Provides good control bursts and very little down time and since the screen has a cap on how fast it can move in any direction, there is little ot be gained from getting shotguns on both toons. Might look like a good choice if you're like the rest of us and don't leave any survivors :D

My friend and me beat Contra in under 13 minutes back in the 80’s. We were 9 years old. We played it so much we eventually didn’t need the code. I always thought that was pretty impressive. Took a lot of play time though. This makes me want to call him up and have a reunion run through. 😁

I remember playing this at my friend's house as we couldn't ask our father to purchase one for us. The TV video game was priced at about 320-350 INR or 7-8 USD at that time. We were heavily discouraged and owning a video game was considered a novelty. There was always a lesson on investment. For this particular reason, I am still unable to order a PS4. This was a pleasure to watch. These two work in near-perfect concert while simultaneously seeming to not care about the other player at times. Both of them have to correct perspective: the mission is to progress through the game while taking advantage of dual protagonist approach. That is how they achieved what they did. Well, that and probably a ridiculous amount of hours practicing.

These two work in near-perfect concert while simultaneously seeming to not care about the other player at times.
Both of them have to correct perspective: the mission is to progress through the game while taking advantage of dual protagonist approach. That is how they achieved what they did. Well, that and probably a ridiculous amount of hours practicing.
