This video is excellent! Seriously - it's crazy how many questions you answered that no one else on the entire web did.
Thanks for helping me decide on these things! :)
Love the new presentation look, Tim! Keep up the good work! Blessings!
For all the bells and whistles I was looking for for gaming at my work desk, this fit the bill and was a full 150 cheaper than the next option. Thanks for the review, it helped inform my decision and I'm very happy with it :D
Looks like MSI didn't bother to tune Fast mode of this monitor. Could've been ~6ms with manageable overshoot.
You know what would be cool? If we could manually tune overshoot on monitors
@@GewelRealAs much as I would agree in theory, I get the feeling that it's not as easy as trying to get a signal on some antennae...
@@moldyshishkabobit's like fuel maps on cars is my guess
A firmware update can surely offer more option. but for now lets take advantage of the bad note review to get the price falling a bit. :D
@@GewelRealyea right...there is a reason ALOT of companies don't do it and if it was easy it would be done
I'm guessing its the same panel as gigabytes new m27u.
It would be interesting to see if that one has better tuned overdrive.
Please review the Gigabyte M27U and the LG 27GR93U. I think these two are going to be direct competitors to this MSI.
Can you review the Gigabyte M27U. Haven’t seen a decent review on it on YT but saw it was highly rated on rtings
I would to see you guys do a ktc m27p20 pro review. I've been hearing good things about it. But you guys do the best in depth reviews and I would to see how this monitors compares to other 4k 27 inch monitors.
I bought the GP27U and I've been loving it, tonight just figured out Borderlands 3 works perfectly with HDR and Nvidia Freestyle at the same time, and I can add MagicBloom from ReShade on top of it. Makes me feel like on PC we've been missing out on better peak brightness all this time SDR has hard limitations.
I have the GP950 since more than a year and it wasn't exactly new when I bought it. It's weird LG hasn't released an updated model.
There is a new LG 27GR93U but with regular IPS (no nano IPS) and HDR 400. Still can't find reviews of this new one.
Man numbers on a spread sheet don’t do this experience justice. Got a 3080ti and just bought this thing and damn ! Auto hdr is usable and actually for once is bright enough to look Amazing. Also response time is tight in person. I can’t see any artifacts and it feels faster than my 600 dollar aorus monitor
I expected more from 4k offerings this year, but seems like companies are still pushing 1440p as their main offering. Releasing almost similar model for the same/higher price just confirms it
4k still probably only makes up for few percent of the market so that's likely why it's unfortunately the case
Yeah, there are very few good 4k monitors. I'd also appreciate ultrawide 4k options.
Gigabyte M27U is the one to get at this price point in my opinion, but Tim hasn't reviewed it yet.
And thank Christ for that, considering GPUs capable of pushing 4K at a solid 120 FPS in modern games are still expensive as fuck.
@@3Dant and what about those who can afford GPUs capable of pushing 4k gaming? There's only going to be more of them in a year or so. You don't need 120 fps. When you play at 4k, solid 60+ is just fine. 🙂 I don't think anyone plays competitively at 4k. Or they can use upscaling to get there.
Do you have any plans on reviewing the new M27u monitor? I can’t find any videos on it.
Do you have any opinion on the MSI MAG32UPF? I thought they would be similar in screen and technologies, but I can't guide you about a very different monitor, plus there are very few reviews about the 32
KVM is good, if they work properly. Had so many problems with the Sony M9, with the KVM functionality.

Got the revised 27m2v on the way. Mini LED is the way to go now.
I really want to see a MAG 323UPF review soon
It's 469 CAD which is about $350 USD right now on sale at Costco. Fantastic price for this monitor.
Hi
I have a dilemma and problem with choosing between LG 27GR93U-B and MSI 27UPF for 4K gaming. What would you choose and why?
from that list on various tests, which monitor is the best to buy if price is not an issue ?
cooler master tempest gp27u ? other ?
Please review the new LG 27GR75Q. The 27gp83b seems to be discontinued and this is the replacement. Seems to be a downgrade though, it's a more budget friendly option but I have a feeling it's not very good?
I hope u also review msi mag274qrf-qd again with lastest firmware cuz I'm really curious how that monitor is now with lastest firmware cuz it's now 399usd and i think it'll get more cheaper as well
This monitor was on sale today at $399 on newegg. That seems to be an insane deal. Hoping the slowish response time doesn't affect me that much! I also hope MSI decides to tweak response times further... the abysmal difference between Fast and Fastest clearly shows there's a LOT of room for improvement.
It's $757 in here...
How are you liking it so far? Would you recommend it? I'm currently looking at it and I can't make a decision haha.
