You helped me realize how complicated and borderline insane this game is. Compared to a lot of fps, Overwatch is so vastly different and requires you to learn a lot. Great vid!
But there are over 8 years of content on UA-cam and reddit that teaches you how to play, I'd recommend AVOID QUICKPLAY until you know how every hero works in Vs AI in the training category.
Ikr, i left OW for a couple years to play Apex and came back thinking i should be much better at the game now that i have better aim. I was wrong, i got better at getting kills but my overall skill level did not change at all and im still stuck in gold.
@@kitastrophe0 Yeh, lot of ow players hated the 6v6 because it means there are 2 tanks. Not more chaotic but slower haha Oh, and I think you could like to play as Widowmaker, the sniper girl. Just remember to press the aim button to use the single shoot sniper and get all those heads :D
@@kitastrophe0 also about salty people in chat, there's an option in settings to turn text chat off. i would really recommend turning it off cause it's just not worth
Not sure if this is too helpful but Overwatch roles are like a typical fighter game. Tanks lead the team and take the brunt of the damage, DPS are damagers and aim to kill the enemy, and supports are essentially healers who must keep the team alive throughout the fight! - If anyone is a larger character model, it’s safe to assume they’re a tank (Ex. Sigma!). Try not to 1V1 them unless they’re extremely low - Overwatch heroes cannot run, but they have movement abilities. (Ex. Soldiers sprint) These make getting across the map much easier! - As a support, prioritize your tank and critical team mates. If you didn’t previously see, they’ll be yellow with a CRITICAL label on them. - Listening is extremely important in Overwatch, i’m not sure if it is as much in Valorant but Ultimates have certain voicelines that you need to listen out for (as well as enemy steps which will always be louder than your own) 10:03 is an example of an Ultimates voiceline - Know your difference between Projectile and Hitscan heroes. Projectiles take time to travel, while Hitscan immediately hits. (Ex. Kiriko’s knives take time to travel but Soldier’s bullets hit instantly) - Overwatch does have voice chat, you mentioned wanting to talk earlier and it’s in your sound settings! - Support or DPS are definitely an easier starter role, as they don’t bear the responsibility of leading the team- But be warned, Overwatch can be a toxic environment and you will often encounter toxic people Welcome to Overwatch!! I hope you enjoy it
@@GriseWeissharkit's easier for a novice to grasp. By the time they're used to the hero's abilities, they'll naturally find ways to create value from them
The short burst shooting with Tracer is adorable and so Valorant coded awe!!!! Usually we just rush in with Tracer, BLAST everything we got and rewind but this gameplay is lowkey so cute
This opened my eyes to realize how new players see the games, watched a bunch of lore and watched my friend play before joining. It's definitely chaotic and very fast paced. Foot steps and peaking corners only really matters when they're some sort of sniper or if you're worried someones flanking TARGET THE SUPPORTS
Climbing up in rank is kinda frustrating though. You better have duo or stack so you can have better team synergy. A lot of players don't like to swap just like me. But I don't remember myself being this silly when I started playing ow ehehehe.
@@nurikkulanbaev3628I call them characters all the time. Not that it's really wrong, but you know, technically, these are two different aspects of the same thing.
"I'm just gonna stand still and shoot" is maybe the most valorant take in this video :D I know the overwatch is a bit overwhelming and confusing for beginners, but you did great ! The game could do a bit more to introduce the difference game modes or roles, but at the same time it let the player discover all of that. Biggest downside is the other players blaming each other, unfortunatly. Cool you had fun while playing it !
The way you only track your target while tap firing is so funny, truly new player overwatch gameplay is cool to see. You seem like the kind of person who learns quickly, so i’d bet if you keep playing this game will become significantly less chaotic soon. Good luck (underrated channel btw)
as a top 500 overwatch player since beta. this actually disturbed me. But im all for it. seeing someone play the game for the first time in 2024 makes me realize how chaotic the game truly is to a new player. Amazing.
So many funny comments while you were playing: “What would you even comm, ‘I need healing’?”, “Kiriko takes no brainpower”, “footsteps aren’t important”. As others have already said, Overwatch can be a very high level strategy game that requires a lot of game-sense and calling out ultimate usage and cooldowns as well as who to focus down on the enemy team can become incredibly important. At higher levels footsteps are also super important to hear because there will be good flankers who will try to assassinate you especially if you play support. Kiriko is one of the higher skill ceiling heroes in the game but that relies mostly on deep game knowledge of when and how to use her abilities based on which other heroes are in the match and which abilities have or have not been used by other players. The cool thing about Overwatch, though, is that there are heroes with a fairly low skill floor where you can have an impact without having to know too much and they can simultaneously also have a really high skill ceiling where you can be rewarded for very skillful and intelligent play! Glad you were able to enjoy it, though, even if it feels incredibly chaotic at first! And I think your reaction to playing Tank is very natural. Tank is probably the most difficult role to play in Overwatch 2 because so much rests on your shoulders and often one mistake from the Tank will cost a team their team fight. I’ve been playing since the beta for OW1 and I love how impactful I can feel playing Tank, but it can definitely be overwhelming for someone who isn’t deeply familiar with all the heroes and what they do.
