Thanks, I appreciate the kind words my man. China Camp is excellent for beginners! Once you start exploring more of the back side, it's gonna open up a whole world to you. The more you ride at China Camp the better you'll get, cheers!
Jake, terrific videos and your descending skills and courage are amazing. I grew up in the San Rafael Dominican neighborhood, started riding up gold hill grade on my ‘86 Fisher Montare w my knucklehead HS buddies in timed competitions (15 min not bad back then, from top of Locust to the lung gasper pavement near tower). Over the years it’s been cool learning that’s not the only way up. :)….it’s the coolest seeing you ride down the shit I can only hike. Thanks for the quality content.
Thanks Tony! China Camp is a special place. It’s been there for generations of mountain bikers now, who all have there own unique stories to tell! Cheers man 😎
Wait, you go uphill too?!!! Do some videos about the kind of whip you're riding. I'd like to see the setup. Shocks, bars, tires. Thanks for the upload. Good stuff!
Beautiful ride through China Camp and show what it has to offer. Will definitely have to check it out. Did you ride during the weekday? Didn't see many people out.
So are you supposed to park on knight drive and drive up? Kinda confusing where to start and then where the trails are since there's no reference point
wtf why are so few of these trails seemingly on the official state park brochure map, MTB Project, or Trail Forks. Is there a better map somewhere? Am I just unable to read properly?
Ha! They're technically considered secret trails, that's why they won't show up on any maps. Although most of these trails are not so secret.. China Camp has an excellent network of trails, especially on the backside! DM me and I can show you a map if you'd like
I love the backside because 99.9% of the people are cool back there since it’s technically “illegal” and we’re all breaking the law, I ride with my off leash dog up there all the time. I call that trail Q2 as well
Great video! (I like the historical discussion combined w/single track)
Thanks! This was my first ever UA-cam video, I wasn’t really sure what i was doing. Glad you enjoyed it though!
Beginner rider, It’s good to see the back side. I usually ride the front side plus hitler and jt howell. Good riding, your a beast.

I can’t believe you climbed back ranch. That’s one of my favorite downhills because I’ve never seen anyone climbing it.
The downhill is probably a bit more fun.

Lot's of uphill, I just don't usually film it. I'm gonna have a bunch of videos coming out like that soon! Take the hint!

Thanks again, Ramon! Yeah, It was definitely a weekday (the best time to go) I highly recommend China Camp, it's where I started Mountain Biking!
Nicely done on the last climb section of JT Howell. The go pro doesn’t capture how tight and steep the root/tree sections are.
Thanks Michael! Probably one of the hardest sections in all of China Camp to send.
Nice
Thank you 👍
So are you supposed to park on knight drive and drive up? Kinda confusing where to start and then where the trails are since there's no reference point
Yep, literally park on Knight Drive right near the trailhead. You start on Knight drive trail for a second then hook onto Bayview. Hope that helps

Some more history- don’t forget about that girl that killed her parents and tried to burn the bodies in one of those fire pits
😳Oh damn, didn’t hear about that.

Yep, China Camp is awesome