@@ZonkedOutTCM For that price, it's an extremely good monitor, and recommended. No real issues.
@@emp1985 thanks for the reply!
it's $366 now, how do you feel?
hopefully gonna be getting an M27Q X in a month for Au$630. Is it worth it or are there newer monitors I should wait for?
Will you be doing a review on the MSI - MAG 323UPF?
Can you please review the Dell G3223Q monitor? It's 4K 144Hz as well and costs around $600. Would love to see how it compares to the other monitors in its price range.
im watching this because there's a black friday sale on this product for 499$ cad (363$ usd). and there's even an open box one for 449$ cad (326$ usd). think i gotta pull the trigger for this one
Please review the Koorui 24e3
Best budget 1080p monitor apparently
Could you review the Dell Alienware AW3821DW? It is currently at a solid $900 USD with G-Sync ultimate.
Is there a VA Panel Monitor around 27/28" 1440 or 4k with 120hz or more non curved out there?
I hate that we only see IPS Panels for Gaming. My old Benq EW277HDR VA Monitor is still the best Monitor ive tested in terms of Image Quality and Response Time. Its a shame that its only 60hz and 1080P.
I want to upgrade but theres no good VA Panel 27/28" Monitors non Curved out there currently.
I wanted to look closer to OLED Displays but i use my PC for Office Tasks alot and dont want burn in...
After going VA i cant stand IPS anymore.
Hello. I wanted to ask if you know the LED Monitor KTC M27P20 Pro 27 " 3840 x 2160, and if so, what do you think about it?
Hi, which one is the best? which do you prefer? gigabyte m28u or MSI MAG 274UPF
If you can reach 100-144hz at 4k, m28u. Else 27UPF
Hi, one question. Which one do you recommend between this msi and LG27GR93U? Thank you so much!
What is Cumulative Deviation? I'm still don't really understand how to calculate that part
Curious if you guys are going to test the MAG-275CQRXF?
Hi, I have a doubt, I want to buy a new monitor only for content consumption, no gaming, Should I go for a normal 4k 60 Hz monitor or Buy a 4k 60 Hz TV
Very thorough review as always. I personally would like to see some more 32" 1440p (relatively affordable) monitor reviews. The ASRock PG32QF2B Phantom 32" in particular is one I've had my eye on. Seems like it's got some bang for the buck at only $240 (US). Would love to see you run it through the testing gauntlet. Anyways keep up the great work with the channels.
This monitor is a great deal if you are in Australia. It’s down to 699 AUD.
1ms advertised and you get 9ms should be a class action sue case!
They won't stop lying about the product until it starts hurting their precious brand name.
At Amzn it cost $360 USD (Feb 17,2024), i think for the price its a good monitor.
Im planning to upgrade from a 27" inch 1080p 60hz monitor to that one
Did you pull the trigger?
@@Awesomeness4627 Yeap, ive been enjoying this monitor so far
Anybody have any thoughts/experience with the BenQ EX240?
Hello!!!
does it support refresh rates other than 144/60hz? 100Hz?
I wish WE Could get a 34 '' 4k 144+ hz Native OLED panel for under $599 with Free sync prem/pro & all the other good shit ( like the Samsung 32" Odyssey Neo G8 4K BUT in 34 inch) .....if some South Korea manufacture could do that like they did b4 with the 34 1440p monitors a few years ago & have it actually be a GOOD Monitor and NOT cut corners it would sell Out just like the others did back then !!!
Does this monitor maybe have a service menu where we can dial the overshoot correctly?
Any word about the msi mag323upf?
Some needs to do the ASUS VG32UQA1A. There's some good feedback, but no hard data to go off of.
I'll second that. VA doesn't get enough attention. 32 inch high refresh VA = best all-rounder screen
#ROADTO100K 👏🏻
Hello there Tim. I really would love you to bring up the blank screen issue (the screen goes off and back on whenever DSC activated/disactivated) present on S28AG70 and newly released S28BG70 so that maybe lazy Samsung can fix it with a firmware update instead of releasing the S28AG70 as S28BG70 with smart tv features as well as the same issue. 🙏
Love your videos man ❤. New subscriber here. Can you do a review of Koorui 27e3q?
This monitor is not bad at all if you mostly play single player titles or ps5. It has really good performance from 60hz to 90hz without overshoot. 9ms is enough for those refresh rates. And even 4090 can’t play those new games with max settings and Rtx at 90fps.
Can I have the awesome wallpaper, please? 😊 The one with the mountain peak. 😊
In the country I am in, it is sold at $500usd with tax. So getting it over the M28u since they have the same price here
M28 u slaps this , it has just slight advantages like slight color slight viewin angle and mobility of the monitör i did not see msi but gigabyte is better i think
Has this monitor received a firmware update for response/ motion yet?
