As an INTP, I repurpose my bank account as a gift - thank you Patreon! P.S. Thank you Kristin for giving the knowledge that you're happy and thriving (as per your last few videos).
Surprisingly this Christmas I will be giving gifts :-) Will be books, cosmetics, massage coupon ... the type of gift doesn't depend on me, but on their personalities ...
I used to be like the ENTJ until it dawned on me that gift giving, when done well, requires quality time and sometimes even acts of service. It involves taking the time to REALLY know that person and their interests and then surprising them with something they didn't even know they wanted or needed. It involves heavily researching their interests and finding something of quality that falls within their niche. It's actually a fun puzzle. - INTJ
I didn’t care much for being the puzzle of an Intj. At first it was flattering to get all the gifts, but then it was all mostly about them and their quest ENTP
As an INTJ, the default is to wonder why there is an exchange of gifts since we are essentially shifting around sums of money in the form of objects, but if I do genuinely want to show care by giving a gift, I will do my best to tailor a present to the recipient's interests and needs. It's annoying when people I care about give you nothing to work with and I have to resort to shift around sums of money as gift cards or cash.
The shifting around of money is basically why I asked my cousins if it is okay to just not give each other gifts, it felt like a chore trying to find something within a certain monetary frame that they might also like and since we all became moms around the same time, it was usually gift cards attached to the kids gifts and it really raised the level of absurdity. We give gifts to the kids, because they don't have their own money, and each other only if inspiration strikes. My ESTJ cousin then told me one time that she never had a nice advent calendar in her childhood, so now I make her one every year and that's the gift.- INFJ
ESTJ and I partly agree (I mean about wondering about the point of shifting around money), though in my family everyone is married (or has parents in the case of my nephews) so I can ask someone else what the person would want if I'm stumped about what to get them, and they usually have good ideas. I'm sure I'm hard to shop for though because being a typical Te dom I don't know what I want.
@thirstwithoutborders995 well how do you think money velocity works lol if everyone stopped spending money in America for 2 weeks even your cats getting margin called 🐈
i feel this one is colored by a certain depressive outlook on gift giving. as INTJ, i start thinking of christmas gifts in summer, allocate funds for them and get generally praised for the amount of thought and value of the gifts. The low amount of friends enables to focus well, which is just perfect, but it is one of the most mentally consuming tasks of my year. Very inefficient. ISTP i know likes to throw together something handmade, by using her existing skills or learning a new skill for the occasion ENTPs i know tend to agonize and panic over it last moment, but usually try to think of what the person would find useful ISFPs i know seem terrified of the very idea of gifts if there is any chance the gift might not be appreciated
"It's Christmas time? Which of my belongings can I repurpose as a gift..." I mean, it's not like INTP has a lot to choose from between her Spider-Man onesie, a mattress, a tablet and a... sly figurine
It's a toss up between the things we have because we needed them, and the gifts others have given us out of frustration because we couldn't think of anything we wanted that we didn't already get ourselves or is beyond reasonable... 🎉
My mom is an ISFJ and this is so accurate. Idk how she does it but every year she manages to find just the perfect gifts. Always so thoughtful and perfectly tailored to each person. I swear it's dark magic!
If she's like my ISFJ, she keeps an actual list of gift ideas that she comes back to regularly! If I mention I want something in passing, she'll add it to the list. I once asked how many items were on that list, and she said over a hundred. 😂😂
my mom is ISFJ too and we usually get soft and warming clothes, although I'm 30 y.o. she tries, but she is really bad at this, considering she grew up in after war times where everything was lacking
Shh!!! Don't give us away on using dark magic for perfect gift possession! It's supposed to be a secret XD Jokes aside, lovely comment and have a merry Christmas! I hope your mum will get you something wonderful this year as well ^-^
Another ENTP here... Sadly, for the past couple of years, yes, this is what it has been. But when I've been doing good I always get something useful! 😅
I’ve consistently gotten all of my family gifts, but they’re always something useless or something insulting, so they’re expectations are basically zero… I think sometimes they would prefer if I got them nothing 💀💀💀
ENTP is perfect. Lowering people’s expectations is one of the best things you can do for yourself. This way you can impress and surprise people whenever you please effortlessly
This was sooo my strategy during high school! Yes, it works and it makes people get off your case, especially family if tjey're trying to micro manage you to death, ugh. I'm an enfp tho but i guess it's close enough.
I think everyone would assume the INFJ is saying there is probably better gifts to make than buying something as an excuse to not lose money but the thing is it's genuine. Ni doms are more minimalistic than materialistic cause the Sensory functions are very low. But for INFJ at least the Feeling function is high so if you communicate that's what you're expecting they'll buy you something. It's just that the gift doesn't represent much for the INFJ over than the joy you'll have by receiving it. I know that may sound weird but that's true. They're atypical. But the INFJs should figure out by themselves pretty easily that people are expecting gifts at Christmas in general so they'll do it by respecting social conventions anyway.
