- We share a second look at my Tech Pac Backpack Tool Bag from Veto Pro Pac. After two years of using this back pack style Tool bag to carry my electrical tools to and from jobsites I can honestly say to you Don't Waste Your Money on This Veto Pro Pac Tech Pac!
We have what is "In my opinion" a much better option from WiHa, its their Wiha RedStripe 30 Piece Tool Kit.

I do commercial/industrial HVAC and use a veto bag daily. It endures the sun, rain, snow, chemicals, and gets beat up regularly. Still using the same bag that I started in the field with 10 years ago out of highschool.
You think you can fit a tool belt in there?
@@noeltheodros805 Not sure why you would but sure. Just gonna take up some space. Could probably secure it to the outside of the bag as well.
Love my Veto bags. Its so hard to explain to people how much better they are than all of the other options. They are the very best.
Maybe you don’t have kids I don’t know but that is outrageously expensive for a bag, I’ve been using Milwaukee and Klein bags for years and have never ever had an issue finding a tool when I needed, this veto pro pack garbage is nothing more than gluttony on a grand scale, it probably costs them $28 to make those bags these people are wacked
@@joshuasechter5306 a 5 gallon bucket does the same job as a Veto bag. You get what you pay for.
@@lukebrown4184 i totally agree, a 5 gallon bucket does the exact same thing.
“For $450… and you’re getting the free screwdriver”
Lol
And 75$ allen wrenches !!!! there color coded I guess makes them more expensive .
Spending on gear is very personal.
Different topic, but I bought a photography backpack about 6 years ago.
At the time, I thought it was crazy to spend over £600 for a bag.
But it still serves me well. It protects literally thousands of pounds of gear, it's comfortable all day, loaded with over 20kgs of cameras, lenses, tripods, etc...
So there's no right or wrong answer...
Good review, carry on.
I use a Veto MB2 Blackout for my grab and go bag. Very well made.
This is what my buddy uses as well. I'm actually gonna go buy one this week
I’ve had one for going on 4 years in HVAC installations it’s held up great and fits all the tools
I legit thought I was about to have to unsubscribe from the channel! I have the Tech Pac Blackout, and I absolutely love it. If it went missing, I would not hesitate to buy another immediately. Hands down the best engineered and best made tool bag I’ve ever had!
Man me too 😆 🤣
Gotta get those clicks boys. He's just stirring shit up to get views, and it works every time. I already know he's up to something, and I'm still coming back for more. Vince is always worth the watch.
You should try a husky bucket or klien bags weigh less and have as much space. I respectfully think there over priced compared to what's out there
@@shanedeagres6193 If you worked on a roof with snow and rain you would appreciate the quality that the veto bags bring to the table I have a milwaukee backpack and it will not stand on its own dropping tools in water and snow also the guys that have the Klein back pack will tell you the same it is higher priced but if you use it everyday I think it worth the money especially when your working in poor weather conditions but I still get your point of it's high price.
@@anthonywoolf9087 lol I'm a commercial and Industrial refrigeration and HVAC tech, I'm in the snow and rain when other trades are getting the day off. Only apprentices buy these veto bags. These should be call Veto rookie paks
The Red is eye candy. Great value BUT.........I always end up carrying the backpack by the handle....so I purchased the Veto XL Pro Pac and gave away the Veto back pack. Plus it carries way more hand tools, but gets heavier. Great Review Vince as always.
80$ for my husky H-68007 and I have ZERO complaints. Holds the two 12v tools (impact/sawzall) that i consistently use , all my hand tools I use daily , two hard compartments for 3 test meters , charger , 3 spare 12v batteries , removable insert for my most commonly used hand tools , front zippered pocket for my precision hand tools , two dewalt bit cases and my sawzall blade case with room to spare.
Just discovered your channel my dude....Electrician here in Milledgeville,Georgia... Residential/Commercial/ Industrial, you name it...ive been through a few bags the last 10yrs. An open top cradle style C.L.C. (Custom Leather Craft)...wore it out and got the Klein Back pack..was not happy how soon it caved and would not stand up no more...got another CLC but their back pack version and after only a month its starting to not want to stand up...anyway I'm a single dad of 3,so I usually do pretty well at tax time so if the offer is still available,I might just treat myself to the Veto/Wiha colab bag.seems very durable!! Love my Klien tools to death, but Wiha and Knipex are no slouches for sure!!! Keep up the videos man I'm about to dive into your channel!! God bless & 'MERICA!!
