Mexican gray wolf Trumpet and her newborn pups represent the Wolf Conservation Center's participation in the active effort to save a species from extinction.
The WCC, a 501c3 non-profit organization in South Salem, NY, is one of a network of facilities participating in the Mexican Wolf SAFE program - a bi-national initiative whose primary purpose is to support the reestablishment of Mexican gray wolves in the wild through captive breeding, public education, and research.

that’s a whopping litter!! I watch a channel that films gray wolves in the wild; they follow a number of packs. I haven’t seen this many (yet). those who survive are fewer from the spring to fall. ..
