    Thanks very much for the clear explanation. I hit a small hiccup when dragging the Pixellate onto the viewer, as it would only pixelate the whole frame. I had to drag it onto the timeline clip, then undo it, and then drag it onto the viewer. Only by doing that will it try to find the object and let me tweak the shape and tracking.

    Man, I haven't had to use the new object tracking feature. Thus I forgot about it and was doing it the old fashioned way. Truly amazing that this was a free update given how much one might have to pay for a feature like this beforehand.

    Hey Eric, great video! Question for you. When I add the tracker, it looks good at first, but then once my camera starts to move, the tracker stays in the same position, almost like its stuck to my lens and moves around the object with the camera movement. Not staying on the license plate where it should. I've followed your steps a few times and it still keeps moving with the camera. Any ideas? Thank you!

      Go to "Effects" and then "All Video & Audio" then type "pix" at the bottom right corner, and it should show up. It's a different looking icon now though, but it's there.

      Can do it with keyboard short cuts, Command-Plus Sign (+) or (-), or if you have a MacBook Pro you can do gestures (pinch). "Double-tap (two-finger): Double-tap with two fingers to zoom the timeline so that all the clips fill the visible part of the timeline. Swipe (two-finger): Swipe with two fingers to scroll left, right, up, or down in the timeline."

    • @ET_Videos
      @ET_Videos  2 роки тому

      Yeah, I just got one of those fancy new 16" MBP M1 Max's. I had been on my Mac mini for years waiting and saving for something like this. Though I was hoping for a Super MacMini or something, which would have been easier on the wallet.

      @@ET_Videos ah ok. so what is the M1 all about? how much difference is it than the regular iMac, etc.

    • @ET_Videos
      @ET_Videos  2 роки тому

      @@gordon9177 Well it's the future and it runs circles around the Intel based Mac's. They are much lower energy use, but super fast at rendering and other tasks. If you are an iMac fan, there should be new Apple Silicon based iMacs probably spring give or take. There is a 24" M1 iMac out now which is fine but I'd wait for the next models, if you can. Intel Mac's will probably run most software for the next couple years, but features will start to drop off, like they just started with FCP. I like to run the latest iMovie and FCP, so I couldn't put off the update any longer. If I didn't make tutorials....I might have milked it for another year, give or take.
