Giardini Naxos is where the Greeks first settled in 734 BC on the island of Sicily. Next we go to Roperto who as a child learned to make pizza with his mom. Hi family also served food to the staff and crew when the Godfather movie was filmed. He saw al Pacino and Diane Keaten daily.

Very interesting Eszter. The town looks so nice. I loved the colourful tables and chairs. In fact, the whole restaurant looked so welcoming. The pizza guy spoke very well in English, and he was very accommodating. I do find the Scicilian people to be warm and friendly. Thank you for another brill video. Much love ❤️ 😊

I enjoyed watching today! Such an interesting story he told about his menu's historical significance! The birth story in the fountain square! Wow was that a true story? I'll have to go back and watch again! Have a great week Eszter and Alfred! My Little dog Rico is 9 and I named him Federico Fellini Falbo! The three things that Italy is known for, pasta, pizza, and the Mafia! Lol! And I love food too! "C'era cu c'era" (Sicilian dialect) means there were that such whose were there. I still remind a sort of sicilian poetry who my mother used to tell me, when I asking her who were somewhere "C'era, c'era cu c'era...... c'era na vecchia cca ciculattera...." (.... there was an old women with a chocolate container).

Another great show...Another little tidbit Al.....I saw a posting from a family member who had a friend with an unusual surname...His surname is Dai....i googled it and the results were ( Dai is a last name commonly found in United States among its Chinese community. It is the Mandarin transliteration of a Chinese surname meaning: to put on or wear (glasses, hat, gloves etc), to respect, to bear, to support.)...which tells you some or few Chinese came to Sicily and settled there....
