I think the pipe organ is the most beautiful, thrilling, grand and powerful instrument ever devised by human genius. Thanks for letting us hear some of the incredible voices of this stunning instrument.
Lovely finger action; I wish mine were as flexible - I might then have become a better organist than I ended up being!! Very much enjoyed the video. Thanks to you and the youngster who did the filming.
I'm so happy and proud to say that Ely is my Diocesan Cathedral, I have had the privilege to play the Cathedral Organ, simply a wonderful instrument, in fact probably the best of many organs I've played.
Before we go down the route of extreme criticism a word of explanation: these videos were all made for amusement really, this one has caught the public eye. The 'camera man' is a chorister of twelve who very kindly filmed on his phone Cathedral after Cathedral.
I am a Church Chorister who sang there on 3 separate occasions with 2 Anglican choirs and 1 Catholic choir. I remember a certain preset named the "Foggy Buster". It was named this because of its gravitas which caused the older congregation members to be blasted from their pews. Is this preset still on the organ? Nice demonstration by the way. It brings back many good memories!🎶
stylusfantasticus I don't know if anybody would prosecute the 12 yr. old choir boy who did the camera work. If you had taken the time to read the commentary you would have known that.
Tat cameraman is too anxious to see too much in a short period; and like dragging one around by their nose, bummer!! he should have to watch it him-herself over and over.

That was a masterful demonstration of this wonderful but seriously underrated instrument. Thank you very much!
Wow... beautiful organ and I'm amazed at the quality of sound recorded on a phone!!!

This is fascinating. Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful sounds! Thank you for the demonstration. If you haven't, hope you give us some full pieces in future UA-cams. Great musical playing!
Kent St there are plenty of full pieces on my channel .
RIP Nicholas Johnson
Is he deceased? Bless him, he was very talented.

Thank you for the demonstration.
A pleasure. Hopefully there will be more in the future.
Have you played St. Albans Cathedral organ recently?
The Howells is the opening of his Evening canticles 'Col Reg' written in 1945 for King's College Cambridge. The Magnificat.
I enjoyed your demonstration.
Thanks. It was just for fun!!
You're clearly very talented - would love to hear you play some of these pieces all the way through. Thanks for the demo.
Jonathan Field that is very kind of you.
There are a number of recordings of pieces played complete on my channel. Thank you for asking.
I love the Magnificat in G!
I love ely...
All in a days fun, thanks:)
JohnBoyDeere Indeed!
WOW, wonderful organ...but who was the person breathing so heavily?
Thomas Redman The camera man. Thirteen year old very keen on organs!
Wonderful! Although I think the Unda Maris didn't come across at all - no undulation detectable
Very nice, good demo. Are you a professional organist?
+Stephen Jarrett Thank you Stephen Jarrett. Not a professional organist really, but I make my living through music.
Which piece by Howells is being played?
Is it the recording or is the registration all on the bright side?
1401JSC It didn't seem that bright, but at the time I regularly played a bright organ.
Very good playing #organoplenum
I thought the recent revisions had toned down the 1975 classic mixtures....guess not...
Excellent with an exception: camera man should be prosecuted.-

Is Arthur Wills still living? I 've contacted him several times via email and no response. Most appreciative of your information. Blessings.
He died in Oct 2020.
Great organ - great organist - great demo... Camera work could use a bit of work (and maybe some decongestant for the cameraperson)!
thanks a lot, very interesting and colorful! For theose interested in the stop list, www.npor.org.uk/NPORView.html?RI=A00959