It's nice to see new players. The game revolves around game sense and positioning and not only mechanical skill. Please don't listen to music because foot steps and sound cues are actually very important. :( 1)You can tell when someone is about to ult, counter ult, block or cancel their ult. Block Rein ult or JQ ult 2)Tell when a hero is on cool down and what ability they used. Tracer blink, Reaper wraith, Kiri using Suzu/TP etc. 3) Tell what hero is around the corner based on their foot steps. Such as listening to Hog's heavy foot steps, or Cassidy's spurs etc. 4) You can even turn on sound cues for when your teammates die. I often wonder how people not notice the foot steps of a hero flanking for the seventh time or someone stomping on high ground and then I remember that they're probably listening to music lol
@@kitastrophe0 Also yea, you were playing two game modes in one with the King's Row map. Some maps are hybrid mode maps, where you defend a point or stop a payload if the enemy manages to capture the point.
I would add some thing about music. It also important to get some important clues about the game. For example when the time is running up and you have to hurry and touch the payload or get on the point. Sound is extremely important in OW. And it's better to hear everything. All serves it's purpose. Also my advice would be to try heroes at the practice range first, get used to their skills, ultimates and then try in game. Maybe even practice with AI first. There will be not so much pressure and F! fast movements. Bots are quite predictable. But you will grasp the initial understanding of the hero you playing. And F1 is a help if you want to understand what each hero can do. Glad you liked it! Hope you will keep playing
@@kitastrophe0 im rerunning back youre footage and can actually not see it because my brain cant understand such brilliancy, you are just on a whole another level 😭sorry for the misunderstanding 🙏can you teach me your methods plss

I'm here for this, watching someone learn Overwatch is entertaining as hell. I haven't seen it in a loooong time, I'm a 4000+ hour player there isn't many new players these days.
One thing I will say to you, because people get caught in this loop and never get out is that "Counters do NOT exist". There is this myth that people believe 1 hero can beat another just based on their kit/abilities. When in reality all you need is to just understand the fundamentals. Which vary from role to role. With Support, you heal your teamates when they NEED healing; and when they are good on health, you go and do damage. With Damage role heros, you take aggressive angles adjacent from your team and utilize the hero's kit. The more damage you do, the more likely you are to win and get kills. With Tank, taking space and keeping that space from the tank is the way to go. As tank, taking space is very good. If your DPS want to take an angle so that they can perform better, then it is your job as Tank to keep that space occupied for your DPS. It is a lot and you are will learn a lot. Self reflection, improving yourself is the main way to get good in this game of Overwatch. Play to your heros strength and adapt to how your abilities interact with your enemies and teamates. Goodluck.
just a tip since you mentioned at the beginning voice comms dont seem important. voice comms are super needed in games if you want to boost your winrate. important comms involve telling people what cooldowns have been used and the enemy cant use at the moment. for example, kiri's suzu is often called out or her tp which is usually "kiri no tp or suzu". it applies to most characters in the game. there's ult tracking which is gauging who might or might not have ult and comming that so you can play more defensively or offensively depending on what ults you have and what they may or may not have. also if an enemy is low you normally go "heronamehere one" in case someone else can secure the kill for you when you cant. there's other stuff too but those are the most useful ones. the game is A LOT at first but once you learn it and play it, it doesnt seem nearly as chaotic most matches (notice i clarify "most" bc there are some games where i genuinely stare at my screen baffled)
As someone who has played this game way too much, its always such a joy seeing new people try this game and go through all the chaos and try to figure out what's happening.
This is the most wholesome overwatch video in years. Even the little things like discovering that you can break stuff in the spawn rooms was so wholesome
This was such a hit of pure nostalgia 😂 the total chaos of starting to play overwatch for the first time and the utter confusion that comes with it is great. It seems like some other people got you covered with the very basic tips, but here’s a couple extras. - some damage heroes, such as tracer and genji, are meant to flank the enemy. as a result, the end up in pretty tight spots (but they have movement abilities to get out of there and find a health pack). As a result, if you are playing a flanker, you should not expect to get healed by your supports unless you run back to them - they are expecting you to go do your own thing, and if they tried to help, they would 100% get exploded. That’s why you weren’t getting healed as tracer - they aren’t going to follow you on a flank most of the time. - while you can absolutely chill out and not listen to footsteps if you don’t want to, it can be REALLY useful, especially when playing support. Every character has distinct footstep sounds, and it gives you a big heads up about getting jumped by someone scary. Allied footsteps are MUCH quieter, so they don’t tend to get in the way of hearing enemy footsteps much, in my experience. Also, characters who are more “dangerous” to your character (as determined by blizzard) will have louder-sounding footsteps, so you can more easily hear them sneaking up. - when supports get hit by damage, the character in game will automatically call out that damage with a voiceline. What the voiceline is can be very specific to the damage (especially for things like getting zapped by Winston’s tesla cannon, which causes them to make a noise like they’re being electrocuted) or it can be a more general callout. either way, it’s really good to keep an ear out for it - it can let you know when a support needs healing, is getting jumped and needs backup, etc. often, it’s just a quick “oof” type noise, just to let you know they’re taking damage.
the current overwatch 2 requires a large knowledgebase of hero names, their skills, and what dialogue they shout when using abilitys and especially ults. The more you build this knowledgebase, the easier and more fun matches become and you won't be so confused. It's really a great chill game if you dont take it too seriously
This is why I’m so privileged I had OW veterans (one being one of the best in my country at one point) babysitting me and teaching me… I’d probably have a mental breakdown trying to figure all this out on my own!!
