Did you see a "beware of snakes" sign? There are many snakes up on the hills. Did a Rainforest Hash 24 KM challenge. Front runner had to skip over King Cobra twice. Being slow. I only saw a harmless brown snake. Extremely fit couple hiking without any water.
Thank you for this comment Sam! We don’t need water for a hike like this, we drink when we are going homeward or when we get home. We didn’t see any signs or snakes just monkeys but we really wanted to see a king cobra.
@@dananna8614 a westerner who came to Penang from Thailand on a visa run did remark, he saw snakes and a King Cobra while he was doing a simple hike. He said he did not encounter snakes in Thailand, though there are quite a lot there, but in Malaysia, it was quite frequent on his hikes There are several documentaries and videos, claiming Malaysia has the highest number of King Cobras. I am not surprised. Fun Fact: A fellow Malaysian from my hometown, while performing in Jakarta, Indonesia died while Kissing a King Cobra on stage. This happened a couple of years ago. BTW, he kept some of his snakes two blocks away from my residence in the top floor of a 3 storey building. The rest of his snakes he kept in his house, 6 km away. He had someone pop in, to feed his snakes while he was away performing.
@@samraj3179 so strange that we never seen a snake, we hiked so many kilometers in jungle and fields. Maybe someday 😀 thanks for sharing this with us ❤️
@@dananna8614 Perhaps because of the heat, climate change. Snakes are cold blooded, they will hide in bushes or near river, cooler places. Even I want to hide in cooler places... 😅
