      Thank you man I appreciate the support! I plan to make a lot more videos in the future breaking down my tips but briefly I’d say with any company it’s super important to get to know the top producers in your brokerage and offer them your assistance. Show some houses for them. Hold their open houses. Get by their side so you can learn and potentially earn their trust in sharing some business with you. That’s the best place to start really with no out of pocket cost. Just your time.

    You keep referring to your self as a broker. Is it different in Oregon? Or do you mean agent? Loved the video brother man!

    I just subscribed. Love the content you're providing. I've got this big interest in becoming a real estate broker. How did you start?

      I appreciate that a lot! I started by purchasing a fixer upper that I worked on for 6 months and sold for a big profit. Fell in love with real estate and a couple years later got my brokers license in Oregon. Now I'm a relator and investor and I literally could not ask for a better career!

    So you have your broker license? Or a real estate license?

    • @CadenLeno
      @CadenLeno  2 роки тому +5

      It’s essentially the same thing just a different word use. As a licensee we are real estate brokers but when you join a national realtors association which is required to practice selling real estate you become a realtor technically. So you’re a realtor/ broker in whatever state you become licensed with and once you join a realtor association. Hope that makes sense.

    How do you know what brokerage is best? Are you doing a lot of interviews with each one or you calling them directly? Because a lot of them don’t publicize their commission splits or transaction fees.

    • @CadenLeno
      @CadenLeno  Рік тому +2

      I knew when I got licensed that Homesmart was a good option for me because I had worked with an agent from there previously. I love the 100% commission split. I would recommend finding a company that shares the same values that you do whether that’s the commission split or hustle you’re wanting to put in. You should definitely set up interviews with a few different brokerages to see what you like best!

      Im currently taking the course to get my real estate license and I’m also very interested in to house flipping and home renovations, but have no experience, so I was thinking of working for a general contractor to get some hands on experience. When you first became an agent, were you still doing construction? If so how did you balance between the two?

      @CadenLeno Yeah that's what I did I called 3-4 brokerages and most never answered I'm in Indiana but I shadowed an agent from KW realty. Once licensed I'm going in

    so youre able to keep 100% bc you are a real estate broker?

    • @CadenLeno
      @CadenLeno  2 роки тому +3

      I'm able to keep 100% because my specific brokerage HomeSmart Realty Group offers 100% commission to the broker. Other real estate brokerages often have a brokerage split of lets say 70/30. Where 70% the agent keeps, and 30% the brokerage keeps. That's why it's important to interview multiple brokerages and find the right fit for you!

      @@CadenLeno hey I had a question about this but how much do you pay them per month in there monthly fee part ? Is it a lot or not much ? And do you get 100% comission from the very first house you sell?

    • @CadenLeno
      @CadenLeno  2 роки тому

      @@lifeofrico at 2:15 I talk about how at HomeSmart your first 5 transactions with the brokerage you pay a 25% split but this is because they assign you a mentor which is another realtor thats been in the business for a long time that guides you through your first 5 deals. Which was worth every penny. After your 5 is done you start receiving 100% and pay a small fee per deal of $500-$750 depending on the size of the sale.

    No disrespect and I’m not taking away anything from your success but if you’re a real estate agent in 2021 and you’re not making six figures salaries with the current housing market of that time in a smoking hot market then what the hell are you doing with yourself?

    • @CadenLeno
      @CadenLeno  10 місяців тому +2

      Real estate is an over saturated profession with 93% of people quitting within the first 5 years because it's so competitive. Real estate agents aren't salaried we're commissioned. Some people live in areas where the average house sells for 200k and their commission after their split and taxes is like $3k. I appreciate the hustle mindset but if you're reading this and you're a new agent not making 6 figures don't think twice about it. It'll come with time.