8:18 The designers wanted a "satisfying" hit sound so they thought the most satisfying sound was a beer bottle opening. So they recorded that then sped it up and something else and we get the most satisfying hit sound.
This was genuinely so delightful to watch haha, I’ve been playing ow since middle school and it’s honestly such a fun game for its chaos! There was just something so refreshing about watching you get introduced to the game, exploring it, giving it a chance and enjoying the good aspects of it :D All everyone does in the ow community is complain and sh*t talk all the bads 24/7 so it does weigh down on the casual players :( Hope to see you play it more, it requires a lot of earning but once you get the hang of it, you’d enjoy it for what it is. Absolutely loved your vibes
Seeing the joy of first experiencing this game and its characters... man, I was smiling throughout the whole video. Also seeing you discover you could break things in spawn, one of the greatest joys lmao. 11:28 This was adorable lmao Would LOVE to see you play more Overwatch, I've played since its open beta and watching new players is always fun.
watching you play the game for the first time makes me very happy to see. it was really funny when you didn't know the hero's you were playing against like shooting reaper in his little ghostly form i wheezed. despite the toxic things that people say in chat i do hope you have fun playing this silly game.
"i feel like noone is healing me" quick tip, supports usually don't heal you unless ur infront of them or where the main fight is, so try to stay with ur support unless ur confident. they also tend to focus on healing tank, especially in worse lobbies they don't heal their other teammates as much
I love that today's new Overwatch player experience is Suzu-ing the enemy, back in the day we'd shoot at our teammates as Lucio since we didn't understand the healing aura concept 🙃
I've been playing overwatch for a long time now. Seeing someone come into the modern game clueless makes me realize just how insanely complicated it actually is.
Each Hero in Overwatch has a unique kit, so it's important to read the hero details to know what they do. For example, Mercy is one of the very few heros that can switch weapon (mouse scroll wheel on pc). She has a small gun as a secondary weapon, and her staff is able to heal/ damage amplify allies Hero Suggestions -------------------------------- Support: Mercy (noob friendly): Mercy is both very mobile which you seem to like, and low agency which can help in building map awareness, gamesense and learning the game modes. Her playstyle is to fly between teammates and healing them/ damage amplify them. She is also the only hero with a resurrect ability Moira (noob friendly): Moira have a very high survivability, since she can become invisible and invulnerable using her 1st ability. Also, both her healing and her damage are easy to use, so you can have a lot of impact even with not much experience Lúcio (fun pick): He can ride walls horizontally, provide healing and speed boost. He can also also push an entire team off the map if you are lucky, using one ability. Gamestyle be like WEEEEEEEEE the entire game Baptiste (shooter like): Baptiste is probably the support that resembles a shooter the most. He shoots damage with his gun and launches healing grenages for his team. He also has an immortality ability, preventing allies from reaching 0 hp. Can jump very high after crouching -------------------------------- Damage: Junkrat (noob friendly): Junkrat is an insane criminal who is obssesed with explosions, and his kit is delivers this theme perfectly. His primary fire is a grenade launcher, with bombes that are able to bounce off walls. Meaning, you can dish out damage even behind covers. He has a landmine ability which allows him to launch himself or enemies in the air, maki g him very mobile and somewhat unpredictable. He has a passive that leaves a bunch of bombs behind when he dies, providing him value even when he dies Reaper (noob friendly): Has a ghost like ability which makes him invulnerable, and and an ability that allows him to teleport in his line of sight. He is a short range fighter with two big fat guns and a lifesteal passive. Great survivability, fun to play. Good vs many of the tanks, and in sneaking into the backlines of the enemy team Mei (survivability): Mei has a relatively high base health for the damage role, making her a bit more biffy. It is important, since she comes in clows and sprays you with a cold air or something, slowing you down. Her abilities are placing a huge wall, and to cover herself with ice. When in ice, she is invulnerable, and heals over time. Her ult is an AoE freeze ability Widowmaker (sniper): She is THE sniper of Overwatch. If you like this kind of playstyle try her out. Has a hook ability which allows her to launch herself in the air and change locations Genji and Hanzo (weeb trap): Two japanese ninja brothers. Genji is a cyborg with shurikens and a huge sword. Hanzo is an archers. Both habe dragon themed ultimate. Can climb walls Genji can double jump. Childhood friends of Kiriko Soldier 76 (shooter like): Soldier 76, as you saw, is the most shooter-like hero in the game, making him a great intro hero for people who come from other shooter games. Basic and reliable -------------------------------- Tank: Is a sense, tanks are the center of the team in overwatch. They don't necessarily do the most, but the team comp in mostly built around them. Tanks require more macro plays than the rest, so they are probably more difficult for beginners than Damage and Support. If you plan on playing OW, and you don't like tanks, give them a try again after you become more familiar with the game Reinhardt (noob friendly): Big german grandpa with big fat shield. Has a huge hammer as his weapen. Shields in Overwatch (actual term is barrier but whatever) recharge slower if they break, so keep that in mind. One of the most