What if I told you these are my daily essential tools lol. When your climbing, walking and hiking to a different location to fix problems on the go, to backtrack and get what you need would take hours. A backpack is required due to ladders and multi-level platforms to allow for "proper" climbing. Hahaha. My review is based on my experience with the backpack and from me using it as such, I found issues someone may not see on the shelf. Cheers Mate
Why don't you move the metal strap for the tape measure higher and rivet it in place. many packout proprietors modify and add features to their packout so that it works for them. I BELIEVE IT IS A GREAT PLATFORM.
Absolutely you can modify anything on a system to make it work for you. It's a fantastic platform. For me as a Millwright, there are some drawbacks to this product. I know many electricians who love it and it works for them. But for me, Out-Of-The-Box this bag is not designed well for my trade. There are options out there, even from Milwaukee that is better suited than this for the price point.
I love the bag, I have the cart and other boxes but it's nice for when I'm doing simple jobs and only need basic tools and drills. Fits both my impact and drill. I work construction and carpentry and can carry everything I need. Put your tester inside and u can carry a bottle lol.
I'd use one of the packout carrying cases and make a custom bin for all of those wrenches instead of throwing them in bundles between three different pockets in the backpack. It would be an extra case to carry but it would also be a lot less weight on your back and it would be nice an organized. If they all fit in one of the smaller cases you could always clip it to the underside of the backpack to free up a hand again.
For myself, traveling to the work site included going up fixed ladders making a backpack must. The build on the backpack definitely doesn't fit a Milwright requirements in my opinion. For sure though making custom dividers on the tote would work ... Let me make some and I'll post a video! Thanks!
I have exactly the 2 same bags. The backpack is great, as long as you put the tools in the right spot, can´t blame Milwaukee for that.... The the first bag you have, the empty half is for power tools etc. Works like a charm for me. I have my drill, impact and charger there.

Trick I've learned. 3d print inserts for pockets and apron pockets. Stops screwdrivers and other stuff from punching through.
This just reaffirms my decision to return it for the tech pack pro pack.
