Get a pStyle here: www.thepstyle.com/?aff=51
If you'd like to see this compared to another style and a DEMONSTRATION of how to use both of them, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/ooVBI4aJniU/v-deo.html. Thank you for your support!
I have this exact device and had no idea what all P Style stands for. Makes me love it even more!
I want to add some personal experience. When first getting started with this device, I was so afraid it would overflow! It doesn't! Something about the design let's it flow out as fast as it fills up even though it bottlenecks. The mental block is the hardest part because it feels so unnatural at first. Just relax and let it go! One of the best things I've ever bought!
The mental block STILL gets me sometimes! 🤣 I love the open design of this one. Thank you for sharing your experience, Sharon!
"rinse it out with a little bit of water from my bladder" got me for a sec
😂😂😂 I probably could have worded it better!
A laughed at that too!
hahahahaha man i can't believe that got past me somehow
I got one of those devices when traveling cross country during the pandemic when most public restrooms were closed. It was a game changer. I could finally pee behind a tree without baring all to the world and avoiding risking sensitive areas poison ivy/oak/sumac.
Awesome! Yeah, these plus a Kula Cloth would have been great pandemic tools!!
@@WanderingSwitchback I will never go back to squatting!
Thank you SO MUCH for talking about topics that no one else seems to want to, particularly when it comes to what females need. Most channels would rather talk about the "cool" new gear like knives and the best micro flashlight, but how to deal with much more pressing issues are what needs more coverage!
It's my pleasure! There's certainly a time and place for that stuff, but this is the stuff that can be hard to ask a buddy about!
Hey hun have u ever used a cup ever
Hey there I didn't mean to offend anyone sorry if I did my apologies
This video was EXTREMELY helpful!!! Thank you SO much for doing this!!!!
I’m so glad it was helpful!!
I’ve heard about these forever. Your info convinced me to get one. Thanks.
Awesome! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! I use it SO much!!
Gatorade bottle LOL!! Your facial expressions had me LoL! Well done video on a sensitive subject. I was on the fence about getting a personal device but I'll be using your affiliate link after watching this video. Your explanation of the features and what they stand for sold me! Great content!
Thank you, Kat! I use it a ton when we go on road trips nowadays, and it makes life SO much easier!! I hope you love it!
Laundry bottles have about a two inch opening and the lid on most had a choice SILICONE seal. Never leak!
A friend Bill has done about 3-4 MILLION MILES delivering school buses.
He neverb used motels but slept in the car or the bus.
3 million miles of laundry bottle urinals. Never mentioned an accident
Thank you for this recommendation! I’ve been carrying two devices around for 7 years (not at the same time) and never had to use one until yesterday. It was a disaster, because it appeared to be working and I let it all go. It was a funnel style with a super small opening, so it back flowed all over me. I had practiced at home with one I lost and didn’t have that problem, so maybe the company changed the design of the opening since 2015.
The other one I had was kind of jagged and pinched me, which caused me to lose the urge. After the sun came up, I saw where a bathroom was! At least that’s a result, lol.
I’m excited to get the pstyle after this review! I love how what they stand for and how they even have different flesh toned options! I love all of the choices and ended up choosing to pee though recycled sea plastic. This will be my third device type, so wish me luck in third time being a charm!
I hope it works out better for you, Rebecca! Update me once you’ve tried it!! Don’t forget to tip it forward to let gravity work for you. 🙂
I’m actually making a video right now comparing the pStyle to a more funnel-style one, and I saw the had the recycled sea plastic and flesh-tones and was so happy to see those!
Everything you said, yes! I have the same brand and I'm very happy with it. Instructions for use are spot on, but also make sure you don't start slowly tipping it back towards you as you are urinating. I don't know if it's a woman's anatomy but it is a bit challenging to relax enough to urinate while standing. However, there have been so many benefits for it with most of them listed here. I've also been fishing in a boat and the guys pee in the bucket that you bail the boat with and then dump the bucket. Made sense to me, so I used the Pstyle and also peed in the bucket, then dumped it. The only thing I haven't done is attempt to use it in my tent. That makes me nervous. But if it's raining and you really have to go, it would be nice to have that as a safe option. I'd love to hear what others have done without further adding too much to your backpacking weight. I bought mine from GGG. Awesome company. They accidentally sent me a different color that I hate because it reminds me of hospital bedpans. However that gold color does tend to blend in with the environment and I want to be discreet while doing my thing in the outdoors.
