yoooo, that black on the ryobi looks sick!
I own a masonry company, I started off very humble and bought what I could afford which was ryobi. I always felt the stares of people on the job sites. They've never let me down, are very affordable and do the job just as well as the red and yellow tools. That being said I would love to have them in black.
Rob, you’re right. Black Ryobi tools would make a big difference. I am going to get that stick vac based on what you said. Thx!
A black, primo Ryobi tool on the jobsite... I'd be really interested to check those out
takes a big man to talk about his divorce openly, your best years are ahead of you man! can confirm!
Black Ryobi tools will most definitely be more accepted on job sites! Plus they look awesome! I’d definitely get my hands on all of those if they came out like how you showed them. Great work! 😁
Dude, I’m sorry to hear about the divorce but you absolutely have to drop better help as a sponsor. They’re effectively a scam company that uses unlicensed “therapists” to prey on people with mental health issues. Look into it if you need to, but I’d distance from them as quickly as possible.
They also settled with the FTC for selling "sensitive consumer data-specifically email addresses, IP addresses, and answers to personal health questions-for advertising purposes." As usual, the amount was sofa cushion money, not nearly enough to get them to stop.
@@jakejackson8395 Im aware of the FTC fines in the past, and their correction. Other than that, l found no evidence of BH being a scam. I’ve used the service, and they put me in contact with a Licensed therapist with 10 years of experience and she’s been great. That’s why we took the sponsorship. I encourage anyone to fully research a company before working with them. I appreciate your concern.
@@ToolShow listen, I’m sure you had a good experience with them, Im glad you did. I’m also sure they have some actual licensed therapists but it’s a proven fact that they’ve used unlicensed “therapists.” I respect you wanting to work with whoever you want to, but sometimes poor advertisers can reflect poorly on a good channel.
@@jakejackson8395 Again, I appreciate your thoughts. I will gladly further discuss this with you by email, (rob@toolshow.com) if you have more questions.
Almost all youtube sponsors are scams. I've never ever used any youtube ad. Don't know anyone who has either. Who the heck even purchases 'ad's they saw on a YT video?
Black is my favorite color. So MORE BLACK = BETTER! The Black + highlights looked BEAUTIFUL.
thank you Rob for sharing the information on Better Help! I have been in health and safety for nearly 30 years (the bulk of that time in the construction industry) and getting information on services like this out to the masses is something that I wish more people did. We all need help from time to time, and having someone to talk to can be just as important as your PPE.
Appreciate the note Joe!
Agree, that black on the Ryobi looks great. Would love to get my next HP Ryobi tool in that colour scheme. Hope Ryobi are listening
If Ryobi changed the color I would than buy them. The green makes it look like a toy.
I have a lot of Ryobi, and read the Reddit and facebook groups as well. The existing stick vacs are not well regarded. There are a couple of very specific weak plastic pieces that always break. I hope this new vac fixes those issues.
So sorry Rob. My prayers for you and your kids. Best wishes only!! Regards Cesar
3:50 - if you guys recall MAKITA did an all black color change for their LXT line (i think that's what it was called) back 4 or 5 years ago, and while i didn't "take the bait" being a Milwaukee guy, i was VERY tempted to buy some Makita tools just on the color change alone since most things i touch are always dirty.
An underrated improvement on the Ryobi stick vac: the new location for the power buttons. The locations of the buttons and the "Ryobi" branding are swapped on the current model, and super easy to accidentally press when you're picking it up or carrying it.
Rob way to go in giving us a look at the 2 ton hoist I really liked the way you pulled it out of the box and demoed it. It really helps us see exactly what it’s capable of like the fine tuning of lowering & higher it. Well done. I would love to see more just like that.
@Tool Show. Yes, Rob. You pulled off this week's big show without Sarah. And your left arm didn't get bruised too! 🙂
Keeping you, Sarah, and your families in my daily prayers.
Black ryobi looks way better
That Milwaukee plaid is sweet! It's a little early for a flannel, but it's still sweet!
