    You've got a super chilled style of aquascaping I love it!
    I'm glad the green walls are coming over to the new place as well! It's a bit of an icon now!

    Some Trichopsis pumila could be very interesting if they fit in here, but if you plan this aquarium to be in your bedroom you should change the fish because they produce a croaking sound

    Don’t say you’re not smart! That was a brilliant idea to put a little hole in theroot tabs! I’m gonna do that.

    Yo I've been having a ton of trouble with shrimp here in indy too! Almost lost my colony. I switched to RO water so hopefully that helps but we'll see!

      Shrimp love their calcium and our tap is great for that! But yeah I recommend using a little tap water and diluting it with RO. The GH here is EXTREME.

      Yeah 45U. I've been going down the rabbit hole after reading this comment. Never seen those before! Such a cool fish; do you have them yourself?

    hey @World of Whasian
    do you not not boil the wood before you put it in the aquarium?
    i read online that it is essential and since I am rescaping an old tank with new wood, I was looking for advice.

    • @will-pd7zs
      @will-pd7zs День тому +1

      Its because you can lock it down with glue and rocks (use glue to glue the rocks to the wood so it doens't float). If you don't then it is recommended that you boil it so it is water logged and wont float when you fill the tank with water.

    • @will-pd7zs
      @will-pd7zs День тому +1

      But just in case the wood has any harmful chemicals you should still boil it.

    Do you worry about placing rocks directly on the glass bottom? I am about to scape a new tank and I’m really worry about this, but maybe I am being too precious?
