    I’ve just been riding the main China Camp trails this whole time without knowing these trails existed. Trailforks has a couple of the backside trails, but I didn’t know there was a whole system until I switched the Trailforks map setting to “road”. For some reason, that map setting shows all the backside trails and their names. Try it

      This trick isn't working for me. You mean under filters, change bike style to "road"?

    first trail you were on while talking is quercus, the one after the trail you call skinny death, is muffins (w the two jumps) then it continued onto "crosshairs". sweet riding, conditions looked nice

    Great riding! You made it look pretty easy. Lol. Gets chunky and skinny in there, and I've had my share of those pedal strikes you mention.

    You hit the bottom of cavity like a champ. I struggle with the bottom 30 yards of that trail. I think it the tree exposure that gets to me.

      I’ll be there too! Going to take the wife out. We won’t be riding any of these trails though, 🤣. China has the good dirt, its rideable even if it is raining and it doesn’t stick to the tires like the East bay clay.

      @@kencycles3655 good to know. I have been steadily improving a bit but took a turn for the worse after an injury(couldn't ride for a few months) so slowly rebuilding that confidence and endurance(I rode the 3 bridges (bay, rsf, and gg) on my road bike last week for example simply for endurance purposes. Did Auburn day before yesterday, camp tam the day before that. Sometimes trails that aren't too gnar will help with things. At least I am out there trying. All about the confidence and ability to jump and choose line wisely. You give me some hope. Although I still am riding my hard tail, there are tons of trails I can face to try to get to where I was at before. I'm on the market for full suspension as well, as I believe it will give me a better way to face some of the more technical stuff (been on hard tail since the beginning) that I have seen you face in some of the other vids and this one too. Practice makes perfect, Thanks for the inspiration.

      @@IsaacGonzalez-et2bq good to hear you're back on the saddle and it sounds like you're getting some good miles in! Take your time building confidence, it will come back. Enjoy the small victories as you go along. And yes, the full suspension bikes help a lot and is easier on your body.

    • @kencycles3655

      There is no way I could direct you to these trails through a message. I did them in the order of the video, the DH segments are Muffin/x-hairs, cavity, Hitler, JT Howell, Tower. The issue is that there are a lot of other trails in between to get to each one. I suggest just trying to find a few through map research and giving it a go, or team up with someone who knows where they are. I usually start by Dominican University and pedal up gold hill grade.

      I've been hiking up on San Pedro Ridge and recording my paths on OnxHunt but thinking of using either TrailForks or Strava to find new trails. Got an opinion as to which app out there has the best data based for Marin hiking/biking trails? Thanks!

    • @kencycles3655
      @kencycles3655  4 роки тому

      Jack Irving give maps.me a shot. Surprisingly, it has way more trails listed than Trailforks. It’s not even advertised as a biking/hiking app but I found it to be one of the best.

  • @geraldh.6686
    @geraldh.6686 4 місяці тому

    Those trails aren’t technically legal but some of the best riding in marin.
    I’ve always heard it’s called hitlers because some anti biker put up fish line with hooks across part of the trail.
    I live it out there because I can take my dog with me. Basically no rules out there
