We do not have a single position player in the minors close to being a starter on the big club. Why did Moniak start the season on the bench behind Hicks? If you didn't believe in Moniak they should have traded him. Adell has been completely mishandled. Detmers even complained that he was rushed to the majors. Tampa offered the number six prospect in baseball, a stud third baseman for Ohtani-- the Angels said no. If you replace Minasian, who do you replace him with? Who wants this job? No premium GM candidate wants to sit in that seat. What star scouting director would be willing to come over? Trout will come back, hit another 20+ homers and then ask to be traded. How can he stay any longer? Fans need to stay away to send a message.
The Angels are flirting with the worst winning pct at home in the history of MLB. Currently at .240 or just slightly better than the 1939 St Louis Browns' .233. What's up with that? Now that we're past the 1/3rd pole of the season it's getting to be a decent size sample.
Angels need to trade Ward, Anderson, Estevez, and Moore to start a rebuild. Arte's never been good at developing. When he bought the team, we already had Salmon, Anderson, Glaus. Other than Trout, they havent drafted and developed good players in Arte's tenure.
