Indescribable --- at a loss for words -- the beauty, the encompassing feeling of being there right on stage with the cast --- mesmerizing -- I wish I had seen the production.
Thank you Michael, such a thrilling way to present this Evita opening....I only wish I had seen the show when it ran! So great to see an Artistic Director embracing the visions of great artists and visionaries!
Excellent presentation. The whole scene is beautifully done. I always thought the movie made a terrible mistake putting Evita in army fatigues as she sang her big song. She must be bedecked in jewels and a larger than life dress. She is all theater and made up emotion as she asks her descamoisados to look past the finery, that she is still one of them. Even the music with that flute in the middle after have I said too much, etc, is a joke. The people don't get how she is lying. Evita reminds us that we must be careful how we choose our leaders and whom we worship.
This opening is STUN-NING! Evas entrance took my breat away! I really wasn't expecting THAT to happen!
BREATH-TAKING!

Stunning staging.
Fantastic. Great concept.
Wow, just wow 😍
LIVING for these
the most stunning opening to any of Andrew Lloyd Webbers musicals ever created. Thus supersedes the BWAY Revival
This is literally better than both Broadway productions oh my word.
This is better than the version. I saw summer camp with a bunch of Ashkenazy’s painted to look darker.

Fine on stage, but far too fanciful for the cinema.