reliable tanks in the game, giving great cover for immobile heroes. As long as you don't take the bait of charging in too often, should be relatively easy to play and win with. Ult is AoE stun in front of him D.Va (noob friendly): One of the more mobile heros in Overwatch. She is a gamer girl in a mecha, with a flight ability and guns and missile. Her ult converts her mecha into a bomb, which she can launch into the enemy team using her flight ability. It one shots almost anything in the game. Her defense ability swallows all projectiles that passes through it. Making some heros completely useless against it. Even though she is kind of hard to be good at, she is extremely fun and therefore a good intorduction to tanks in general Zarya (versatility): Zarya kit revolves around her defensive ability. Her bubbles shield either herself or an ally, and any damage the bubble takes converted to amplifying the damage of her own weapon. When fully charge, Zarya is a real threat to any champion in the game, while when the charge is at 0 she barely does anything. Her ultimate is a black hole that sucks in nearby enemies and holds them all in one place. Her weapon can either use a beam for one-target close-range damage or launch bombs for AoE long range damage. Even though she is relatively immobile, she can bubble allies from a long range, enabling risky plays and deep dive of allies possible. If the damage output of the enemies is too high though, they can break her bubbles and make her and her team defenseless, so keep that in mind Wrecking Ball (mobility): A hamster inside a wrecking ball. Moves and swings around, smashes to the ground, etc. Playstyle be like VROOOOOMMMM. Probably most mobile hero in the game
Just for your information, because a lot of heroes are pretty complicated: you can press the F1 key while playing a hero to read about what that hero's abilities do exactly. It's just a short description, but it'll get you an idea of what to do with them. As for Mercy: right click is a damage boost on your team mates, left click is a heal beam and you can scroll to swap to your blaster and shoot enemies so you're not completely defenseless. Edit: I just noticed you did use that later in the video. I should watch til the end to comment lmao
Your reaction every time you got attacked by Reinhardt on route 66 had me dying. Just turn around and scream as you got clobbered with his hammer lol. Very appropriate reaction tbh
It’s so cute watching a new player!! Seeing someone tap their primary with tracer and zarya 😂 this makes me so happy haha I hope you get into the game.
Overwatch becomes a lot easier once you get to know the characters. Not knowing how a character like Zarya or Symmetra works makes them very hard to play against. Some characters can really change the entire playstyle of a team. Some characters can truly hold an entire composition together (often when tanks or supports are really good). The game looks pretty simple but you actually need to know quite a lot. Once you know what every hero does, you're golden. I actually ssuggest playing a bit with random heroes at first. Also, Roadhog has the most pristine body known to man, sculpted like a god and I am ashamed to even lay eyes upon his glorious buzzoms.
@kitastrophe0 haha, you'll come around. There are a lot of things to learn in OW. So it can't be done all at once. Slow and steady will win the race. 👍
I'd love to see more honestly that was pretty fun to watch cuz im so used to overwatch and then seeing you noticing the weirdness makes me go "Oh yeah that is kinda weird"
i got really into overwatch in 2020 but stopped playing when ow2 came out & sold my xbox. i just recently downloaded ow2 on my laptop & started playing again just because i miss it. this video was very fun to watch as someone who understands 70% of whats going on but all the new characters & their abilities are a mystery to me.
As an overwatch player, watching you play like this remindes me of when I first started a couple years ago. It is so adorable and it is really fun to watch you play ☺️. If we ever run into each other in a game I will definetly be friendly and probably emote to you. I always like to say hello to the Enemy Team. Lot of OW Players say the toxic people went to Marvel Rivals btw. So I hope you have a great gaming experience and meet a bunch of nice people on there.
this is beautiful as a diehard overwatch player for years. Its nice to see new people trying it out but i specifically love valorant players coming in. the mercy confusion is priceless, the lack of healing in a lot of situations this was goddamned beautiful i loved this 3:11 also agreed I do have Adhd and its my fav game
@@kitastrophe0 haha i think that mostly goes for the new supports, personally as a mercy player i think mercy mains (me obv) have the most situational awarness cause we fly all the time and js have a connected beam allowing us to have more time to gain info and think! you did good for 1st time though, would love to see you play mercy since im assuming you understand how she works now!
@@NightlyCirrus I have so much respect for mercy players cause I always see them getting chewed out for “not healing enough“😭 also yeah I thankfully understand how she works now😎
@@kitastrophe0 haha we're used to it, people only understand mercy from the basics, dont know how to play her and then complain. Mercy isnt supossed to be a main healer her main job is dmg boosting so personally i take the no healing enough (only if theres another support present in team) as a compliment cause i can see 2k damage boosted on my tab. And good you get her now! shes really fun esp the movement techniques
As someone who's played for 8 years this was interesting to see someone brand new to it. Discovering the heroes, abilities, pace of play genuinely fun to see. So true with your touch grass comment as well, I know we can all get hot headed but folk need to think more about themselves instead of flaming people.
