it's for down.

Just to add - the Hiiker app has water points marked on it for some of the Irish trails at least, under the Amenities section on a trail 👍

Thanks so much for sharing. How do you chose wild camping spots on long hikes? Do you plan them ahead or do you just go with what you find on the trail? I always feel like I pass the best spots around mid-day which is way I usually have to continue walking :-D
