Animals will set them off (only downside), can sometimes interrupt sleep unnecessarily, but seems like pretty good range with this brand.

Lisa and I really enjoyed this video. We have been looking for a good driveway alarm, but we just have not been able to find one that has worked with our driveway. So anyway, we will be ordering one of the Hosmart Driveway Alarms for our driveway real soon. So until next time, may God bless your days the way He always blesses ours!

I bought the 1/2 mile camera and used for a few years but lightening got it and my electric gate opener, I added lightening protection devices and surge protectors to the gates area about 1/4 mile away so I am buying the solar one now to try. The ding sensors still work three years plus later with one battery change only.

mount the receiver on the wall above your front door as high up as practical. that may allow you to move sensor one further away and make it more reliable when the wind is blowing hard

Distance + powered wiring , metal within the home can be factors when Installing any type of wireless system of function. This is why alot of drive way alarms and or gate intercom system are low voltage wired system

Multiple layers of security in a home is a must let alone over a large piece of land. Cameras are needed but you need something like this to warn you that something is up. Who stares at the camera monitor all day ;) Homes also need a 3 tier system. Door / window contacts (including the garage doors) infrared eyes and Glass breaks. Why? because you need 2 layers at all times to be covered. outside cameras and sensors.. inside the house, you will be able to arm the alarm in STAY mode arming the contacts and glassbreak with the infrareds off. this means you can walk around the home, sleep chill whatever. if someone forces a window or door or simply breaks glass to reach the lock, the system will go off. No surprises. p.s. throw in smoke detectors (wired to the alarm) and a sensor for the sub pump (when it turns on) and you are pretty much covered ;)
