Are you as excited about Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom as I am? What do you think we'll be doing as Link on this game?
A lot of Zelda games have a mechanic where you switch between different world states. Like going between two time periods, between four seasons, between 3D and 2D, etc. So this game will probably have a mechanic where you can switch between Zelda and Link, with Zelda in Hyrule and Link wherever he is.
Yeah, that could be how it switches between the two.
This reads more like a translation error to me. The description clearly says at the beginning that players play as Zelda in this game, not "Zelda and Link."
I think the focus sentence here is trying to say "Zelda does not fight in the same way as Link always does. Where Link is a character who fights with a sword and bow, Zelda will instead be summoning creatures and objects to fight."
I don't think so. We can agree to disagree. ESRB only lists things that justify the rating given which lists why there is violence in the game in this case. There's no point bringing Link in with this sentence of "As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies" when the whole sentence about Link wouldn't even need to be there if you didn't play as link. With Nintendo's translations being spot on for decades and them having a Nintendo of America branch, I doubt this is a translation error and it is exactly as states since the ESRB has nothing to do with comparing this game with with other Zelda games.
I kinda hope that Link is only slightly more playable in this game than Peach is in Paper Mario.
Yeah, Zelda is still the main playable character here. And even though we can play as Link, I don't think he'll take the spotlight in this game.
It sounds like we will be playing link and zelda again like we did in spirit tracks. That's amazing its been so long since we played both of these characters again. I'm looking forward to this game alot and getting the hyrule edition switch light. I'm hoping to see more trailers for echoes of wisdom. Now I want to know more about this game and how will switch from zelda to link.

Man, if that was the case it would be similar to older RPGs that I vaguely remember. Where one person dies/is trapped and the plot instantly switches to a new set of characters as a Team B. Team B eventually comes to Team A and can work together. (I believe Luminous Arc is one of those examples as well as one of the Neptunia games. There are a couple even older games but they escape my memory.)
It could be. Or, it could be something different. I really don't know how it will have you switch between the two. But whether the player switching is like old school or not, this game's still going to be amazing!
So the idea of Echoes being a Princess Zelda-only game is no longer the case here. I’m okay with that. I mean for a mainline title to keep Link entirely in the sideline, would’ve just had it as a spinoff. Kinda glad that he remains playable… but much playability do we have with him?
I still want my Zelda-only spinoff. Only the next time Zelda becomes playable, no Ganon, no Link, just neither at all… Just my favorite stomping troll from Smash Ultimate in her magical prime. :)

Yes, the footage is from Link's Awakening, because it's B-roll I threw into the video based on the information I was talking about. But that doesn't mean we won't play as Link.