Flannel looks nice, but would probably have to wait until December to wear it here in FL 😂
Need a t-shirt version with the sleeves cut off 🐊😜
Yeah I live in Valdosta, Ga and it's usually Jan until it's actually cold. Cold down in Oct, gets warmer in Nov-Dec then our 2 months of winter/spring starts in Jan. Although it was definitely cooler for a much longer time this year. I've been wearing their workskin for hot weather. Not sure why it has a hoodie being long sleeve but if you soak it in ice water for 5-10 mins then ring it out it feels amazing for a good chunk of the day.
Hey Milwaukee. I like the shirt but make it in TALL for the big guys and to help out the plumbers.
Yes to blacked-out HP tools. And Ryobi should get away from high-viz green for their household tools. I’d love to see their whole 4V line in the old Ryobi blue.
I'm down with OPT, Yeah you know Me. 😂
RIDGID did a special edition black version of their Gen5X a few years ago. I wish all their power tools were available in black.
10:50 youre telling me this guy has the M18 hoist but *not* the adapter for old ass XRP 18v dewalt batteries?
"Ryobi Black" Burnt up in the Sun!
I hope I had influence on that shirt 😂😂😂
Bwahahaha yup!
Always wondered why they went away from the blue, black/gray/highlighter yellow would look good.
Ryobi already has the black HP tools but not here in the states they are in Europe and other places
Hello from the UK 🇬🇧 Enjoyed this. I’m knee deep in Ryobi. Love that battery, but we won’t see them in the UK for ages I bet. We never get all the Ryobi gear here 😢
Sorry to hear about the divorce pal.
Subscribed 👍🏼
Ryobi cordless stuff is really pretty good for the money. I use ryobi at home for house work. I use snap on cordless at work. And milwaukee cordless in my shop at home. Milwaukee is honestly my favorite of the 3 but ryobi is great priced right and ive beat the hell out of them and they keep working.
Yes I will buy that light. And are you referring to the fact that it's not on the same USB 3.0 battery platform that all the other lights that I own are also on? As long as it doesn't turn out like the pen light with the laser we'll be all right.
Divorced? I thought you and Sarah were married to each other. My first Ryobi tools were the ugly blue ones, then they changed to the even uglier green. I switched to Milwaukee in 2008ish? with the first gen drill and impact combo that I still have and compared to my M12 Fuel drill and impact are SOOO slow.
I thought he and Sarah were married too
Those black Ryobi mockups look very Flex-ish to me.
Black with green accents all the way. The green always made them look amateur or like toys.
Hi, do you guys have any information on the new gen impact drivers for Ryobi? They sent me something, but they are just pictures of the compact impact driver which we all have seen already. BTW, new Ryobi HP barrel grip jigsaw as well.
I don’t mind the color of the tools now, but those black Ryobi loos super sharp.
I have used Ryobi for years and found the quality is as good as the competition . The value of one battery for all their tools cannot be matched. I buy bare tools all the time for one or two jobs because your dollar goes far and they get the job done!
Always felt Ryobi should do a black dominant color scheme. Black tools matter!
I like the black but on a job site I can see the benefits of primary color being bright green
yes I wish they do sell them in the states just like different tools they don't offer here
I finally did it. I was fast enough to use the promo code. 🎉🥳🥳
@@paul9912 Grats!
The new flashlight works really well and fits in a pocket like a cellphone. Good run time.
BLACKED OUR RYOBI IS IT!!
Now I can drop myself into the middle of a building Mission Impossible style
Black tools look cool but are hard to see if for example you drop a socket or wrench into an engine bay. As far as power tools I can imagine them spread out over a job site as you’re cleaning up a mere glance is all you need to check if you collected all your Ryobi poorly lit or not.
well if you look at the Australian Ryobi look up their Ryobi 18V ONE+ Hammer Drill Collector’s Edition Kit they got and tell me what you think. it does look better all black.
