    He was one of the most amazing human beings i ever knew. He was a force of nature. To have that much testosterone and still keep his brains sharp and the spirit pure is not seen very often on this planet. Bitter? No. Factual. Clearheaded. Forceful. He was not one to suffer fools gladly. Thats why i kept quiet around him.

    Fortunate to have been able to see him in Portland, OR in a small club. Impressive musician and all-around human.
    Some context: at the time of this GB was suffering from lung cancer - had to evacuate his home due to Hurricane Katrina in late August and most of his possessions were lost in the storm. The move must have been brutal and he passed away very shortly thereafter.
    Great to hear his perspective on society, rap, segregation...

    For a man his age to still harbor bad feelings for a state says alot!! Mississippi hasnt changed much.

    Funny how they cut him getting on the English artists coming to America and making a fortune off Black music.
