I first saw it in the early 2000's on TV (Channel 4 I think in the UK) and have it on DVD. One of the things I really liked about it is, no one is an idiot in it. They make decisions based on the information they have. There is no conspiracy or evil organisation behind the scenes. I read the book years prior but the film is what made the lasting impression on me.
Yes, I agree 100%. From the beginning when the two girls go into the house, find the body, immediately leave the house, go to the police station and get a SHOTGUN, this is the kind of thing that real people would do but 99% of the time in films like this, the characters act like complete idiots.
I've often said Koontz > King. Better concepts, generally more intelligent characters, Koontz is simply superior and Phantoms has got to be one of the most underrated films of the 90s.
As you can see by the comments, Phantoms is on Pluto TV for free, so check it out if you haven't seen it, you won't regret it!
Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms!
Phantoms like a mo'focker!
Underrated Horror Film If You Ask Me I Liked It & Have It On DVD.
Agree 100%, I'd put it in the top 20 sci-fi horror films of all time and there's a lot of sci-fi horror films.

It’s on Pluto tv
Good video Mike!
Thanks @Mando-comics, Pluto is a great back up for free films.
Dean Koontz is my favorite author of all time.

@@horrormike No problem 😊 👌 💯 💶 Mike 😎 🆒️
Good when it came out. Never understood the dislike for it.
I don't either. One of the top 5 sci-fi horror flicks of the 90s.
I like this movie 🤷🏽
I like it as well and Ben Affleck was the bomb in it ;)
Why would anyone consider this film a mistake?? One of the scariest films I have ever seen.
Phantoms is a very good film even if Koontz disagrees!
Liev Schreiber's character sudden detour into weird town never made sense to me.
Really? I thought he was always weird in that flick. I had the feeling that he was possessed by the entity from the get-go.
I saw this movie in the theater. I was very disappointed ! I read the book before that and it was excellent!
strange, Koontz wrote the screenplay to Phantoms and said he was pleased with it.
Affleck was the bomb in it.
Heh