Great to have you stop in Rob, happy to do a demo anytime!!! Hopefully everyone knows you are joking about stealing from OPT. Obviously you don't shoplift, assuming fans of the show know that but unfortunately we do have to deal with that, it's a real problem.
That winch is very cool
Was really simple to set up.
Darth basis the best, or the worst. I have the same card. Me and my oldest daughter have built the darth Vader Lego helmet. Love your videos keep it up
Dang didn’t know they make fake batteries for Milwaukee. And it is almost close to original. Without deeper observation and comparison you wouldn’t know if you got fake one.
That’s right. Which is why you should NEVER buy a battery from eBay. Only buy from authorized retailers. We recommend a OhioPowerTool.com
Yeah all black tools would be dope but it would suck to have to replace them all and all black link system would be really sweet too
Black for sure
Love the black vac !
One of the best sponsors integration I've witnessed in years.
A shame they're borderline evil.
Thats not an m18 orbital sander. Its an m12!
Did I say M18? That's my bad. I likely just read it wrong off my teleprompter. :)
@ToolShow you're good, brother. Just busting balls. Thanks for the video. But absolutely NO thanks to that weirdo who says mil wauk-I-A. I wish he'd just stop
Ryobi black would look better for the HP tools. Same the Black shirts looked better than the white. The White shirts look too much like a grocery store employee. But love tool show either way.
Another great episode!!!!
Yes to black Ryobi tools!!! 🔥
The black looks better
I would have got that milwaukee light until you said the price. Thats a tad over $100 Australian dollars 😮
Mr. Rob, sorry to hear about your divorce. It must have been pretty difficult going those the procedure and having shingles around the same time. Difficult times, but glad to see you are pulling through the hardships and getting back up. A bit strange though since your ex introduce Sarah to you, or insisted Sarah join the crew all those years ago. Best of luck, sir
The point to take my ryobi tools to my job site is that nobody take them, if u chage the perseption of the tool give him new look (black color) it just going to receive too much attention and everybody are going to start using my tools, it happens with milwaukee, dewalt, makita, etc... so, for me is better to stay green... simply i don't want to share my tools
The hoist is cool but price x_x
@@shady2957 Yeah the price is pretty hard to swallow.
I absolutely would LOVE to see black ryobi
I want to see the new HEATED JACKETS and that New 3 amp cell phone size Battery
Rob, I don’t know your inner feelings and obviously all that happened but I went through a divorce roughly 8yrs ago and without doubt, darkest time of my life and the therapist I went to undoubtedly saved my life. I just hope you’ve found someone who can truly help you and better your life as you traverse your next steps forward. Be safe and know, that at least you’ve got a fan in me…be safe and take care!
Greatly appreciate you taking the time to leave this not Jeff. I'm incredibly fortunate, because my life has taken an enormous turn for the better ever since. My kids and I are doing wonderful, but I'm not nearly naive enough to think I know the best way to father a pair of kids who are navigating a divorce too. My therapist is a rock star so far. Glad you found the help you needed!
@@ToolShow Of course sir…I’m remarried to an amazing lady, with a 2yr old and another on the way, chin up and head facing forward! Keep the big red stuff coming, I’m a huge junky for them and am without doubt dying to get my hands on the Ringer from them…being in the sprinkler industry that thing looks wicked! And a saver of my elbow!
Can I get the link for the Milwaukee tools
7:13 is the start
BUT THE BATTERY IS GOING TO BE IN A INCLOSED
MY M18 . 9 INCH CUT OFF WHEEL HAS A INCLOSED M18 BATTERY
EVERY 5 MINUTES THE BATERY OVERHEATS
WHILE MAKITA AND HILTY CUT OFF WHEEL HAS NO INCLOSED BATTERY
BUT I BELIVE WITH THE ICLOSED BATTERY IT IS GOING TO OVER HEAT VERY QUIKLY
Damn that Philly Fixed guy is lazy, he needs a remote control to mow his lawn🤦🏻♂️🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️
Have a good selection of Ryobi tools….and they served me well!!
