We get so many compliments on showing how to unclip connectors, and now I see what they see. It is SO HELPFUL when you showed how they actually come loose! That did come out a lot easier than the first time. Still can't believe that car only has 67,000 miles!
Actually Timmy, it is 67,000 kms or aprox 41,600 miles! I have not drove it far yet. So far it was a good buy since it replaces the 96 Buick I had with 109,000 miles. (Low also but rusting)
Good one! I removed an after market Pioneer stereo from my 2008 Dakota, which had the same radio from the factory...same procedure as you show. Initially I was puzzled by all the sockets on the back, but eventually figured out you only use the ones you have plugs for. The ones you don't use (like yours) are for controls on the rear of the steering wheel, etc......the fancy stuff.
Thanks for this video. My CD player won't accept CDs nor will my radio pick up any stations so I'll remove the radio/CD and hope I find out what's wrong.
These radios have some circuit board issues. Lots of these radios stop working one feature at a time. It might be better to just by a aftermarket deck with all the features you would like. But if you find a fix, let us know! Thanks, Jack.
@@unclemarksdiyauto I have a 2012 chrysler and plan on installing an aftermarket radio.. Do i need a pin code for anything? If so, how do i find/get one?
Hey, I want to change the radio in my car with a Bluetooth radio. any recommendations on what radio I can buy? I have a Chrysler 200 serbing year 2011. What are the radio measurements
I just use a blue tooth adapter plugged into the cigarette lighter set the fm station to its frequency and what do you know.. My android.. phone calls and music through my car stereo speakers.. That's if you don't want hassle replacing your radio

Thanks Geo. This car and our Grand Caravan has the steering wheel controls (which I never use).

starting in 2012 and newer all radios have a pin code needed to work.
Thanks Tom, I figured this probably is getting close to needing a pin code. I will make a mental note of that!

@@AlureTM The factory radios need a pin code. The instructions from your aftermarket should explain how to hook up you new radio.
Easy peace
Hope it helps!
Do I need a wire harness?
Wiring harness to do what?
@@unclemarksdiyauto to connect my new radio? LoL that might've been a silly question🤦🏾♂️
@@virgounapologetic Is it the same radio, or are you upgrading to something completely different?
@@unclemarksdiyauto I'm looking to upgrade to something else.
@@virgounapologetic Yep. I am sure you will need to get some type of harness adaptor.

I don't have the measurements. Not sure what you could replace it with Antonio. Hope you figure it out!
