For context: I am autistic and even though I am a very mild case (most people just find me a little weird or quirky), it is still makes some social stuff rather difficult. Especially dating is a nightmare, let me tell you. But back to touch starvation. My problem is that it is really hard to find someone to cuddle with as a man. It's more or less accepted that two female friends will hug and cuddle, but not many people like to share gentle touches with a man they're not dating. Not to mention that I tend to send mixed signals. My body language is rather distant and closed off if I don't pay attention to constantly have an open and inviting posture. Eye contact is manageble, but also really distracting if I have to force myself to maintain it. To make it short: I have an inherrent weirdness that many people don't want to deal with. But yeah, it would be nice to have someone to snuggle up to from time to time. Wouldn't even have to be sexual or romantic.
