Of all great ufc fighters thats why khabib's father choose him as a dream fighter to fight with khabib
Many khabib fans also luv and respect him
He's a true martial artist. The ones you watch in movies. The masters who are wise and are philosophical.
He is mostly a full contact fighter not a martial artist. Smh.
@@dvb8637 Literally the first statement on his wikipedia is the fact that he's a martial artist. Five seconds of google would have saved you the stupidity you've just displayed
@@dvb8637 lol a full contract fighter for mixed martial arts
@@dvb8637 stupidest opinion I've ever seen

It's my first time hearing about the fight that you needed to pay thousands of dollars just to fight in the UFC. This guy was a legend for me because he was the first fight I watched in UFC. He is smart on talking to a financial advisor for his first million and he used it for helping his siblings and parents and his own family's dreams and friends. My respect grew with this video.
Its crazy how little they made early on too. And then you've today where people are crying over "only" 500k a fight lol
@@ofrenic francis ngannou, the heavy weight world champion gets 500k a fight for being the CHAMP and defending his title. compare that to how much boxers get. canelo vs plant, plant got 10 million for losing against canelo in 1 fight and not even being a champ! ngannou crying over 500k is definently fine.
@@jaw9095 two different sports. Thats like saying why don't GAA players make as much as Premier league footballers.
@@ofrenic the ufc is a big organization that can pay well. Not saying they should pay 10 mil a fight but definently more than 500k for a world champ in the biggest mma organization in the world. Gaa compared to premier league is a bad comparison and you know it too
First thing he does is pay off his parent’s debt - absolute hero
This mans first priority was his parents, love that, proud to be Canadian
Canada’s cool, except when they let Vince Li murder Tim McClean and get away with it. Other than that, Canada’s pretty chill.
@@nhlombardi6946They did not let him “get away with it.” Vince Li was found to be not criminally responsible due to a severe mental illness. He was forcibly hospitalized so his dangerous psychosis could be treated.

“If you lend money to someone, make sure you can afford to lose it.” Very well said my friend..
One of the best advice I’ve ever heard! I never looked at it that way, although I did think worst case scenario.
Learned that the hard way, haven't lent anyone money for a few years now, won't again unless it's a very small amount.
GSP is a true role model for people to look up to. Humble and down to earth
Don't forget beat people up..
So much respect for this guy, I have no doubt he is as genuine and real as he comes off on camera. We need more role models like GSP
George makes me proud to be a Canadian, he is an amazing diplomat of this sport and represents Canada like no other person I have seen. Congrats George on an awesome career, I hope you start coaching Canada’s future champions!!!
@Moo Meow French probably lots of French ppl in Quebec
@Moo Meow he is French Canadian
GSP is such a likable guy. Smart for hiring a financial advisor and humble af.
Spent his money on his family and improving himself, what a legend.
I watched him beat Matt Hughes in their second fight. 2008 las Vegas in the Mandalay bay even went to GSP'S after party. Met a bunch of fighters including Anderson Silva and the big man himself Dana White. Really proud of this guy.
I cant believe that armbar was 14 years ago already! I think it was Iceman vs Wandy....time flies i am old
I might be thinking of their 3rd fight in 07 oops
"When you start making a lot of money, you get people coming at you and everybody has problems."
FACTS.
Seeing a grown man that would kick your head off of your shoulders, geek out about dinosaur bones like a little kid, is amazing!
You are right. That was amazing 😁
We all have our hobbies lmao
There's three things that turn on my mans, dinosaurs is one of them.
Watch his stint on the Joe Rogan Experience. It's a 20ish minute conversation on how much he loves dinosaurs.
Short of it, he literally said he came out of retirement because he ran out of money because he kept spending it at dig sites across the world.
@@vinceho5757 😂 that's awesome!
Best advice ever: Only lend the amount of money to friends that you can afford to not ever see again.
Don't think that's what he meant but ok

Yes of course, you know how he is private, and what he does in daily life based on a video clip😏
You might need to look up what the word "literally" means.
"If you lend money to someone, make sure you can afford to lose it". Straight truth, if you lend someone you trust money, you better be prepared for never getting it back.
I don‘t quite agree. I would lend a person I truly trust more money I can afford to lose and expect it back. Or I wouldn‘t be able to trust them in the first place. Not a lot of people of the sort tho.
I don‘t think these people where real friends in GSP‘s case.
@@bombaclaat2640 I think the borrower fully intends on paying back. However, sometimes life happens, and you can’t pay your debts. What do you do then? Take your friend who is hurting financially to court? Regardless, just like a bet in Vegas, you should only put out as much money as you’re able to lose, because nobody can predict the future.
I was looking for this comment. That part had me rolling since it’s so true. I’ve lost plenty of money helping friends and family and you then hit a point where you learn not to let anyone else borrow anything. The fee ruin it for the many.
Me watching how he spent his million on great things and helping people, “I am impressed by your performance”
You've always been 1 of my top 5 favs. My favorite thing about GSP is his humbleness & dedication.
Stay well ole son & enjoy your accomplishments. Miss ya. Thanks for the memories

Absolutely smart move. He got his immediate family some reliable, safe and cheap to maintain cars. Something like 50% of professional atheletes are broke after a couple years of leaving the sport.
Smart move. Cars last about 5 years in Canada because of all the salt on the roads during winter and the brutal temperatures. Plus Japanese cars always start in the Winter!

Imagine bullying this guy and then seeing what he grew up into. I'd be making amends so fast your head would spin.
He spoke about this on a JRE podcast. He saw an old bully of his who was down on his luck. Apparently GSP loaned him money and advise and then later the guy called him and said his life was turning around. Amazing story and a testament to his character, makes me proud to be Canadian.