It's a good job he was wearing his safety glasses while making this video, lord knows what terrible injury would have befallen him otherwise.
The set needs diagonal cutters and wire strippers. Those always wear out first. Maybe a voltage tester too.
Still love your birth control safety glasses!
I bought the milwaukee backpack and I gotta tell you... I'm now them impressed. use it for school right now, but that's just me
I did the same thing, converted to Veto Pro Pac Tech. Now my backpack is super heavy w/ 60 lbs plus and i just found the Veto Pro Pac TEch w/ Wheels ! Tempted to go to milwaukee packout because of the wheels....
-Veto MB3B is what I use for commercial refrigeration.
-Fieldpiece BG36 for residential refrigeration
-Milwaukee tech bag for HVAC sealed system work
-Veto tech series & Milwaukee packout backpack used for tool storage and general usage.
-Milwaukee open tote 15” bag for plumbing.
I do residential and commercial HVAC, appliances and plumbing so the tool bags always have different stuff for each type of work involved.
Nice setup, got the tech MCT but not in the field, got tired of using the ridgid bag but I’ll be field ready in a few weeks. Still think I should get the mb2 for when I’m feeling lazy
U
You had me worried for a second lol, I love my pro pac and if I ever wanted a new bag it would be that wiha bag.
Vince, curious if you plan on posting any VCG construction videos?
Yo Vince, I have 3 veto bags and as you say way worth the money. They are awesome. Clad to see they are reaching out to great tool companies like Wiha. All the best my brother, happy new year!!!!
I love my Veto Pro Pac Bags, they've been very tough and held up over the years.
I'll be graduating with my degree in HVACR here soon and have some interviews next week to start working between classes. I just ordered the wiha Veto bag tool combo and am stoked to get it in and get to work!
It's been two years since you comment. Hope you're succeeding and thriving in HVAC, it's a great career path and has served me well.
Wow 😮 thx for the video!
300 is still a little crazy but they hold up, our lead install tech still has the original backpack from their first runs and everything on it is fully intact, works as well as a new one
When he opened the back, OMG😂🤣
NICE WIHA BAG! I recently got the Beato pro pack, rolling bag. I travel to New York, quite often for Hvac Work and making my way around the city. The rolling Beato pro pack. Tech bag has been a lifesaver.
I own every Veto Pro Pack Bag I even have the wiha I love this brand man great video brother!!!
Nice to see you vince happy new year bro👊
Happy new year!!
Greenlee has a pack, Klein also had a good starter bag. Personally I use Klein because price is decent and good quality and Milwaukee for a select few things when it comes to hand tools
I totally agree 100%, these bags are stupid expensive, save your money for your family, what are you doing?? go buy a Milwaukee or a Klein for a fraction of the price, better quality, better warranty, better companies
I'm about to learn sewing and create my own bag.
I've been using veto bags for about 12 years plus, by far, the best bags you can buy.
Man this bag looks good , but I’m interested to see how it holds up to the new knipex backpack 🎒
I bought mine more than 10yrs ago and I never had to buy more than that. It was well worth it to floss that bag all my carrier. I always get looks, uuuuhhh..ahhhhh's
They could include a knife but it’d be in “frustration free” packaging too.
safety glasses for a video is crazy
The bag itself is heavy already so if you can’t lift a ton don’t buy it you might get a dislocated arm.
1 year of part time use is never enough to assess the value of a Veto bag. Use it 2-3 years 40-60 hours on average and then you can give a value appraisal. The Wiha special bag is cool. If I an electrician were starting from scratch and people still did hot work that back would make more sense but honestly being safe and compliant on jobs these days means virtually no hot work. I have a little Veto MCT and I'm getting a new Veto Tech Pack LT for HVAC controls work. It holds laptop, accessories, cables, and meter in back part and tools in front part. Tired of carrying the laptop in a case and bag in hand and trying to use card reader on doors and put mask on and off. Plus I'll be able to carry stuff while having the bag on my back.