I just got this for 375 instead of around 450 for similar competition and instead of a 1440p because upscaling is big now and my 6700xt can do 4k ~50-80 native but wont hit 144 in any non esport in 4k
I chose it over the msi287upf because of color performance
I haven't seen a firmware update. Which is annoying because I'm getting mad overshooting and ghosting
Do a review on BenQ Mobiuz please!
Is it edgelit or FALD ?
what do you think is a best monitor for the money, best value
Tim could you include pixel response time comparisons at 24Hz? Most of the time people use their monitors for viewing regular content. It would be good to know which monitors are the best at that.
"regular content" you mean movies? Because that's the only thing recorded at 24fps. Even most local news and sports is 60fps. You don't want a fast response time when you have low refresh rates. It creates double images as opposed to a smooth smear that you get with a slower transition. It's why OLED's look so bad on 30hz content. So good motion for a movie and good motion for a game at high FPS are at direct odds with each other with sample and hold display tech.
@@paulcox2447 Yes stuff like YT videos that aren't 60 FPS or movies etc. Since that's what people spend the most amount of time looking at on their monitors, I thought it'd be good to know how monitors perform there.
This is the first I've heard of sample and hold tech. I'll Google it.
Thanks for your help!
Who would put your refresh rate at 24hz? Disgusting
@@xpodx sorry I probably should've said 24fps instead of 24Hz. I was talking about movies and videos that are shot at 24fps.
@corvoattano9303 can watch it on 144hz or more, what's wrong with that
Could’ve you please test Dell G3223Q?
Review Aoc ag275qxr 😊
Direct in fight against the m27u that look like to be the same panel.
Wish that one of them had display port 2.1. I have random black screen caused by DSC while alt-tabbing a lot with my 7900 xt HDMI port on a m28u.
Ended up returning it and continue to play on my old 7 years old 1080p 144hz monitor… The Upgrade only lasted 5 day, but the downgrade was brutal. >_>
Try upscaling using Adrenalin's VSR setting, similar to Nvidia's DLSDR setting, for the time being. 1440p upscaling might look ok on the 1080p monitor. I have an M28U and I haven't exactly had this same issue, but I can relate. Maybe wait/save your money and get a better monitor, maybe 32". Good luck
Why its not 32 inch. We need more 32 inch updated panels. Now its either lg 32 4k one or any oled (i hate oled as i use monitors for productivty too). For me oled is literally for tv (or gaming tv monitor)
Could you review koorui 24e
Should I spend $350 on this monitor? I need it for accurate color work on my Mac and gaming on my PC and PS5. KVM switch is nice feature for me.
what you suggest best monitor under 600$??
Do you have a video for best monitors for Xbox Series X?
If don't expect magic and simply using this monitor as 60hz 4k monitor will it surprise me with quality or it's not the best monitor in many aspects?
is this monitor good to playing playstation 5?
Someone know if this model have speakers? (I know that monitor’s speakers are bad but i want to know if this have it)
The 274UPF has no built in speakers.
I just bought MAG274QRF-QD 30 mins ago 😁👌
I'd love to get a review of the Asus pg38uq. 38" seems like the perfect goldilocks zone for a large desktop monitor. But $1000 for a non-OLED kind of stings.
I bought this MSI monitor. How does it turn off? Is it auto off when the monitor light is orange? There is no off button whether to press or on-screen click.
Hold the orange navigation button down for about five seconds, the light will turn off which means the monitor is off.
just picked up 2 of these just under $400
does it work well with macbook?
i got it fot 485 bucks, for that price is an amazing monitor to buy
32in is the sweetspot for 4k desktop, good ppi and big enough to go side by side without squinting
so I dunno if ive been scamed or not as it says the hdmi has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports however only 1 of mine actually seems to do hdmi 2.1 if anyone can help me figure out how the hell this is happening id love to hear thanks
Looking forward your review on the new Asus ROG Swift PG38UQ monitor! Cheers
Does this Monitor support G-Sync VRR via HDMI 2.1?
I've the same question, have u any updates of this feature?
Honestly Tim is a lot more positive then I am after seeing the numbers. Performance is really problematic for the price and is a hard no for 600$. Even for 500$ I would've skipped if it I were looking for a budget 4k 144Hz offering.
As Tim says, performance of this monitor is only good between 60 and 100Hz and as such it should be judged accordingly.
As if you will be playing over 100fps often on a 4K monitor.....and if you have a $1500 gpu that can you would probably buy a super high end screen
@@samgoff5289 can you give me an example of a super high-end screen ?

