I travelled with a Nikon D3400, Acer laptop, and a mavic mini . Had two batteries for the camera and 4 batteries for the mini and it was safe to do so. They just checked it real quick and was on my way with my carry ons
As a person who flies quite often and works in an airport, there's no way you're going to have an issue with a larger battery. Unless you tell on yourself, the airline personnel (gate/ticket agent) wont know you have them to begin with. You would have to run up, say "I have all these batteries on me and I don't think they're allowed on an airplane". Then the airline person still might not know what you're on about. Especially on non-international fights. Overseas flights might check harder. TSA does not check for batteries as there is no federal standard for external/internal batteries.
Thank you for this video. I never knew about this before I bought my power bank but thankful because I just checked mine after watching your video, My power bank has only 30.4 WA.
Have people tried taking a UPS or two in their carry-on? I'm concerned because even though the Wh in them isn't massive, they are huge and weigh a ton and contain a battery; the battery just happens to not be that large.
I am not photographer, but I heavily use my phone(Full brightness, GPS navigation , Music, take photos and upload the same time) with international WiFi hotspot for 10 hours a day, in hot summer days. I calculated that I would consume a whooping 142wh on the Powerbank side per day( Due heavy load and hot wether, only nominal capacity is appropriate), just with a phone and 4G unlimited WiFi router.
Please, when returning to Ghana from Germany, i intend buying this E-Scooter named NIU Electric Scooter (KQi2 Pro) and board the plane with it. Regarding the battery, i quote "The large capacity of the lithium battery of 365 Wh with regenerative braking power results in a range of up to 40 km. ". Will it be permissible or not. Any clue ? Thank you in advance

Batteries can be seen on an xray right?
@@artofverity8791 Yes. batteries are very dense and show up on any x-ray. Still no reason to be concerned. They arent on TSAs no fly list.
What if I brought a 1 kWh solid-state battery? Not a lithium ion. It's inflammable.
@@vikinggeorge7007 You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means
in bankok they checked each battery
as far as i know even more strikt in china

Note that there are different battery limits for mobility scooters on airplanes
Some airlines are also restricting spare camera batteries to ONE.
This is really a problem with the new mirrorless cameras...
They seem to come up with the rules randomly without thinking it through.
Mine is 12,000MAH is that okay?
VTECH just kicked in yo !!
Does this rule apply to carry on luggage or stow luggage.
Why would you restrict that? Are they afraid that you're not gonna use plane's sockets?

So you need a 15W Powerbank with 10,000 mAh?
10000 mah/ 3.7v should be ok?
That comes out to 37 Watt-hours. It's good.
Idk how many watts on my lithium but it’s the size of a coin it says 3 volts and it says 2032
why can't you bring a battery larger than 300 wh?
