Accurate info since my supervisor is also an MK2. Solid video!
Good info, i have a question if you can answer it. How much time an MK spend time in a boat? do you have to stay days over there? i'm asking because i did a lot of research and i might be married when i will start my process to join in the coast guard and is somehing important to know when you are not single.
Luis Orozco It depends on the unit, but I would guess you have a 90% chance of ending up somewhere where you will stay at work overnight for at least 2-3 days at a time, whether it’s a station or a cutter. Bigger cutters = more time underway. MKs are more prevalent on cutters as well but you can still manage to get land jobs just as the other rates. I hope this helps! I was in a similar position when I joined, definitely something to talk to your significant other about but definitely do-able.
@@d00ditsjeremy If i have to stay 3 days working that means i would have 4 days at week that i might be with my wife? I know is logic but i preffer ask and be sure
Luis Orozco yes, again it depends on the unit
