I have been using the Macreo system for more than 5 years now, and one thing I can assure you of is this: it will ALWAYS let you down here or there. A sensor will stop working at the worse possible moment, forcing you to start playing with things, resetting things, moving hubs, etc, and ultimately “forgetting about” the trouble sensor until you have time to mess with it more.
Today, as we leave our winter home for our summer home, for no reason at all, 2 of the 3 sensors stopped reporting. I managed to get 1 reporting again, leaving us in the dark about 1 freezer. The home we are going to has had 2 out of 3 reporting all season. I have talked to Macreo about it and they don’t have much to say about it. It is a good idea but a terribly flawed system.

Are the square sensor boxes waterproof? I want to use this to monitor hot tub temp so I would mount that on outside of hot tub, which is outside and will be exposed to rain, sun, snow etc. I suppose I could set it inside the skirting
