Every memorizer of hadith that does not have an Imam in Figh is misguided, and if Allah had not rescued us with Malik and al-Layth (ibn Sa'ad), we would had not been misguided." 2
Ibn al-Qayyim said in Zaad al-Ma’aad (1/195): There is no saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) about wiping the neck at all. End quote.
Sufyan al-Thawri praised Abu Hanifa when he said: "We were in front of Abu Hanifa like small birds in front of the falcon, ," and Sufyan stood up for him when Abu Hanifa visited him after his brother's death, and he said: "This man holds a high rank in knowledge, and if I did not stand up for his science I would stand up for his age, and if not for his age then for his Godwariness (wara'"), and if not for his Godwariness then for his jurisprudence (figh)." Ibn al-Mubarak praised Abu Hanifa and called him a sign of Allah. Both Ibn al-Mubarak and Sufyan al-Thawri said: "Abu Hanifa was in his time the most knowledgeable of all people on earth. Abu Haifa was scrupulously pious and refused Ibn Hubayra's offer of a judgeship even when the latter had him whipped. Like al-Bukhari and al-Shafi" i, he used to make 60 complete recitations (khatma) of Qur'an every Ramadan: one in the day, one in the night, besides his teaching and other duties. Ibrahim ibn Rustum al- Marwazi said: "Four are the Imams that recited the entire Qur'an in a single rak a: 'Uthman ibn 'Affan, Tamim al-Dari, Sa 'id ibn Jubayr, and Abu Hanifa. » Ibn al-Mubarak said: ' "Abu Hanifa for a long time would pray all five prayers with a single ablution."
Ibn Abi Zayd comments: "He (sufyan) means that to her than the jurists might take something in its external meaning when, in fact, it is interpreted in the light of another hadith or some evidence which remains hidden to him; or it may in fact consist in discarded evidence due to some other (abrogating) evidence. Mulla 'Ali Qari commented: "The early scholars said: The Hadith scholar without knowledge of figh is like a seller of drugs who is no physician; he has them but he does not know what to do with them; 'and a Figh scholar without knowledge of hadith is like a physician without drugs': he knows what constitutes a remedy, but does not have it available." 1 The salaf and Khalaf clarified this rule in many famous statements showing that, for all the exalted status of the Muhaddith, yet the Faqih excels him.

I used to be a salafi/dhahiri, now I decided to go back and follow usuls(something which salafis don't have) and stick to a madhab. "Salafiyyah" is a joke.
I find this disgusting anyone who had read any works of the Salaf knows how wrong this sounds. The Salaf were unjust and did not know the correct statements from the incorrect ones (If this is true how are we suppose to trust them in their knowledge of Hadith?); The Modern Salafis recognized the statements about Abu Hanafi which are right and wrong after 1100 years. (fact, I can cite modern Salafis that composed books about this subject that cite the Salaf's words against Abu Hanafi) The Salaf did not know that these statements were incorrect; they judged in ignorance and nonsense, and these statements were mentioned in doctrinal books of the Salaf. What is astonishing is that despite this, consensus is cited after the words of the Salaf, stating only good, beautiful, and praise-worthy things about Abu Hanafi, contrary to what the Salaf said. Glory be to Allah, how can there be consensus after the words of the Salaf, contrary to what they said? The tragedy is that the Salafis say that the Salaf school of thought stabilized and became established in the sixth and seventh centuries. Glory be to Allah, how our later scholars are confused and contradictory in this matter; each of them has interpretations and patchwork flimsy arguments solely to defend Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him. It's just loose talk that the ignorant consider as knowledge; it's just fantasies invented to escape the criticism of Abu Hanifa, and by their doing they have made it necessary for criticizing the Salaf for their ignorance. Believing that they were wrong, unjust, unfair, and unstable until the later scholars came, settled the issue for them, corrected their injustice, and confronted it. All of this is merely for the sake of contemporary taste and defending a specific individual who has followers and a sect." arguments

There's a book written by ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله - *In defence of the Four Imams* . It's available on The Internet Archive
It clarifies why Imam Abu Hanifa and other Imams were mistaken in some issues. All the four imams would never go against the Qur'an and sunnah
Imaam Abu Hanifa (May Allaah have mercy on him) said:
"If I ever say something that contradicts the book of Allaah and the hadith of the Prophet, then leave my statement."

(fact, I can cite modern Salafis that composed books about this subject that cite the Salaf's words against Abu Hanafi)
The Salaf did not know that these statements were incorrect; they judged in ignorance and nonsense, and these statements were mentioned in doctrinal books of the Salaf.
All of this is merely for the sake of contemporary taste and defending a specific individual who has followers and a sect."

Why do you say "may Allah have mercy on him" after knowing the stance of the salaf on him
Shaykh Muqbil رحمه الله had this to say about abu hanifa ua-cam.com/video/5QXSSaHMZAc/v-deo.html

Shaykh Muqbil was wrong. Imam Ibn Taymiyyah was right.
@@redman1300 What did Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله say?
"Listen from me and don't hear about me". If "Abu Taymiyah" implemented this in real life and not just fake talking and acting all knowledgeable, then maybe he would not be a coward foolish hypocrite traitor, standing on the side of the allies of shaytan and dajjal through their arab thaghut puppetregimes against the allies of Allah, the real believers in these end times.
Hanafi Maturidi for life!
Imam Abu Haneefa wasn't maturidi.
@@redman1300 If you study Abu Hanifa(Ra) sayings and what he stood for, and what he spoke of when it came to aqidah, just like Abu Mansur al-Maturidi who was a staunch Hanafi follower, I can guarantee that you will end up what al-Maturidi ended up with, a.k.a Maturidi aqidah. Obviously Abu Hanifa didn't specify his aqidah but it pointed towards what Maturidi ended up with after strenuously just studying him.
@@roadtoperdition3408 Imam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله was asked of his opinion of the one who says ‘I do not know whether Allaah سبحانه وتعالى is above the heavens or on the earth’
Imaam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله replied:
“He has disbelieved, because Allah سبحانه وتعالى says: “The Most Merciful rose above the Throne”, and His Throne is above His seventh heaven.”
He was then asked “What if he said that Allah سبحانه وتعالى is above His Throne but he does not know whether the Throne is in the heavens or on the earth?”
Imam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله said:
“He has disbelieved because he has denied that He سبحانه وتعالى is above the heavens”

@@roadtoperdition3408 Imam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله said:
“Allah has a Hand, a Face and an Essence as He, may He be exalted, mentioned in the Qur’an. Whatever Allah, may He be exalted, has mentioned in the Qur’an of His having a Face, Hand and Essence, these are attributes of His which we affirm without discussing how. It cannot be said that His Hand is His power or blessings, because that is denying the attribute, and is the view of the Qadaris and Mu‘tazilah. Rather His hand is a divine attribute, and we do not discuss how it is; His wrath and His pleasure are divine attributes, and we do not discuss how they are.”