I really enjoyed this video and got frustrated from not healing 😂😭it's so cute to see people play really for the first time 😊 I hope you had some way fun
Tracer in my perspective is the most hard character to play, you have little health (that means you are easily killed, with some shots), and You have to know well the context in order to use your cooldowns, usually you use your cooldowns to scape or in a fight to make your opponent switch line of sight so you hit more than he can focus with his aim and by the way tracer is all about taking a flank all the time, and using health packs to heal yourself
@@Kapanese maybe, i consider ball also difficult, but i have studied by top 500 players, payed courses of tracer and took session with coaches and i can be sure that tracer is hard to play, if not the hardest
Diamond Kiriko main here!! You actually unintentionally did what good kirikos should do lol.. she does insane damage (with the bonus dmg on critical hits) and people should take advantage of that. Her teleportation ability allows for you to flank on the enemy team, two-tap a low health character in the head, and then get back to your team with barely a scratch. Her other ability, suzu, is one of, if not the best ability in the game. It cleanses any negative effect and gives brief immunity plus healing, allowing for you to cancel a lottt of ultimates if you time it right. In regards to Kiriko ultimate, you should use it offensively most of the time as a fight initiator. Try to coordinate with your team to prepare to rush in and delete the enemy team. It gives faster movement, faster firing, faster reload, and less cooldown time on abilities (it's a CRACKED ultimate) Can easily win fights if the enemy team doesn't retaliate with a crazy amount of ults. Kiriko is sooo fun with her different playstyles (flanking and doing lots of damage and escaping easily and repeating, OR focusing on healing-which she can do a lottt of, and making game-changing saves to your team with suzu) and she works well in, dare I say, every single team composition. All this info is if you really wanna take overwatch seriously and grind comp games to win! Just remember to have fun!!
Kit, basically mercy guide as I have like 100 hours on her not that long but yeah yeah Mercy: The staff that had two toggles you could say yellow is healing and blue is a damage boost. Mercy has a gun (glock) that doesn’t have a set amount of damage but a percentage of their health ex. Mercy vs Mauga (the guy with two mini guns and also a tank) mercy would’ve won like 2 months ago but blizzard patched it sadly. I play controller so this is gonna be complicated but I’m gonna try: RB or the control button you see when facing a teammate is to basically fly to them if you press crouch you go up way more but going straight and aiming is called slingshotting (the nickname.) LT I don’t know what you have this saved as but in the bottom right of your screen you’ll see your abilities and the one with a wing and a plus button (+) is resurrect a teammate. Your ult literally lets you fly. And widow is quite easy if you can aim. The grapple hook lets you grapple to the place your aiming at (this is limited) and AIM in like not looking AIMING I don’t know what you have this saved as once again but you’ll find out if you even read this and play it again. She’s a sniper you can aim in but she has damage fall off where after a certain distance your damage lowers I think it’s 60 meters but patch this blizzard I don’t like horse. Venom mine is practically useless but you place it down and it’s one of your abilities it does 75 dmg and lets you see them through walls for a very limited amount of time. Her ultimate is wallhacks..? Pretty useless if they aren’t all standing still tbh. This is the first video I’ve ever watched on your channel but so far I’m having a great time ❤️!!! Keep up the good content!
As someone that plays both games (Valorant was my first fps and online game ever) I have to say that sometimes just reading the abilities can be helpful but I would suggest trying the vs AI mode for characters that you don't feel comfortable using in a real match, that way you can see at least how some abilities interact with your team and your enemies without the pressure of people been mean to you, cause people are really toxic specially in qp which is so weird but you know, people are going to try hard I guess. Characters that I recommend: for support I would say that Juno is a pretty begginer friendly character, the only difficult thing to use at first would be the ult but you can get the hand of it in a few matches, another good candidate if you want to do good damage and healing would be Baptiste, his shooting is similar to the Vandal or Bulldog I guess and his healing while it can be a bit weird at the beginning you get used to it and his abilities are easy to use but do require good timing. DPS: If you want something simple then you are fine with Soldier and Sojourn, Ashe is also a good choice that rewards good aim and her kit is pretty straight forward, Torbjorn is like Killjoy but his turret last until is destroyed and doesn't have activation range lol Tank: This role is difficult to recommend characters honestly, but I guess that characters like Sigma and Ramattra can be easier options in comparison to the rest of the tanks ( Reinhard is also easy cause you only need to swing a big hammer around but he is a close combat heroe so maybe not a good option for the start)
i love how youre spray tapping as tracer like how you'd spray tap with a vandal haha this was such a fun video to watch :] i also played val before overwatch so it took a while to get used to movement/positioning being the top priority over aim & sound queues i feel like there's a lot of similar characters sova (val) & hanzo (ow) both have enemy-scanning arrows + similar ults widowmaker's weapon (ow) & the operator (val) are both snipers sage (val) and mercy (ow) both have resurrection abilities kj (val) and torbjorn (ow) both have turrets a lot of these are just bc theyre both character-based games :3 ! but again i loved ur video , hope u keep making more!!
@@kitastrophe0 I know ow deserves a lot of the hate it gets, but for a person like me who enjoys a variety of games and happens to really love ow so much. It feels nice to see someone having fun with it for once in a while lol.

Watching the zero charge Zarya beam spam just enforces the need for Blizzard to ACTUALLY have tutorials on how each character plays. Some of these characters kits are super complicated for new players. No clue why Zarya is unlocked but Dva is not. I'd say Dva is pretty newbie friendly. You did a decent job for a new player, especially on Kiriko!
