so wonderful to see how each dancer is paired with the variation for which she’s cast. Daria is both rhythmic and delicately precise, using her feet to create both mood and movement. Thank you so much for offering us such a variety of lovely dancers!

Music is far to slow. Vaganova herself was famous for this variation....there is a caricature of her as the Yellow/Huang-ho River by the Legat Bros.

But this choreography is by Pierre Lacotte - how much of the original Petipa remains?

@jewkski this is not the lacotte version! :) it's the candeloro restaging which is intended to follow the original as closely as possible. i still don't know how much of the original remains, though.
