The fact that you can get these for under $150 or even $100 sometimes is crazy. I mean whats even the point of getting something like a shield? Is android tv really that much more convenient for ppl to warrant spending $200 on a way less powerful device?

Are the i3s better than i5 for emulation of old games sometimes given the higher clock speeds? or is more cores in i5/i7 the better choice? (same generation)
If it’s the same generation then i5’s are better than i3’s. I7’s of the same Gen are another step up from the i5. Speed isn’t necessarily a better thing. Cores and other hardware architecture come into play.
@@HumanoidMachines OK thanks... I wasn't sure how emulators handle multicores. Some of the ones I run like Kega Fusion haven't been updated in years.
did you try any other games for ps2 ? i have the same cpu and on ps2 games ( the more demanding ones like god of war 2 and jack 3, it is unplayable :/ )
I didn’t try those games but they play on the i5-7590T. In the console window (F1), have you been in the pcsx-2-config and set the preset to balanced.
@@HumanoidMachines there is no preset option, that shows balanced ? which one do you mean ?
i think i found it, its all the way at the bottom , a slider that i have to activate first right ?
@@WaschBaer__ that’s the one… you’ll notice a big improvement in performance
@@HumanoidMachines well gow 2 runs smoother now but its still not at 100% speed, in fight scenes it drops to id say 70-80%, ive read that its one of the, if not the hardest game to emulate for ps2 :/ gonna see how other games run
Hi! Which batocera version are u using? Are any if the mini pc using dual Channel? Mine came with 1 dimm 4gb and I added a second one. It improved aprox. 10% CPU and gpu.

Did you try outrun 2 on ps2. Mine runs at about 80% drivers me mad
Outrun 2 is a demanding game and drops frames like crazy even at standard resolution. I found that a i5-8500t is where that game starts to play as it should

is ddr4 ram at 3200 mhz going to work in the system
I think 2666 is fastest for this model