Omg, as someone who has been playing the game since the first game, so Overwatch 1, it SO weird to see that you have to unlock the characters to play them! I feel bad for you, omg. In OW1, everyone could use all heroes right away lmao-
this was so funny to watch. i can't wait until you get the hang of it and start leveling up your game play (and needing to pay attention to footsteps!). i think you should definitely try all the heroes, because knowing what the other hero is capable of is really helpful :) also, please hit F1. i hope you keep having fun!
I absolutely loved this 😭 watching first time players encounter the CHAOS of overwatch especially a Valorant player is SO FUNNY. It’s so fast paced and team oriented so it’s really fun to see I hope you continue playing and have fun despite the toxic people 💀
That was the funniest ow video to watch since Ow2 lunched , I really enjoyed seeing how a real new player actually plays the game, please I just subscribed I need more ow videos from you 😭🖤✨️
It definitely helps when you already have friends who know how the game works and you hop into quick play with them and can just ask them questions quickly
Hello, at 5:32 i can assure you voice chat is really needed in overwatch competitive, it's all about team decisions, so you gotta be coordinated with your teamates
>looks up and shoots at Pharah Well, you're already better than most players in this game. Jokes aside, you did really well for your first time. Overwatch is a very complex game that takes hundreds of hours to comprehend. Take your time and don't feel pressured to perform perfectly. As for the different roles: The job of the Tank is to initiate fights as well as take and control space. A big difference from Valorant is that they do this with their bodies and positioning instead of for example smokes. The job of the Damage is to frag. That's it. The job of the Support is to not die. After you've made sure that you are not dead, try to make teammates not die as well.
PLEASE GIVE ME MORE OF THIS. 10/10 recommend watching OW streamers like karq or flats, they have a lot of videos where they review other players games and give tips and just in general informative videos for the game
this is actually so funny to see. Because I've been playing overwatch for 6 years now and I'm between "oh interesting" and "hoW dOEs ShE NoT KnOw tHaT?!". Loved the video♥

True bruh
Me and you both.... No other game scratches this itch quite like this.
Sigma!). Try not to 1V1 them unless they’re extremely low
- Overwatch heroes cannot run, but they have movement abilities. (Ex. Soldiers sprint) These make getting across the map much easier!
- As a support, prioritize your tank and critical team mates. If you didn’t previously see, they’ll be yellow with a CRITICAL label on them.
- Listening is extremely important in Overwatch, i’m not sure if it is as much in Valorant but Ultimates have certain voicelines that you need to listen out for (as well as enemy steps which will always be louder than your own) 10:03 is an example of an Ultimates voiceline
- Know your difference between Projectile and Hitscan heroes. Projectiles take time to travel, while Hitscan immediately hits. (Ex. Kiriko’s knives take time to travel but Soldier’s bullets hit instantly)
- Overwatch does have voice chat, you mentioned wanting to talk earlier and it’s in your sound settings!
- Support or DPS are definitely an easier starter role, as they don’t bear the responsibility of leading the team- But be warned, Overwatch can be a toxic environment and you will often encounter toxic people

1)You can tell when someone is about to ult, counter ult, block or cancel their ult.
LMAO thanks😭
@@kitastrophe0 Also yea, you were playing two game modes in one with the King's Row map. Some maps are hybrid mode maps, where you defend a point or stop a payload if the enemy manages to capture the point.
Sound cue, not queue. A queue is a line-up. Cue is signal.
@@Un1234l Silly me, thanks.

Goodluck.

"what do you even comm it's so chaotic?"
*the voice comms:* ana ana ana ana, soldier soldier soldier 1
80% of it is fr just: „ana low ana one“ 😭
just a tip since you mentioned at the beginning voice comms dont seem important. voice comms are super needed in games if you want to boost your winrate. important comms involve telling people what cooldowns have been used and the enemy cant use at the moment. for example, kiri's suzu is often called out or her tp which is usually "kiri no tp or suzu". it applies to most characters in the game. there's ult tracking which is gauging who might or might not have ult and comming that so you can play more defensively or offensively depending on what ults you have and what they may or may not have. also if an enemy is low you normally go "heronamehere one" in case someone else can secure the kill for you when you cant. there's other stuff too but those are the most useful ones. the game is A LOT at first but once you learn it and play it, it doesnt seem nearly as chaotic most matches (notice i clarify "most" bc there are some games where i genuinely stare at my screen baffled)
thanks man! :D
As someone who has played this game way too much, its always such a joy seeing new people try this game and go through all the chaos and try to figure out what's happening.

What the voiceline is can be very specific to the damage (especially for things like getting zapped by Winston’s tesla cannon, which causes them to make a noise like they’re being electrocuted) or it can be a more general callout. either way, it’s really good to keep an ear out for it - it can let you know when a support needs healing, is getting jumped and needs backup, etc. often, it’s just a quick “oof” type noise, just to let you know they’re taking damage.
