I used different seasonings but it came out "melt in your mouth tender." My onions didn't cook as well so I had to saute them more after the steaks were done. I used reduced sodium soy sauce, ginger, basil, garlic, minced onion, and brown sugar as a marinade.Thank you for the prep advice. It really helped.

Very good! I like a crust so next time I’m going to try reverse sear. I’ll pressure cook first then sear.

I would use the sous vide function for the steak. Set water temp to 130F then sear it after you pat dry.

Hi, was it soft and tender like you'd get at a steak house Or was it (depending on rating of USDA Meat) kind of chewy ? Thanks

How do you feel about putting veggies on top? Could you cook them the same time as the steaks? Never cooked with my pot. First time tonight with NY strips

John McCaskill you can totally cook with veggies on top. Veggies get steamed sooo quickly

you would be surprised of how much better it would taste if you let it rest for 5 min before cutting into it. It will be more tender and juicy. I like my steak pretty pink so I think I will try this for 3 min pressure. also if you add a little butter and cornstarch to your deglazed sauce on saute function while you are letting the steak rest you can make some nice gravy to pour over the steak.

I like the look; you are so cute. A cup of liquid, steak on a trivet, 5 minutes on high pressure. Answered all of my questions perfectly. Love you : )

Why? Why would you suggest anyone cook a beautiful ribeye in an instant pot? 🤦🏼‍♀️ I love my instant pots and use them all the time, but I'd never use it for a ribeye.

    • @GinaGGilmore

It really keeps it tender, I grew up raising cows for beef and this is a great way to cook them, even better than my grill or cast iron skillet

You obviously don't have kids. Or forgot how hectic it can be with a baby and toddler. Why hate on her video? Why not just move along. If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all.