I think a lot of women have a tough time letting go and peeing while standing m, at least initially. It has become easier for me over time, but it still takes a conscious effort. I’ve seen people mention using them in a kayak or otherwise boating, though I haven’t yet tried this myself. I’m glad to hear it’s worked well for you! I also haven’t tried in my tent- I’m nervous to do so just like you! I’m clumsy as it is, and this is NOT a situation where clumsy would pan out well! 😂🫠
@@WanderingSwitchback It is a nice bit of freedom to have one of these devices. And years ago I laughed at the thought of even using one. But I am practical, so...
@@ldavis4428 Yup, I was skeptical at best about the need for one initially, but I'm so glad I became a convert!
Great video! I use a GoGirl (silicone), which I love. I originally got it to use with my kayaking dry suit (It has a front relief zipper but not a rear one, so all anyone can do in it is pee standing up. Made my life so much easier! Now I also use it for backpacking. :-)
Thanks, Elizabeth! I'll have to try my pStyle from my kayak (I haven't done any kayaking that requires a dry suit yet, but even still). I keep finding new times it comes in handy (or would if it was with me).
I was prepared that it would take som practice to feel safe to use the pStyle outdoor. But - I am so amazed, not a tiny accident! Used it indoor a couple of times with no clothes on, easy peasy🎉 Then with my pants sagging a bit😂 Now I trust the pStyle 100% and I'm ready for roadtrip 🚙🌳🇧🇻 I have weak legs and a nagging bladder (perfect combination outdoor btw), so this is a BIG relief for me, reduces my stress a whole lot. Thank you ❤ I love your videos, you are just perfect! 😊
Thank you so much! And I'm SO glad this is working well for you!! I absolutely love mine!
Super helpful, thank you! I love that it’s made at a women owned facility too
Thank you! I love that, too!
Ordered one of these for my wife today and I have shared your video. Very helpful information. I would have used your affiliate link if I had seen your video before I ordered it. Doh.
Thank you for that! I hope she loves it! 👏❤️
This is so interesting! Might have to get one for my emergency bag in my car! Thanks for sharing:)
I was surprised how much I like mine! Let me know how it goes for you! ❤️ Miss you!
Thank you so much for this video! I've been looking to purchase one, but it's all so confusing. I'm on a diuretic due to a heart condition, and I have to pee all the time in some really sketchy restrooms which is not fun. This is going to make my life so much easier. New subbie here.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked this, and I hope it makes life better!!
Thanks for the recommendation. I used your link and bought a device and carrying case.
Thank you, Bobbie! I hope it works out great for you!
Just purchased for upcoming trip down the CO River....Thx for the Aff Link
Thank you so much for the support! Have an amazing trip!
Thank you for making this a little funny the whole thing feels silly so is nice to just get that part out the way lollll
Gotta have some humor in something like this! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Wow this video tutorial is awesome. Thank you.
Thank you!
Omg thank you for doing this video! I’ve tried a shewee in the past and it back flowed all over me 😂😂
I think you hit all the reasons someone might want to use this device. I was wondering if the open top of the p-style would work better. I think I will try it! Thank you so much for this valuable info!!!!
I’m so happy with mine, and I really wasn’t sure I would be! Let me know how it works out for you- I bet you can get lots of use on those cold winter hikes!
@@WanderingSwitchback Im positive I will and it will be great for ski patrol also as we don’t have a bathroom in our top house! If I go behind the building I’m dropping drawers about 30 ft from people skiing 😂🤣
I bought one through your link!
Oh man, yeah, that’s no fun! I used the pStyle in Yosemite when it was 16F, and I was grateful I didn’t have to drop trou. It’ll be way easier to be discreet at the top house with this!
Shewee is horrible.
