Anyone who common sense would agree tbh. Obi Wan not knowing what happens to Anakin is the dumbest thing ever since ain’t no way 10 years he didn’t hear a single word about Vader. Yet people wanna say this show is good and the best thing to ever happen since the OT. Well gtfo
It’s way better than some female Inquisitor who isn’t even on anyone’s side telling him herself. Obi-Wan should’ve found out on Tatooine on his own. And this book nailed it perfectly.
Okay look, I actually like Kenobi, though I do like the way Obi-wan finds out here better, but why are you putting emphasis on "female" like seriously, I think just saying "some inquisitor who isn't on anyone's side" would've gotten the point across just fine. It could've been the grand inquisitor who told Obi-wan instead in kenobi and it still wouldn't be as good as this.
@@jakeproven256 I’m not saying that as a way like I’m hating on female characters. I love Padme, Leia, Mara Jade, and even Ahsoka Tano. Kenobi had good potential but it’s obsession with Reva got way outta control. I’m not judging her because of her skin color, it’s just the character in general, that’s all.
@@TheAncientSith Alright, I understand, I just got paranoid because there are Star Wars fans who are legitemetly sexist. Now, I've said before that I'm not a fan of the seaquel trilogy, however I do know that there are people who hate them who are sexist. For example, I saw a rant of Last Jedi that so obsurd and overbloated, and it went beyond disliking rey, he was getting extremley sexist. Again, don't like the movie, but that rant review was out of line. My only advice is just be careful.
For anyone who misses Legends like I do, think of it like this: We are the Jedi who are hiding during the reign of the Empire. The old ways survive through us. The Expanded Universe survives by holding onto it. It was always a niche thing, and it's a niche thing even more now.
Obi Wan finally realized that the Republic wasn’t worth fighting for, it was too corrupt and too dysfunctional. The Republic was collapsing under it’s own weight even before Palpatine came to power. And the Jedi foolishly chose to follow the will of a corrupt senate instead of the will of the force like Qui Gon did.
The republic in Star Wars is just like the republic in real life, "corrupt, dysfunctional, and not worth fighting for." All of that sums up the republican party, and republicans in general. Star wars dose a really good at emulating real life, even with a sci-fi setting.
@@jakeproven256Republic means an elective representative type of government. It has nothing to do with. Current political parties in a single country. The U.S. is a Republic. So is France, Germany, and most countries in the world
Parties have nothing to do with it. Every party will eventually become corrupt, if it remains in power long enough. That's because politics, alongside business, breed corruption, by way of the very nature of the enterprise, controlling the lives of other people.
I found it quite dumb for some angry, angst teenager to be the one to tell Obi-Wan that Anakin is alive. This scene, written by James Luceno, is a million times better.
Idc what Disney says, but the EU is canon, not anything else, including the Kenobi show and the other live actions abominations created by Disney with the exception of The Mandalorian and Andor.
I actually read this book a week ago, and how the actual f*ck did Disney f*ck it up that badly? People wrote the stories for them, and all they had to copy them but changed a few things.
I don't care what anyone says, but this is the REAL and CANON way how Obi-Wan finds out that Anakin survived.
facts
Completely agree! Plus Obi-Wan is already communing than Qui-Gon. As Yoda said he would lol.
Better than the Kenobi show explanation
I highly agree with you, no disagreements

Luke is still an infant in this book. In Kenobi, Luke is 10 ! FUCKING 10 !

Awesome narration. This scene is miles better than the whole Disney+ show.
There should be a fan base that takes over Star Wars and reforms it.
