Selasie Hessey WOW! Ya got ya first rewind, but the second line sounded like the first line, I aint got punch lines, I got kick lines, N I aint commercial but I got hit lines, I spit deep rhymes, but I got the girls on my side from the first reweind, Ya might see ma face in the magazine, or in a fur coat in face magazine, Coz their spreading the word from the raves that Ive been, And their bringing their purse out to pay for my team, I cudnt give a shit im breaking the scene, making the scene, and then start making the cream, - KANO
dorito567 Agreed to the both of you guys. dorito567 @matthew whitehouse I also take into consideration that he wants to symbolize where his craft originated from.Being so,I wouldn't expect him to break pillars, rather than building more in other regions. #manifest #connect
I think he’s looking at it with a lil hate.America can’t help what it is musically. Its a very big place with a lot of people who are very talented.Dont be bitter towards that because we didn’t ask for that.Hell,It’s slaves families that took what they had and made it something. And he doesn’t have to feel that he’s asking anyone for anything or he doesn’t have to feel like he owes anyone anything.Because really in his need to act like he don’t care and don’t need them he really did to get hisself introduced to the states.Rather he likes it or not that’s the way it is but yes he’s right when he says then we do get to know you for you once we hear your music and see what you can do.I just don’t know why London artist seem to have this tude that they don’t want to need anybody.Everybody needs somebody and once you get exposed of course do you. But,Honestly that’s why they are bitter because they feel like they don’t get the recognition they deserve. They don’t get it because they don’t want to work with anyone. But,That’s one of the reasons American artist blow up around the world because they’re willing to work with others around the world and in America.
Kim Wright bruh that was the most broken n fucking hard to understand comment.. wtf are ur english skills man. is it not ur first language or what like fr half of that i could follow the other half was a mind fuck
n he got that attitude coz it’s the truth g.. some ppl need others to do there own thing and get there shit out there, some don’t. we don’t all need to rely on someone, individuals like skepta don’t need others. the only thing we need are instrumentals and a mic my g, other than that.. don’t need fuck all
Honestly this is the most best interview of skepta i've ever seen in my entire life, The way he was talking about "We already knew that and that so it was easy etc" i feel the same way as he dose, lifes a bliss for me after finding who i was and what i wanted to do. "Not yet reached my goal" But the day will come. But as he was saying, Finding yourself and being who you are is the most powerful thing on this planet, Once you find yourself you will notice a big energy shift in your life where you will find yourself in a little dark place, but ever heard of the "light at the end of the tunnel" its true, Good things come from bad places, Because before being good you need to see evil. True as fuck interview, Sick hat skepta. I'm out peace.
1:20:53 until the end Is one of the most inspiring things Ive ever heard an artist say. If you are an artist or creative or just someone with goals and intentions, that shit should light a fire in your belly. Skepta. Powerful.
Best interview I've watched in a long while, Skepta's really interesting to listen to and good to see the interviewer knew her stuff, looking forward to Konnichiwa.
I can't even express how much the last 7 minutes inspired me, especially seeing how much he's grown over the years. Thank you so much Skepta! hope to meet you one day
The stuff that he says from 1:21 on is soo deep I feel like I should wake up every morning and remind myself of it. Great interview. Nice to c honegrown talent progress to this status. Listening to Skeppy since day - had no idea he was that deep tho.
Sophie Aylward nah coz than we’d have to many skeptas 😂 the way i see it the more headless sheep running around stroking there ego, the more me and skepta look like fucken legends 😂
yeah, the dude who stole a merc, doesn't know how to drive it so reversed it into a guy's car while trying to park it and roamed around with a skaghead white slag. nice.
Watched this for the FOURTH time just now... Watched it recently after it came out, again, again now again So many major keys. Esp for an upcoming Grime Artist such as myself #GreatnessOnly
Trust me difference between Americans and British is important. Americans show appreciation ten fold and British don't show enough. Americans get big and hide there secrets of success in fear they lose from it and British have a need to share everything they know to help others. Big respects to skepta, his music aside he is trying to help/inspire others to believe inthemselfs for it to be easy for us to do better. Because on the grand scale of things where all just trying to be better people
Suttin Lite Nar the Glynn mentioned in NFTR is Glynn Aikins and he's an A&R at Virgin. This person's comment is about Glyn Brown.. a clothing designer (Twitter @ GLYNBRWN)
Big up Septa for not really giving a fuck about Kanye like every other artist, skip is his own man and is one of the few artists that thinks being affiliated with Kanye is not the be all and end all. Also get A$AP Nast on the album pleases
How do they make music I see the lap top the turn table the wires. I've always wanted to know and learn to make tunes in school I liked messing about on the keyboard. And I love word play bars being creative with words and flow.
thats crazy ive been saying for a long time earl is perhaps the greatest lyricists around and for skeppy to want to link up, you just know the end product will be fire
I really understood what Skepta said abt how ppl romanticize a lot of these capital cities. It's like how ppl think, "omg I'm going to move to LA and be vegan, and adopt this whole lifestyle, with the pretty beaches" and shit like that. Then come to realize that, LA has a lot of homeless ppl (besides Skid Row), it's not all glamour (aka it's dirty) and that a lot of these places with cultures are disappearing from gentrification. And London is no different. Love this take.
Did you know that JME is Skepta's brother? Or that Skepta used to love Shabba D?
What was your favorite part of the interview? Let us know!
i actually didnt know they were brothers for a while even though i listened to both of their music

Great interview. Nice to c honegrown talent progress to this status. Listening to Skeppy since day - had no idea he was that deep tho.
This interview has made me look at skepta in a new light because before I wasn't feeling him. Well done lad!
Skepta's inner monologue at 0:40 - "only my mum and dad call me Junior, what makes you so special?"