that explains some things, thank you so much! :D
the current overwatch 2 requires a large knowledgebase of hero names, their skills, and what dialogue they shout when using abilitys and especially ults. The more you build this knowledgebase, the easier and more fun matches become and you won't be so confused. It's really a great chill game if you dont take it too seriously

Each Hero in Overwatch has a unique kit, so it's important to read the hero details to know what they do. For example, Mercy is one of the very few heros that can switch weapon (mouse scroll wheel on pc). She has a small gun as a secondary weapon, and her staff is able to heal/ damage amplify allies
Hero Suggestions
--------------------------------
Support:
Mercy (noob friendly):
Mercy is both very mobile which you seem to like, and low agency which can help in building map awareness, gamesense and learning the game modes. Her playstyle is to fly between teammates and healing them/ damage amplify them. She is also the only hero with a resurrect ability
Moira (noob friendly):
Moira have a very high survivability, since she can become invisible and invulnerable using her 1st ability. Also, both her healing and her damage are easy to use, so you can have a lot of impact even with not much experience
Lúcio (fun pick):
He can ride walls horizontally, provide healing and speed boost. He can also also push an entire team off the map if you are lucky, using one ability. Gamestyle be like WEEEEEEEEE the entire game
Baptiste (shooter like):
Baptiste is probably the support that resembles a shooter the most. He shoots damage with his gun and launches healing grenages for his team. He also has an immortality ability, preventing allies from reaching 0 hp. Can jump very high after crouching
--------------------------------
Damage:
Junkrat (noob friendly):
Junkrat is an insane criminal who is obssesed with explosions, and his kit is delivers this theme perfectly.
His primary fire is a grenade launcher, with bombes that are able to bounce off walls. Meaning, you can dish out damage even behind covers.
He has a landmine ability which allows him to launch himself or enemies in the air, maki g him very mobile and somewhat unpredictable. He has a passive that leaves a bunch of bombs behind when he dies, providing him value even when he dies
Reaper (noob friendly):
Has a ghost like ability which makes him invulnerable, and and an ability that allows him to teleport in his line of sight. He is a short range fighter with two big fat guns and a lifesteal passive. Great survivability, fun to play. Good vs many of the tanks, and in sneaking into the backlines of the enemy team
Mei (survivability):
Mei has a relatively high base health for the damage role, making her a bit more biffy. It is important, since she comes in clows and sprays you with a cold air or something, slowing you down. Her abilities are placing a huge wall, and to cover herself with ice. When in ice, she is invulnerable, and heals over time. Her ult is an AoE freeze ability
Widowmaker (sniper):
She is THE sniper of Overwatch. If you like this kind of playstyle try her out. Has a hook ability which allows her to launch herself in the air and change locations
Genji and Hanzo (weeb trap):
Two japanese ninja brothers. Genji is a cyborg with shurikens and a huge sword.
Hanzo is an archers.
Both habe dragon themed ultimate.
Can climb walls
Genji can double jump.
Childhood friends of Kiriko
Soldier 76 (shooter like):
Soldier 76, as you saw, is the most shooter-like hero in the game, making him a great intro hero for people who come from other shooter games. Basic and reliable
--------------------------------
Tank:
Is a sense, tanks are the center of the team in overwatch. They don't necessarily do the most, but the team comp in mostly built around them. Tanks require more macro plays than the rest, so they are probably more difficult for beginners than Damage and Support.
If you plan on playing OW, and you don't like tanks, give them a try again after you become more familiar with the game
Reinhardt (noob friendly):
Big german grandpa with big fat shield. Ult is AoE stun in front of him
D.Va (noob friendly):
One of the more mobile heros in Overwatch. Even though she is kind of hard to be good at, she is extremely fun and therefore a good intorduction to tanks in general
Zarya (versatility):
Zarya kit revolves around her defensive ability. If the damage output of the enemies is too high though, they can break her bubbles and make her and her team defenseless, so keep that in mind
Wrecking Ball (mobility):
A hamster inside a wrecking ball. Moves and swings around, smashes to the ground, etc. Playstyle be like VROOOOOMMMM. Probably most mobile hero in the game
THANK U SO MUCH😭 yeah I definitely understand most of them better now so it’s not gonna be as painful haha

Also, Roadhog has the most pristine body known to man, sculpted like a god and I am ashamed to even lay eyes upon his glorious buzzoms.

thank u! :D yeah now that I understand most of it it’s so much fun😭
Damn this is just funny and cute. From a diamond player perspective its cute for me to see someone play overwatch for the fun of it
Tracer in my perspective is the most hard character to play, you have little health (that means you are easily killed, with some shots), and You have to know well the context in order to use your cooldowns, usually you use your cooldowns to scape or in a fight to make your opponent switch line of sight so you hit more than he can focus with his aim and by the way tracer is all about taking a flank all the time, and using health packs to heal yourself
tracer players have the biggest brains, I could never😭
this is just not true ball is the hardest to play
Just remember to have fun!!
thank u! :D
There is no bonus anymore to crits it's just the normal multiplyer
This is the perfect reaction of a new Overwatch player
Id love to see more Overwatch content
I shall deliver🫡
Kit, basically mercy guide as I have like 100 hours on her not that long but yeah yeah
Mercy: The staff that had two toggles you could say yellow is healing and blue is a damage boost.
