    That was a great question you asked. I love the step drill but I’ve had a lot of trouble translating it when I’m actually playing. The body trigger will be a huge help

    I've been watching Dr Kwon's work for over a year. I am driving it longer than I ever have and I am shooting the lowest scores in 20 years of playing. I use a forward knee press as my trigger on all shots. This stuff is genuinely golden. I was shooting high 90s last year but this year, I made the decision to commit to Dr Kwon's methods and my best score is +4. I used to be the shortest driver in my group but I now have the distance to go for par 5s in 2. I really wish that I could be in the US to learn from him as I am sure that he would improve my swing so much more. But I am so grateful that I no longer think golf is something that I was never going to be good at.

      me too! Had a best score of +6 and a 375 yards off tee box after watching your and Dr Kwon's videos. I recommend to take in person training session with Dr Kwon since there are a lot of details you can not tell by yourself but Dr Kwon can easily identify.

    There is a teacher from the 1930s or 40s who introduced something similar to Dr. Kwon’s rope trainer. He used a pocketknife attached to the end of a handkerchief. I think his name was Ernie Jones.

    Inaccurate Caption: This is NOT what Dr. Kwon says. It depends on the ability of the student as to which "steps" he uses because it takes too much time away from his session when person isn't coordinating.

    If you are a good salsa, cumbia dancer, you will adapt to DR. Kwon swing method much faster. The steps will be easier to take in my opinion because you have rhythm and know how to move your hips.

    Imho, that E-bell gadget is awful because it doesn't allow the forearms to work to square the clubface. Although I don't blame them for trying, I'm finding that the golf scientists are on a bit of a bandwagon to generate money these days.

    Like your passion for the game! It seems most amateurs need Less body and faster arms and hands so why this approach?

    • @richyclubsport5155
      @richyclubsport5155 Рік тому +1

      Exactly, when my game is off, back to basics, hit balls with feet together, soon gets me back on track, and stops excessive body motion.

    • @guitar1950
      @guitar1950 Рік тому +1

      There has to be a blend of hands and body. Focusing too much on one or the other tends to cause issues for most amateurs. Good body motion is important but using the hands and wrists in conjunction with the body will create better contact and more power. I just started to focus only on applying the center of the club face directly on the back of the ball. Practicing with my highest lofted wedge and taking a shorter back swing is a great way to improve contact, ball compression and a more powerful ball flight.

      @richyclubsport5155 Рік тому

      @@musiccalgary not ludicrous at all, most amateurs use far to much body, I'm 3.8 handicap, approaching 70, and get it out there, still practice with my feet together, old Jim Flick drill, 7 iron 150 carry, 5 175 carry with feet together, 3/4 swing, no strain on body, modern teachers use tour pros as models for swings, most would hurt themselves following these teachers, as I've seen for myself, know personally a few who followed online teaching and ended up with bad backs, necks, each to their own, and the best I've ever seen him hit a ball was with an old school teacher, Mike Malaska

      As I wrote in another video, I've wondered why he never hits balls for a while, too. I've searched for videos of him hitting balls, but nothing. I would think that someone like him should be able to demonstrate what he teaches and that his shots should be excellent, well beyond being able to play. It should also translate to the golf course for him. To me, it even seems like he always folds his arms in the follow-through when he performs his exercises. I find it hard to believe his golf shots are powerful, highly consistent, and fully controlled.
