It will take years bago siya isubmit sa studio for green light.
Loveteams need to be abolished na.
Saka sa panahon ngayon, you can make a masterpiece of a film/series with unknown talented actors basta high quality ang mga tao behind the camera.

My problem with our film industry is their use of music. Sana naman they made it na atleast 50% of the music is custom made for the film. I feel like we lack composer that know how to make a film soundtrack ( not sure sa right term). Kaloka lang kc coz we are a musical people for pete's sake.

Heto din, yung mahina tayo magisip ng original/orchestral musical score on setting up the mood of the film at masyado tayong reliant sa mainstream/indie music for soundtrack.

Even Direk Reyes said na malaking impact ang pagpapasara. I agree with one commenter here saying that Philippine writers nowadays are bad, timid, and lazy. Gone those days when we have script writers of "Lino-Broca-Film" and "Ishmael-Bernal-Film" level. Also, the TV series plot and script writing are now patterned from a standard template. Gone those days when TV production exercise their brains to produce unique content especially when the Action content (film/TV) genre died after the 90s.

Lalo na yung Lord of the Rings and Matrix Trilogy. Kaya kahit B-movie pa eh pinapanuod ng tao. Eh ngayon?

Also, the Korean gov’t subsidize film budget, it’s their way of doing “soft power”. While here in PH we previously have 30% amusement tax to all films and cinemas, which eventually lowered to 10% tax, it was Sen Bong Revilla who authored this bill (may ginawa naman din pala sya noh)

I remember when in 2008, The Road, a great horror film by Yam Laranas was showing in theaters, after I got out of the cinema, I overheard people around me getting confused with the timejumps and plot. And the thing that impressed them the most was the jumpscares (LOL) when actually the story was its biggest selling point. And on the opposite side, remember when Probinsyano had that dream sequence where Cardo died and everyone and their Filipino parents were shookt? Everyone I knew that watched that show were in awe of that simple plot twist and yet it became viral like someone invented the cure to cancer LOL. Only shows you what kind of audiences we have.

D kasi gawin seasons. Kailangan araw araw ipalabas napaka rushed at walang kwenta tuloy ng plot. Tska tigilan na ung script na corny. Lagi na lng may scene na breakfast tapos nandun ung mabait na lola, ung bida, kengkoy na kaibigan tapos ung lines pang batibot. Parang d pinag iisipan

@@oxxen100 I mean it doesn't have to be so far and exotic. The story of a person living in some mundane place like Bicutan or San Pedro Laguna from a low or lower middle income household played by an actor coming from the same background in a believable set with believable supporting actors coupled with a high stakes or high reward story, be it fantastic, realistic, sci fi, whatever is already a potent source of sellable stories. Imagine Ronnie Alonte as a resident of Sucat, working as a call center agent, he wins and fails in the end but comes home to the ordinary world as a changed son or person. The movies churned today don't make an effort to relate. They are like contracts of adhesion: either you take them or leave them. Buti pa iyong dating mga palabas nila Rene Requiestas, Shake Rattle and Roll, Palbhasa Lalake, there's an effort to relate to the audience but actors are themselves.

Puro basura kasi story, puro poverty related story, politics related story.

audience grew up but the philippine cinema is stock in an era where lobe story all the way is up there. why wont u recognize the fact that we want a unique film that disregard the lobe story, agawan ng asawa, mahirap na yumaman maghijiganti etc. thats why we choose to stay over at the house rather than spend to a film that just have a different actors but basically a billion times repeated story line!!!!!!