Veto rocks, the tech pack is too big. I got the mini tech pack and I love it. Money well spent.
The bag does indeed looks nice and it does make sense that the Wiha with the extra tools would be a better option, but both my Milwaukee and Stanley Fatmax bags work pretty well depending on what I'm doing and if I need the bigger Milwaukee or the smaller Stanley. The Stanley also has reattachable tool slot compartment, which is very useful for me, because I can remove that part when I work and I won't have to dig up in my bag all the time. I've got both bags combined for around $150, which is around 1/3 of the price of the Veto Pro. I'd much rather spend the extra money on quality tools.
Wow what a great deal!
£290 for a rucksack! You also have to get it insured because if you work on a site, it will grow legs and walk off!
I hope they paid you well for that advert. I have a veto bag personally and you would have to drop me on my head to pay 450 for that
VETO MAKE THE PRO PACK TECH PACK IN RED!!!!!!!!
At least make the interior in red ! ! !
The black interior is no good, I’d rather go with the grey, things get lost inside.
You had me worried at first like others mentioned. Hands down Veto is the best. I have 10 of there bags. Use them in residential and commercial HVAC work. Have had 1 of the bags for around 14 years. Will never buy another brand.
Would you guys recommend a tech pac mc or blackout for an apprentice electrician bag
Cool video vince. I like the look of the Wiha better.👍🏻
Depends on the trade and person. It's a great reliable pack AND the big bonus is that it doesn't tip over ! Like every pack does ! .
BUT as a refrigeration tech NO WAY, it's way to heavy , just the pack itself weights allot. Ref guys are always on the move, roofs, basements , restaurants, long walks in shopping malls , NO WAY , your back and shoulders will be done . Try maybe Klein or some other brand .
It's to bad it really is a tough reliable pack.
Just got mine today and the only disappointment is the fact that it is made in China, guess this is one of those one time only for me.
I had an idea about a video series for the spring/summer. Set a budget and a construction/DIY project and buy all the tools you need at garage sales or online. It has to be used tools and on the cheap. Thoughts?
What veto would you recommend for doing plumbing?
Those Tech Pacs are heavy AF.
Disagree with you….Veto makes really quality products and well worth the extra $$
Yo Vinny. Didn't I see Veto selling his Pro Packs down in the Bronx's?
I bought this bag and it is brilliant, hasn't missed a beat.
Over a years worth of abuse still works fine.
The only down side to the back pack is its weight, I got it to save my back by having the weight spread evenly rather than a sling style bag. But because it's about 16kg after all my tools go in it's still abit rough but that's just me.
Very well made bag.
backpack should be 20% or less of body weight! found myself with the same issue, except I got the packout backpack.. and I am now back at the chiropractor monthly haha. Looking at swapping to the 15" Packout tote.
Make sure your straps are right and not too lose where the bag hangs on your back.
That’s not a “crane hook” it’s a hook for hanging the bag off of equipment while working. I use it to hang mine on whatever piece of HVAC equipment that I’m working on. Veto bags are indestructible.
I could never replace my veto wheeler.
Hey Vince! Check out the slim vario 15pc insulated 1000v screwdriver set, it’s the main squeeze in my tech mct.
That red is so fire
Yo Vince! Happy New Year! 😁✌
Happy new year Dave, thanks!
@VCG Construction. Thanks Vince for the info on this deal. So where could we buy this Vito/Wiha deal? A link would help.
Keeping you and your family in my daily prayers.
Have a Happy New Year.
I need to know what blade that is! Looks like spyderco but unsure.
What's the quality of the screw drivers and other tools
I own 4 pro paks and my son has 2. They are the best on the market durable.great material and design. They are the only company that has really improved on the bags or paks in decades. Other companies just change the color of bags. Throw Thier logo on it and use cheap material. Veto pro pai kicks ass.period.
I got my first one! 🤩
Love the veto bags but you need to review the Velocity rouge 5 from the UK, cheaper and good for the money.
Thanks cuz for a great video! Happy new year Vince! And the#VERYCOOLGANG!
That’s the smallest cutest little fish tape I’ve ever seen!
🤣
Does wihaa have a smaller tech bag ?
