I think I'm going through the same thing kenzie I told my doctor and he said let me no if you have anymore episodes. . So went back told a new doctor and he said I'm paranoid and I answered with slight anger saying I'm not paranoid it's waking me up ... I take medication for generalised anxiety disorder and only experienced 3 panic attacks during the day. So don't no what's up with me sounds like im having nocturnal panic attacks and doctor thinks I'm losing my mind lol hope you your alright hang in there :)

@@darrendoolan5161 Darren you’re not crazy ,, I will pray for you because I don’t believe that this can be changed unless God intervenes and tells us why this is being allowed. A lot of Americans are struggling with this anxiety/depression and panic attacks and I believe it’s not just that. I do believe it’s spiritual as well. I pray for healing for your soul and repentance for you as well. Both you and I that we may be restored and not have to go through this affliction anymore. It is not a merry go round at all. You’re having 3 a day? That is torment :(

Hello there! To the one reading this, a blessed day. I just want to share the good news of salvation.
Even if You feel that You are alone and no one cares for you, Someone cares and loves You unconditionally. His name is the LORD GOD who created you and me-who knows everything about us, every pain, every failure, every struggle and every hurt in us. He is there and He wants to be a Father to you. However, the reality is that GOD is perfect and He is holy but we are sinners for we sinned against Him and against others. As GOD is a God of justice, He is against sin and so we cannot save ourselves by our own power because of our fallen nature. Nevertheless, as GOD loves us so much and desires to reconcile us to Himself, He descended from Heaven and took the form of man. He is the Lord JESUS who lived His life without sin because He himself is GOD. Him being the perfect sacrificial lamb, He was crucified to take on the punishment that was meant for us sinners. He died for You and me. But death cannot hold the Lord JESUS because He doesn't deserve death for He did not sin and so now reigns in heaven. By accepting the Lord JESUS as your personal Lord and Savior, you receive His sacrifice and so your sins will be forgiven by the LORD. The Lord JESUS loves you and if You come to Him regardless of Your past, He can renew you. He is able to wash our sins clean by His precious blood. You can come to Him.
For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
      John 3:16
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord JESUS and believe in your heart that GOD has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
      Romans‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭

I had panic attacks for 11 years and finally I got medicated, by a Psychiatrist (sertraline) the attacks did not come back for the past 4 years. I just stopped taking the pill gradually since December for some reasons, and now we are in February and I got 3 p.a. In the last week, and now I’m terrified to go to sleep.. exact same symptoms and process as in the video.. I need to start medicine again.. this is just to much.. good luck you all.

I’ve been dealing with these for 16 years unmedicated. I’ve tried to use grounding techniques and breathing when they happen because I know what they are. But lately they are more consistent and harder to break. Anyone having these you are not alone. They are scary and can make you feel like you are on deaths door or going crazy. But I promise they pass. Take the advice drink plenty of water, exercise, and start cutting out unhealthy foods. This was the only thing that helped as a kid. Now that I’m older I wish I never stopped because for a few years I rarely had one.

Thank you because this is me to a T! I’ve been having them since I was about 13ish I’m 23 now, and just this winter has been horrible.. I’ve always done this unmedicated because I have extreme panic when I even smoke or drink and I know medication and me not being fully in control will definitely sky rocket my anxiety, but lately I’ve been depressed, anxious, panicky, derealization and I just feel like I’m going crazy man. But I love my life and I’ve always been able to cope but for some odd reason lately for almost a month it’s been like extra extra bad..

@@CREAM-TEAMhi, I barely started experiencing nocturnal anxiety last week and it was one of the worst feelings in the world, I woke up in a panic with my heart going from 80s bpm to 160 bpm within a few seconds, followed by an anxiety attack, went to the ER and everything was fine. The reason I’m here is because I just had another a few minutes ago and I’m trying to find answers to my symptoms. I can’t imagine what you are going through, but something that has helped me is watching UA-cam videos. There’s one called 20 anxiety symptoms explained. It has helped me through my health anxiety. I hope you can find the right help for you, and remember that your anxiety is your body trying to protect you.

@@EliBenett thanks man, I do the same things I’ve been having anxiety and panic attacks since I was younger and I’ve learned to cope well but this year it seems like me and a lot of others are experiencing the same things. I just remember that every year around this time the seasonal depression or whatever it’s called kicks in a bit hard. My panic attacks are horrid and come out of nowhere usually at night and will literally give me derealization feeling overwhelmed and also just horrible panicky feeling they come about once a month and I just let it peak out and try to hide it from people lol, it’s embarrassing for me but I learn how to cope better through every one of them. Remember it gets better man hope all is well

Thanks, I’m doing well. Just trying different things to help me overcome my fears. Anxiety does seem to be worse at night, but I have been working on my breathing technique. a paramedic showed how to breath better when I’m having a panic attack he taught me to breath in slowly for 2 seconds hold my breath for 2 seconds and breath out slowly and it has helped, I don’t get lightheaded anymore. I also write down my worries before going to bed. Reminding myself to take it one day at a time.