A grey/Ryobi green/yellow highlights will keep interested.
My clientele expects and looks for brand names…from vehicles to sunglasses…they notice!
I use M12 or M18 red tools on the job
Anyone ever seen Rob and Ryan Day in the same room at the same time?
Wow 4Ah ryobi battery. 129 dollars. Thats almost 2x as expensive as the same capacity as milwaukee.
I sm not happy with the new proprietary built in batteries from pupelines new line up. I have quite afew reflithium batteries laying around not doing much beyond lights. Would like to see the redlithium 2 and 3 ah batteries have more tools to swap between including the new lights. Also want to see more tools with redlithium usb such as the ryobi usb lithium tools, only better. Only milwaukke lights is getting a bit bland for what you can do withbthem. Also missing a dedicated battery bank that fits 3 or 6 usb redlithium batteries for discharging at 5 and 12 V at 60-100 watts and recharge at 30-45 watts with usb c and 12 V barrel socket and maybe an xt60 connector socket for solar charging and a built in 12V milwaukee battery socket that is compatble with a 12 V milwaukee charging bay.
Also would be nice if we had a better redlithium battery design, similar tonryobi that supported both high output discharge pins and usb c technology. And have redlium tools that support the batteries. Of which my biggest wish is a universal screwdriver that works woth redlithium usb one or two batteries removable for a 4-8 volt barrel/pistoolgreep ratcheting screwdriver for both light and heavy duty work in the home that can span tasks between delecate microelectronics screws, to normal screw fasnters in the home and light heavy duty fastners in hardwood tasks, as maybe also higher rpms to function as a drempel tool. Offline manual use as a normal.screw drover for occasional delicate manual taks but that we still can access reversible ratcheting function, all in a light and ergonomic convenient package.A s2cond tool I would like to see is a 4V redlithium adapter where we can combine 3 or 6 batteries to make one 3 or 6 Ah 12 V battery, with usb c charging/discharging support.
When do the flannels release? HomeDepot shows OOS
OPT has them. That’s where I bought mine. Check their website or call them.
Yes i could read Milwakee
Great show
Ryobi should remember. Once you go black, you’ll never go back.
I think that was the worry. Going to black tools diminishes the most distinct part of their branding. That would be a REALLY hard sell to anyone in RYOBI's C-suite I would guess.
Why nobody talking about new Milwaukee plug in testers?
Black it looks much better
Much more for a man doing diy
I mean no disrespect but I always thought Rob and Sarah were a couple. 🤷🏻♂️
You’re not alone. Sarah and I have worked together for going on 9 years. We only started dating last Nov. We’re incredibly happy. It wasn’t planned or expected, but our relationship is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, I don’t deserve her, and will work the rest of my life to earn the affection she freely gives.
@DJN4CER don't feel alone, I always thought the same!!! Shocked to find out different!
@@ToolShowyou’re extremely fortunate to have found someone who shares the same interests and hobbies as you. You’re in a very rare situation where your significant other gets you and understands you. I wish the two of you nothing but the best and years of continued happiness.
@@ToolShownot to rant but it takes a ton of guts to share your personal emotions and experiences on your platform.
i would rock black ryobi
I can tell the fax Milwaukee battery buy the texture on the battery. Looks more flat
that shirt said it was made in pakistan so they 100% had someone else make it and slap their label on it because as far as im aware they dont have any factories there and what they did is no different than a youtuber making a higer quality shirt.
No, I don't think they hired 100s of seamstresses. They naturally hired a company to assemble the shirts. That's pretty typical, especially considering they're a low-volume seller. Buy their team (which we met) did all of the research, found lots of fabric options, tried countless fabrics and designs on actual jobsites, and designed a shirt they feel deserves to wear the badge "Nothing but Heavy Duty". The team that designed this shirt is insanely proud of what they've made, and stand behind it.
No, UA-camrs don't have teams of designers developing better clothing. They buy whatever the clothing company offers, and puts their logo on it. Not at all the same as what Milwaukee is doing here.