THANKS FOR THE GUIDE!😭🫶
This was super fun to watch as a long time overwatch player

DPS: If you want something simple then you are fine with Soldier and Sojourn, Ashe is also a good choice that rewards good aim and her kit is pretty straight forward, Torbjorn is like Killjoy but his turret last until is destroyed and doesn't have activation range lol
Tank: This role is difficult to recommend characters honestly, but I guess that characters like Sigma and Ramattra can be easier options in comparison to the rest of the tanks ( Reinhard is also easy cause you only need to swing a big hammer around but he is a close combat heroe so maybe not a good option for the start)
thank you! :D
This was so fun to watch a beginner
@@Apeladooo thank u! :D
this was so funny to watch 😂 i love how all your references were from valo and it just shows how different the 2 games are
i love how youre spray tapping as tracer like how you'd spray tap with a vandal haha this was such a fun video to watch :] i also played val before overwatch so it took a while to get used to movement/positioning being the top priority over aim & sound queues
i feel like there's a lot of similar characters
sova (val) & hanzo (ow) both have enemy-scanning arrows + similar ults
widowmaker's weapon (ow) & the operator (val) are both snipers
sage (val) and mercy (ow) both have resurrection abilities
kj (val) and torbjorn (ow) both have turrets
a lot of these are just bc theyre both character-based games :3 ! but again i loved ur video , hope u keep making more!!
tysm! yeah I show a lot of valorant patterns haha :D trying to spam fire is against my brain wiring😭
This was very refreshing to see lol
WHERE’D THAT COME FROM?? YO WHAT THE HELL THANK YOU SO MUCH😭🫶
@@kitastrophe0 I know ow deserves a lot of the hate it gets, but for a person like me who enjoys a variety of games and happens to really love ow so much. It feels nice to see someone having fun with it for once in a while lol.
@@moose7649 yeah, maybe it’s just because I didn’t know the old OW but I’m having so much fun on the game :D also I need to frame your comment and put it on my wall cause it’s my first ever dono haha😭
@@kitastrophe0It would be an honor lol. I got extremely addicted to the game when I first started and I guess it never went away😂
I think playing tank in general is a horror for newbies😭 and thank u! :))
"Kitastrophe" sounds like what Kiriko's battle tag would be 😂
Omg, as someone who has been playing the game since the first game, so Overwatch 1, it SO weird to see that you have to unlock the characters to play them! I feel bad for you, omg. In OW1, everyone could use all heroes right away lmao-
@@TangleHamain NO WAY, it’s still better than valorants system tho😭
as an overwatch player since 2018, this was so painful i loved it
you‘re welcome😭
this was so funny to watch. i can't wait until you get the hang of it and start leveling up your game play (and needing to pay attention to footsteps!). i think you should definitely try all the heroes, because knowing what the other hero is capable of is really helpful :) also, please hit F1. i hope you keep having fun!
thankfully I finally figured most of it out😭 good idea trying all heroes cause I still don’t know what everyones ult does✋
@@kitastrophe0 there is a customs mode where you can play with infinite abilities and it will help you master most of the heros
love watching ppl's first time on ow, very wholesome watching ppl learn and how they think etc
very fun to watch, i like watching new players learn, KEEP PLAYING I BEG!!!
I WILL MR. MALEWIFE🫡🫡
I absolutely loved this 😭 watching first time players encounter the CHAOS of overwatch especially a Valorant player is SO FUNNY. It’s so fast paced and team oriented so it’s really fun to see I hope you continue playing and have fun despite the toxic people 💀
That was the funniest ow video to watch since Ow2 lunched , I really enjoyed seeing how a real new player actually plays the game, please I just subscribed I need more ow videos from you 😭🖤✨️
@@talashalbak5365 thank u!🥹 I’ll definitely post more Ow it’s so much fun😭
@kitastrophe0 waiting for it ✨️🫂
It definitely helps when you already have friends who know how the game works and you hop into quick play with them and can just ask them questions quickly
Hello, at 5:32 i can assure you voice chat is really needed in overwatch competitive, it's all about team decisions, so you gotta be coordinated with your teamates
sadly low one talks in low elo😔✋
>looks up and shoots at Pharah
Well, you're already better than most players in this game. Jokes aside, you did really well for your first time.
Overwatch is a very complex game that takes hundreds of hours to comprehend. Take your time and don't feel pressured to perform perfectly.
As for the different roles:
The job of the Tank is to initiate fights as well as take and control space. A big difference from Valorant is that they do this with their bodies and positioning instead of for example smokes.
The job of the Damage is to frag. That's it.
The job of the Support is to not die. After you've made sure that you are not dead, try to make teammates not die as well.
5:55 Let me get away! Runs right into the enemy.
I experienced momentary brain cell loss🧍♀️ (quite a few times…)
We need to see more of this!! As an Overwatch player my self for 7 years now I love to see this❤️
protect this girl at all cost for us to keep watching her journey
😭🫶
PLEASE GIVE ME MORE OF THIS. 10/10 recommend watching OW streamers like karq or flats, they have a lot of videos where they review other players games and give tips and just in general informative videos for the game
4:15 that’s so bad for ult charge lol. When u switch hero the ult charge (if it’s above 15%) will get set to 15% no matter what
didn‘t know that at that point lmao😭
this is actually so funny to see. Because I've been playing overwatch for 6 years now and I'm between "oh interesting" and "hoW dOEs ShE NoT KnOw tHaT?!". Loved the video♥
haha thank u!🫶:D
you did really well on kiriko. should play her more
ty! i’ll definitely main her😭
Everytime you clicked for each bullet instead of just holding the trigger down i was like What is she dooiiin ggggggg 😂
the mercy confusion hahaha youre so precious