Thank you for the detail!🙂
You’re very welcome, Sandi! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you for the information!😁 This is really neat and would make using the bathroom much easier and more descreet😊
It can really be an asset!
I go about 6-7x on a 10 mile hike. I might have to try this!
I love my pStyle. Send me an email- I know a thing or two about urinary frequency! I’m actually planning a video about urinary incontinence on the trail (who knows when I’ll get it up).
Thank you so much ❤
I've tried a soft funnel disaster😂 say no more... 💦
Luckily you'll get the pStyle here in Norway as well🎉
I hope the pStyle works better for you! I tried a soft model after this, and even just the shape of it made it a real challenge for me.
Thank you for the info as a gal that has legs that "hug" this review is what I was looking for lol now I can go hiking with my husband and not have to worry about poison ivy in areas that might brush up against a leaf !
Yay! I hope this works better for you, and you can avoid some painfully itchy times!
So helpful thank you! It looks like the peestyle has a wider... cup 😅 than the Tinklebellle - can anyone speak to this?
Great question! I hope someone else can answer this one. From what I can see online, pStyle measures 1.75" x 1.75" (for width and height), and the Tinkle Belle is 1.5" x 2", but I'm not sure which is width and which is height. It seems like it's shallower, so perhaps it's wider?
I use a Kula Cloth and own, but have not used a pstyle. Maybe one of these days.
It really was a game-changer for me on the trail, and even on road trips. This last trip I did in the snow, I was SOOOO grateful I had it!
Question...how do you clean your hands if nature calls at night and your hand sanitizer etc is in the bear can far away bc it's bear country? I would think just water but just curious if there's a method here I'm missing lol
Valid question! Honestly, at night, unless I’m also digging a cat hole, I don’t worry about it unless I really need to, and yes, water can suffice in that case. I’m almost always in bear country, too!
I first heard about these things years ago with the P Mate. I said no way! Last year I bought the P-style. :) It just makes sense for all the reasons you mentioned, especially the ticks! I prefer to not have a second go around of a male friend pulling a tick out from between my butt cheeks! So I've only used the device once, and I was gutsy about it. I did drop my shorts and pointed the device at the toilet. I nailed it the first time! However, I did experience... Splashback. I immediately thought of all those men who stand to pee and all of that pee splashing back on their pants, the floor, walls, of all of those bathrooms. Ick. But I do like this device and think I will find it to be very handy, especially in the middle of the night when it's raining, as long as I don't spill whatever the device pours into.
Yes, the splashback is it’s own challenge, but I know I’ve had that even with squatting! Sometimes peeing into grassy areas can be a great way to mitigate the splash.
@@WanderingSwitchback yes. I was just thinking of men who do this daily, multiple times a day. Their pants, their shoes. 😉 In the outdoors, you just do what you have to do!
@@ldavis4428 Exactly! I even think of it with my own trail shoes... Ick! 🤣
Thank you!
😊 You're welcome!
Thanks for sharing. Still one doubt: how do you manage without taking your pants down, especially for the underwear? Shouldn't we then be wearing male underwear, with the opening?
Great question! I actually demonstrate that here: ua-cam.com/video/ooVBI4aJniU/v-deo.html
do you think this would work while sitting in a car? i have a tricky need to pee in my car and not outside squatting behind my car door
I’d imagine with some practice, it could be done. I would practice on the toilet or somewhere similar where a mess won’t be an issue! I often stand with my car door open facing the car, but since my pants are up, I’m not really exposed.
@@WanderingSwitchback THATS A GREAT IDEA CUZ IM DOING IT TOTALLY OPPOSITE AND SCARED ONE DAY I WILL GET NOTICED HAHA OR SOMETIMES I OPEN THE BACK SIDE DOOR SO IT SORTA BLOCKS ME BETWEEN BOTH OPENED DOORS AND I PRETEND IM TIEING MY BOOTS
Thanks! I have one, didn’t use because it seemed awkward. I backpack. Figured it out and then….I snowshoe backpacked. Wish I had learned and had this. Think about it snowshoeing with a backpack, gotta pee. Ugh. Peed on my pants once. Peed on my snowshoes once. That’s on.y a short summary.