I'd still only buy milwaukee but maybe I'd consider an off tool if they were black. Green looks like a toy
I also have the Star Wars card
Ryobi-
If green goes then so do I 👍
KEEP THE GREEN!!!
we can all say thank you to ebay for not banning the sellers that sells clone batteries or car parts on ebay when you report them. stay away from ebay at all costs unless you want to find out the hard way like i did
Yes, to Ryobi going to black, that green is ugly and looks cheap, the color alone would stop me from owning them. Some may say that the color doesn't matter to them, but I doubt that's true for most people. The new Milwaukee is on my list just waiting for my local dealer to get them in next week.
Nice Vid! (Miss Sarah)
Sarah or riot.
Hello Rob 🙂
❤
I would never rely on Ryobi tools on a jobsite, nor for my own hobbies or side work. I used them a long time ago as I needed a cheap kit for a side job, it was a waste of money and I would never trust that junk again. Do not buy Ryobi, it's a terrible product.
I would be curious if there is a change from “a long time ago” to today. But I’m not here to disagree, I primarily use Milwaukee tools, with the odd exception if something is considered best in class or worth deviating (Festool and Bosch sanders for example). I picked up a plug-in Ryobi pressure washer 10 years ago and it is still going strong. Convinced me to give other outdoor Ryobi tools a try and they’ve performed well without any reliability issues.
@@jessegoodpasture438 It’s certainly possible. Back when I tried their stuff I was out of town on a job that fell into my lap and didn’t have my DeWalt tools with me. I ended up having to go buy a DeWalt kit to get the job done. I’m sure the tools are much improved from back then, but I am a creature of habit, so to speak. I usually don’t give companies a second chance, my ignorance I suppose.
Wait aren't the two hosts married?
Who buys the most tools? Grown men. Do grown men like neon green or black? BLACK.
Ryobi on a job site ? If you're a "professional" and you want low quality, uneconomical to repair, disposable Chinese tools simply buy Milwaukee, colour is not consideration for professionals !
New Milwaukee tools? Meh, New Ryobi tools?? Are you serious why does anyone car about ryobi news.. and harbour freight?? Sorry sir I have never heard of that brand.
People who own ryobi's don't care about Ryobi
Most people don't realize the same Chinese company owns both Ryobi and Milwaukee
Cut them both up and you see your paying for newer technologies that justify the price difference
As that technology gets cheaper it will show up in lower tiered brands.
But prove us wrong show us a cheap brand tool with The new motor technology in the Milwaukee tools coming out.
Most people don't know that being owned by the same company doesn't mean a thing.
Volkswagen owns Bugatti, does that mean when I lift the hood on a veyron, I'll see a golf engine in it?
FYI most people know tti owns both millwakee and ryobi
And Ridgid power tools, but not the cameras or propress, those are Emerson, and the batteries are interchangeable with Makita.
It's weird
I would argue that nearly everyone who watches our show regularly is well aware of who TTI is, and that they're based on SC. And they know that they produce Milwaukee, RYOBI, RIDGID (orange), HART, and a half dozen more including Hoover, Oreck and Dirt Devil. They also make Stiletto hammers (which are awesome) and Empire levels.
Better help was exposed over a year ago. there are no excuses for accepting sponsorships from them. Vet your sponsors better, a 30 second google search would have shown you that.
I did vet them. I'm aware of the FTC violation, and I'm glad they were caught, fined, and are now being watched even more closely. As a guy coming from the advertising world, using private information to help sell stuff is happening DAILY, with nearly every company you touch. It's an industry problem, not just a BH one. There are companies that get caught, rebrand, and do it all over again. BH didn't. Some people in their company made bad choices, and paid for it. I use their services, and they've been incredibly helpful to me, that's why I took the sponsorship. I appreciate your concern and feedback. If there's specific information you'd like me to see, or think I have it wrong, feel free to email me at rob at toolshow dot com and I'd love to discuss it.