Bro no way this guy said a few more dollars it’s a whole $150 dollars more I busted out laughing when he said it was $450 😂😂😂😂
Very mad at Veto. My tech pack is 7 years old, the zipper on the front has failed. I called Veto and they don't want anything to do with repairing it, they only want to deal with warranty. Considering milwaukee for my next bag at a 1/3rd of the price.
Please do a video on the best rolling bags for traveling service guys 🎉
Where can I buy the velocity rogue 9.0 here in the states??
Veto is 30 miles from me. If I have a problem I can drive and get my loaner 🤣
I wish they'd stop making in interior colour black. It makes things harder to see.
What knife do you have?
If anyone on a job site asked the OE crane operator 'hey could you lift my tool bag up to the 17th floor"...Well, We all know what would happen LOLOLOL
Best bag I have ever owned!
I have the veto service bag, all i wish is that it had a strap, kind of clunky carrying a loaded pac that weighs 20 lbs with one hand by the handle
I'm an industrial electrician and often use a laptop on site. I've been so tempted to get these a few times but the retail at the big box stores here in upper Mexico (Canada) want nearly $500 CDN pesos for this thing. I dunno if I can justify the cost.
I’m a sparky from the UK and even though it killed me to spend £300 on a fucking bag, you won’t regret it mate. Definitely worth it, velocity also make very good bags and are just a bit cheaper👍🏻
@@i_know_youre_right_butSame here I'm serious considering it, my wife might think I've lost my mind😂
The price would be great if the daughter of veto or wiha ceo delivered the bag in your place herself and then giving you a really, really good suck and swallow😂 if that's not the case then as a technician myself I'm telling you, you will regret it plush if you have experience from inside few companies you can tell the cost about 35$ to 45$ in the worst case and they sell it 400$ to 500$ so.... be smart😅
The pouches do need to expand a lil more
Love your performance ❤❤ But Veto is “SOMETHING ELSE”
Look at the nice leather on the Veto , compare to cheep looking of Wiha🙈
Had it for couple of days but is rubish, i could only get 1/2 from my klein tools bag to fit inside 😀😊
Thank you for pointing me to that! Very good deal!
No problem Mr!
@@VCGConstruction7:36 made in USA... Wiha is from Germany😉
When's Knipex gonna link up with Veto?! Lol 7:45 most relatable part of the video
Hahahaha i came to hate, and you brought out what i just bought and now im a wiha user and lover. You got a new follower 😂 good shiz
Also $399 on jb tools rn
I have thousands in Veto bags…. And thousands in milwaukee. Veto makes a far better tool bag. The bags are just incredible. And they listen to their customers and bring new bags out with the requested changes and suggestions.
Best bag ive ever had and I definitely abuse it id reccomend it to anyone
How long was that bag used for? Still looks new asf.. looks like this dude loaded the bag and did the review
I'm a heavy equipment mechanic in a mine. when we fix stuff in the stope, we only have the tools we can carry. would one of these pacs be sturdy enough to hold a couple socket sets, a decent set of wrenches, and a thorough electrical troubleshooting/repair kit. maybe 50ish lbs of stuff
Mine is over 50 lbs of tools. I use it Mo-Fr for the past 4 years. Not a single issue or failure to date
Well if your a union electrician in the bay area i can buy one of those in 3 hours of work😂
That’s funny man I reallly thought you were done with the veto brand 😂
I'm sold and subscribed lol 😆
Thanks
VCG Construction on point with the misleading titles 👍🏼
a few dollars more?? How about more like $162 more.
My heart dropped when I saw the video bc I just bought the regular bag 😂
YO VINCE, LMAO! I wonder how many people caught the my cousin vinny reference?
I've only seen a few of your/his ( do you look at all these?) Vids.
What is your trade? Sparky?
Also, is wiha American for wera?
We don't get wiha here, googled it, but they're nearly identical . There must be a link between the two??
Yes, they are both top of the line German brands
if you can do a video on if the milwaukee m18 table saw and 12in dual bevel miter saw is still worth it in 2022 please
Amazon has it 429 with free screw driver
I'm about to buy another XL. Replacing my XL I bought in 2008. I'm not a backpack person. Like the review though.