I just did my first overnight snowshoeing trip in January, and was SOOOO happy I had this! Definitely made my life easier! I hope you're able to get yours sorted out!
I just got one, and what I can’t figure out is how to use it without having to pull pants down unless I’m wearing pants with a fly, which is rare
I demonstrate using a couple of them in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ooVBI4aJniU/v-deo.html
When I’m wearing leggings or other pants, I just pull them down in the front and let the device keep them down.
LOVE my Pstyle!
Been trying other brands, sizes and shapes of devices.
But just keep returning to my Pstyle.
It is small, discreet, rigid, one piece so no unfolding, attaching extra parts to it, etc.
Been a life-saver, tho!
Just used mine at a Party a couple nights ago.
The toilet seat had dark black blobs of what looked like mascara all over it, yuck!
Also use mine while at Faires with porta potties. I just use the urinals inside those. So no having to use the nasty toilets in them!
Plan on telling all my friends about these!
Are the porta potties on faires disgusting?
It really is the best design! I did another video comparing the design to another, and was not surprised that I loved the pStyle SO much more!
@Matt-xh6rm they certainly can be!
@@Matt-xh6rmYes, ALL Porto potties, are, imho.
Sorry for the weird question, but how come you choose to pee in the urinal in the porta potty instead of the toilet even though you don’t have to sit down on the toilet?

THANK YOU for telling me! I've wondered why there haven't been any sales on that in such a long time. I reached out to pStyle, because that's still what shows as my link, but even when I try to fix it, it still shows the way you've described. I really appreciate you letting me know! ❤
@@WanderingSwitchback 🤗
Quick update- I guess there was an issue that just happened with ALL pStyle affiliate links on UA-cam, and this caught it! So thank you for all of us! ❤ Also grateful pStyle was super responsive about this. Such a great company!
Glad to hear that 🙂@@WanderingSwitchback
"Give it a go!" Haha
I couldn’t help myself! 🤣🤷🏼♀️
Me on a camping trip: “Man I hate having to leave the camp site to walk to the toilet cause I’m scared someone would see me taking a squat”
This product: “Maybe this is what you need so you don’t have to venture that far 😳”
Haha, yes! I will say, it's also amazing on road trips, so you don't have to show the world your squat on the side of the road!
@@WanderingSwitchback definitely! And you don’t have to be stuck in the middle of nowhere to find a bathroom 🥺.
*Edit: I mean that you COULD be out where there isn’t any and still be able to go.
Thanks fab review imhad to giggle at washing it out with your bladder 😅
Haha, yes, sometimes the words come out a little funny! 😂
Switchback, you are wonderful! I love supporting LGBTQ... and women!
It's all so important! ❤
I’m allergic to latex too 😂
Such a fun problem! 🤣
When you are in a campground in a bear country, can you pee using that and a plastic bottle inside your tent? Will your pee attract a bear?
Great question! Yes, you can use this in bear country, including with a pee bottle. Thankfully, as far as I’m aware, bears are not attracted to human urine. I haven’t had any issues at all in bear country using mine, and I leave it on the ground outside my tent overnight. I hope that helps!
@@WanderingSwitchback Cool! New subscriber here! Your channel is very informative. Keep it up!
Thank you!!
Bit messy by the looks of it
Thankfully, it’s really not too messy. I’ve been using it for over 2 years now and I really love it!
When periods are political.....for reasons.....
Maybe there'll be a time when they're not, but I doubt it! 😊
"... folks who identify more as someone who should be standing to pee" - - I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous.
And yet, you still felt the need to comment.
Maybe it feels ridiculous to you, but that shows your privilege. Not everyone was born in a body that aligns with their brain. Humans are complex beings, and I think it’s really important to have some compassion for those who don’t often feel included or considered when seeing content about devices like this, often referred to as a “female” urination device. Not everyone who uses one identifies as a female (or male, for that matter, as gender identity is a spectrum).
Even if you don’t understand something, it’s still important to accept it and show respect to people who aren’t harming anyone when they express themselves.
Thanks for watching, and be well.