The feelings and symptoms you describe in your videos are a perfect description of what I’ve experienced my entire life. But the nocturnal panic attacks you describe in this video are the most common for me. In fact, it’s the reason that I’m awake right now at 1:50am. My anxiety is at its worst at night and what usually happens is that I wake up shortly after I first fall asleep, feeling like my heart is about to stop…and then it starts racing and eventually goes back to normal. And at this point, I’m afraid to go back to sleep because I’m worried it’s going to happen again. It’s a vicious cycle and it’s really hard to break this last couple of months. But reading a lot of the comments on your videos gives me hope…and it makes me feel like I’m not alone.

For the past 4 days I’ve been having nocturnal panic attacks. Only the first one really caught me off guard really bad that I called 911 thinking it was something more serious. After watching videos and realizing all the facts, and that I’m not alone going thru this; now I know how to cope with the episodes. And it’s weird because I wake up with an unusual feeling that I can’t control then it starts. I just label them as it’s the body’s way of burning adrenaline nothing else and try to smell pleasant things and it passes faster and reduces its longevity. It’s also important to try to manage your anxiety solely and without medicine cause most medications make you become dependent. Stretching, Deep breathing and aroma therapy helps a lot . May God bless everyone, and I hope my story helps someone going thru times like this.

    • @EliBenett
      @EliBenett 9 місяців тому +1

I had a nocturnal panic attack for the first time a few days ago. It was horrible, I thought I was having a heart attack so I called 911 went to the ER. After an ekg the doctor told me the reason my heart started racing was because I was falling asleep in a relaxed state, I got scared and the body must have released cortisol and that’s what caused my symptoms. I had other test done and everything was fine. But I just had another panic attack a few minutes ago and now I’m scared this is going to be a thing for me now. I’ve been dealing with anxiety for 5 years now with breaks in between and they just seem to evolve into different symptoms. I hope you find the help you need to help you with your anxiety. UA-cam videos have helped me but also telling myself that my anxiety is only trying to protect me also helps me.

I get all these steps nightly except at the end after hyperventilating I am not able to go back to sleep again despite being exhausted.Any tips that worked for you/helped during this whole process?

What helps me is getting into the most comfortable position as possible, for me it’s on my back with the pillow at an angle similar to a hospital bed angle, then I tell myself’ “maybe I am dying, maybe this is it but if it is I want to die peacefully without fear” I say that to myself almost every night. Also I don’t worry about having a light on, it helps me calm down when I wake up in a panic attack and sometimes I fall asleep with it on. But after I say that to myself, I notice my breathing slows down dramatically and my head hurts less and I’m able to feel comfortable enough to fall asleep. Try saying that to yourself and see if it helps, if that doesn’t work, try saying something else that will calm yourself down. I’ve been struggling with this my whole life and just in the past year I found that trick so be patient and remember that you’re not dying even though you think and feel like you are. I hope you have a great nights rest

Or put your feet up on something and you'll get tired pretty fast and it'll relax you're whole body , I was scared to go to sleep yesterday 😢 I did exactly that.

43 years old. And 3 months ago this started happening to me at least 2 or 3 nights a week. I honestly thought I was going insane. I'm a grown man who's scared to go to sleep. I've been to my general doctor. Meds don't help. Finally going to see a therapist. Only thing I found that kinda helps is zzzquil or nyquil.

I suffer from ocd and panic attacks and lately I don't sleep much because when I lie in my bed and try to fall asleep I get stressed and have a panic attack. I don't know why. I stay up all night watching TV because I tell myself there's no point in giving myself a panic attack by trying to fall asleep if I don't have to... Sometimes I sleep all morning instead of sleeping at night. Sometimes I fall asleep in class after not sleeping all night. My parents are not happy about it at all, but I don't think they understand. I tell my friends that I don't sleep as a joke but it's not really funny... Has anyone here experienced the same thing? do you have any advice?😢

I’m just starting to get these due to a pinched nerve and it’s horrible , my chest hurts , I can feel the pounding in my entire body , I feel like my chest is caving in and I try to deep breathe to calm down . I’m thinking I need a new routine to stop these , but I have to stop my pinched nerve in my shoulder first . The pain has kept waking me up the last 3 weeks . I got lucky and only woke up twice last night , tonight I have yet to fully fall asleep , just woke up to my heart pounding and feeling it in my back too

I always feel hungry and like I have low blood sugar before these, too. And also wonder if there's a digestive connection. I just don't know why I'm getting so many more than ever 😩

Mine becomes so bad I cannot even get into my bed. I tell myself I will not jump out of bed and I cannot stop myself. I can’t be in the bed for longer than 20 seconds. Sometimes it’s literally like I’m gonna drowned if I stay in the bed, it’s feels like what it must feel like to be out in the middle of the ocean, treading water, waiting to drown. I feel like if I fall asleep, I will drowned and die

My husband's panic attacks comes at night with suddenly shouting loudly and jumping out of bed up and down at night these used to not scare me but now we are a little older and he have them even more frequently now it scares me that my heart just stops and starts racing until my mind comes back knowing what has happened. I also suffer from anxiety attack which is more long term and slow which is not as bad as his. But I do get worried I might have an actual heart attack one day.
