8:08 put a blank piece of paper (or scrap) on the top and when it dries rip it off, you don't have to worry about being so careful then :)
Since you’re not doing pictures print on
Paper type : Plain Paper
Quality : High
and check Bidirectional Printing
Make a checklist for all the things you learn while sublimating! Keep different lists for each type of blank you use and each design. Make note of settings, times etc.
Seconded. I keep an entire notebook for my small business of everything I learn as I create, anything from best practices to color paletes and branding ideas. It saves soo much time.
Believe it or not I actually do, 😆I have all the times for sublimation products written down and stuff but there is always something I'll forget about even if I've got my notes ahah. I am just a very scatter brained person.
It's awesome you can do notepads at home! Btw, you said you want to have 50 sheets on each pad but this is a weekly planner so it would made more sense to have 52 or 53 sheets in each one since a year has 52 or 53 weeks, so it would be one pad per year. Just my thought on the matter, you do you. Also you can put a blank piece of paper on top so the extra glue will go there and you will not have glue on your first piece of paper.
Didn't watch the full video yet but about the PAINTBRUSH and the GLUE, I would advice you to look into silicone "spatula" for make-up !!! Easier to clean, doesn't waste glue by drinking it, can't get damaged by the glue if you forget it and let it dry and applying glue with it is basicaly the same thing so yeah ! Little tips there ! (Maybe I just hate glue on paintbrushes lol)
Color laser printers will helps on speed on printing notepads
I think use foam brushes would work great.
Kelly's Creations here on UA-cam has some great info/videos on making notepads from home!
Most binding glue dries clear so no harm really done if i gets somewhere it shouldn't.
Unsolicited advice but you can take one of your planner pages and write all your sublimation settings and just tape it to the wall above the sublimation station. That way you always have the info when you want it.
You could probably cover some of the more minor sublimation flaw with a bit of acrylic paint pen. Something to consider.
Congrats on another excellent video!
Print them during the week when u get home.
Loved to see the progress of the note pads and new mugs!! Everything turned out so cute*^*
maybe have a blank sheet of paper on the top when gluing that u can just pull off ~or an entire board of the backing since ur gonna put some by the clips to prevent marks anyways? And i have also seen ppl use modpodge and a tiny glue spatula for the gluing part~
Yeah i was thinking that a safety piece of paper on top of the notepads would be a good idea ahah! 😊
the mugs look great! sublimation seems like one of the hardest things to get right ❤❤
It's definitely got a lot of learning curves but it's also a lot of fun ahah
try the THERMAL CINCH for making those
Keep a notebook with your setting. Check your printer profile on your sublimation printer. The darker mug looks good.
It’s actually crazy but I have a cheap HP office printer and it prints at such high quality and fast for this kind of prints 🙈 I also saw JuJu crafts do the same , she only pays to HP based on the amount printed .. they have a sort of subscription thing .. i know that you just bought the printer but ye 😅
Sublimation; you have a blank wall in the corner next to your machines. Idea; put a checklist on the wall so that when you do your process you won't "forget" anything and waste product.
Great video. I like seeing your journey/progress. I know there is a cost attached, but perhaps consider outsourcing the notepads.
Take the file to a local print shop. However your print settings have to be messed up cause I can print high quality really fast with my eco tank
I was just going to suggest that. I know she said ordering them was a lot of money but if she just gets them printed and then assembles them herself I think it's more cost affective then printing at home.
Love the mugs! Especially with the darker colors!
The new mugs look so freaking CUTEEEEEE
Thank you!! i'm so glad you like them! Can't wait to get them on Etsy! ☺
So glad you got the coloured mugs!! They look awesome x
Glad to see that your notepads are working, even though they take a long while to print! They are looking great!