Just bought mine for 500 CAD, seems like a great deal
Its $349 now, picked it up today
Once we get a 240hz 27inch 4k oled monitor, we've made it boys
yesssir
for only after within 600$
we'll keep dreaming until then
Having tried OLED to be honest I don't consider any new display that is not OLED. Using a 48" LG CX for gaming and video editing and a IPS for work/coding. I believe my next display would be something like a 35-40" 4K 144Hz OLED
Yeah I was just thinking that...those specs would be sweet. Contrast on IPS panels is total puke compared to OLED, hard to go back
한글 자막은 없나요? ㅠ_ㅠ
tbh i wouldn't recommend this, LG 27GP95R (cheaper version of GP950) was going on sale for $500 recently, and its bound to go on same price again, and that monitor is way better than this, 160HZ, HDR 600, Nano IPS panel, there is no reason to buy this over LG
I returned two 27GP95Rs that I bought at $500 ea because the monitors do not work at all with Mac OS. Nothing but black screens, no picture and no audio output via the headphone jack in Mac OS. Worked wonderfully in Windows though. Also, dealing with LG customer support was terrible. I'd stay away from LG and go for this or any other monitor with a kvm setup if you are dealing with multi-device setup.
come on 32 inch version
I have same monitor and on ps5 4k@120hz it keeps going on and off
This being one of the best and largest monitor review channels is kinda starting to make me a bit sad that there is still not even a mention about the monitors from INNOCN and KTC. There are so many interesting options out there, but for the last few months (?), there have only been videos about the same OLEDs and QD-OLEDs that bring nothing new and are way outside of price range for most people anyway. And now we finally at least have something slightly different, but still just another 4K monitor, that would not even bring anything new to the market if it was actually good, which it isn't.
Where are INNOCN and KTC established? I've never heard of them
Innocn/KTC is impossible to get anywhere in EU and mostly every country. Review a monitor that have over a year of back order is pointless. Even more when the company don't respect any warranty cause thier cannot even supply the demand at all and have way worst QC issue that Samsung. Not to mention that mostly everywhere all the interesing innocn monitor get jacked of a nearly x2 price with a 4 month shipping.
@@user-Cata7sti7ma7what a surprise, someone talking from a place of ignorance in the comments section.
They're available in NA, Asia, and I'm sure with AUS being inbetween they could get them too. I just ordered one a day ago, and it's been shipped.
Chinese eshops ship all around the world. Some even have local warehouses. For example KTC was very fast and easy to get from Poland within like a week. Warranty and QC can be a problem, but it's a risk you take when you are buying something for half the price and it's also something that can be explored in a review.@@user-Cata7sti7ma7

8K monitors at 32 120 Hz should already be in development
@MAD_SAM13 should be.. but, I'd like to know if someone has some insight and can say if it's a 2024 thing or 2025? Maybe they'll do 10k 144hz by 2025, who knows. I'd like 28"
@@xpodx In the near future, an 8K 120 hz monitor from 32 inches may be released.
Do you need a 10K by 28 inches? are you chasing a high pixel density?
@MAD_SAM13 ya I have 4k 28" 144hz, want a huge jump in pixels and ppi
@@xpodx I myself have a 27-inch monitor with 4K resolution. the pixel density is 163, and all this is not enough for me, I still notice pixels, and this is taking into account the fact that I have pretty poor eyesight. the diagonal of 27 is also small, but I would like 32. but the resolution of 4K by 32 pixels is even more noticeable there. so, I'm waiting for an 8K monitor by 32 inches, it should already satisfy me.

Hey Tim I'm looking for a top end gaming monitor but sadly most oleds are INSANELY overpriced in my country for example the lg 27gr95qe is 1600 dollars and the lg c2 is a whopping 2100 dollars at best the only monitor I found for a reasonable price was the samsung odyssey neo g8 for 1150 dollars still overpriced but its the cheapest price I found, you think its worth having to go through samsung's BS QC and having to pay extra for a three year warranty? Also I play on ps5, so scanlines aren't an issue for me.
AFAIK the Neo G7 has less problem than the G8 and performs pretty similar to G8 except refresh rate.
Dell G3223Q
Cooler Master Tempest GP27Ul
MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD
Gigabyte M28U
Considering the prices of the LG monitors you mentioned, these options offer solid performance at a more reasonable cost. However, you might need to downsize or compromise on certain features to fit a more budget-friendly range.
@mohammedalzaabi7496 the msi is 1400 dollars and all the others are nowhere to be found expect the gigabyte which is 1070.