Estj is so true; my grandma messages me every November 28th “give me your Christmas list with every corresponding Amazon link or you get what I give you” 😂
I like it. I've asked my siblings' spouses (or vice versa) what they would like a couple times and that usually works well, or I've gone in with someone on a gift. Sometimes I'm able to find a good gift for them on my own, but it stresses me out. - ESTJ
As an ISTP, I don't enjoy gift receiving nor giving. I can't afford to give everyone what is really meaningful to them and don't enjoy the suspense and pressure to show emotion for everything I might get. Yes, I know this is all very IxxP but it is how I am. Spot on DK. 🤷♂
Spot on: ENTJs are deliberate with how, and with whom, they choose to spend their time. Time, presence and good experiences are great intangible gifts. - ENTJ
Help Kristin you've attacked me so directly 😭 I (ISFP) give the absolute best gift when I'm randomly inspired by something I know is perfect, if that thing presents itself just screaming that person's name. That inspiration is easy to follow and people are always happy with those gifts! ...But if that doesn't happen I will probably forget to give anything at all and not think about it twice.
what? Be caught out by the sudden arrival of Christmas after the shops (if not the halls) have been fully decked since September? (sweats a little) ... *16 hours of INTP overthinking later...* ... so that's the Lego Millennium Falcon for INFP, the set of woodcarving tools I bought from ebay at 2 am and never used for for ISTP, a vintage copy of Jung's psychological types for INFJ, the Oxford dictionary I bought as a spare in case my other one falls apart for ESTJ, the treatise on Japanese woodblock prints of the Edo period for ISFP, and the Hello Kitty oven gloves for ... no, wait ... I need to start again ...
We do Secret Santa in my family so I know it's a huge advantage to just have to think about one person instead of five, and yet... I'm quite thankful I got the ISTP this year. An envelope filled with a couple of bills will do. Sure, I could have given one of my books away too, but I did that already for his birthday so...
As an ISTP, I can willingly say nothing. Not because I don't want to, but because I'm broke as heck and have so many friends that I could give gifts to that it's not even worth it trying to get (or make) them all something XDD great job on this because ENTP right there was hilariously accurate. My brother (as ENTP as you can get) surprised us all by choosing to get Christmas gifts for me and my other brother, along with some of his friends. Like wow. He seriously had our expectations low. Great job as always Kristen!
ENTP-ISFJ: dedication (to different goals) INTP-ESFJ: calculated (for self v. for others) INFP-ESTJ: whatever is easiest (lack of time v. lack of response) ENFP-ISTJ: nothing (unintentional v. intentional) ENFJ-ISTP: nothing (perceived v. actual) INFJ-ESTP: it's the thought that counts (nothing) NTJ-SFP: nothing
As an INTP with OK-ish Si and Fe, I could store a mental list of what my friends and family members want...but I usually don't because #1, I have almost no money and Mom would destroy me if I spent it on anything that's "unproductive"; #2, I only have one friend who lives near my house. So instead, I prefer to give drawings, send letters, or do activities like video games or D&D.
Her istp is hilarious... I love getting close people gifts every year. But that's not necessarily my family..❤ The stereotype is mostly accurate.. I love getting people gifts but not out of obligation. I consider family an obligation. 😂
Well, I'm and ISFP and I always start buying and thinking about gifts around September. I remember what the people I like like (hobby, style, movie, series, fragrance, type of gifts or at least favorite color) so i keep it in mind when picking it.
As an INTJ I made it a habbit that every year: -On Christmas I give something carefully planned for my mother and partner. Usually I have everything done in August or September -On New Year's Eve I'm with my partner and my best friend -On Valentine's day I give homemade chocolate for partner and best friend -On my best friend's birthday I give him handmade anime plushies -On my mother's birthday I give her something surprising + I am baking her a cake and hosting a small party -On my partner's birthday I give him unholy amount of homemade sweets + some gift I also had a formula for my other best friend, but she is not talking to me anymore, so my formula is gone. But I have a formula on basically every event possible. And it always works. This way I don't waste time, nerves and energy and I am still able to make my loved ones happy.
INTJ here. I just gave some gifts start of december. I thought that was enough, but my INFP woman..... thing... demanded we do gift exchange because it's very meaningful to her. So, here we are. Almost Christmas, and of course I got the best gifts anyone could wish for.
Before I had kids I (ISFP) would make homemade gifts that would get used up (soaps, bath salts, etc) since no one really needs more stuff and I didn’t want to go to stores. Then I’d wrap the gifts in brown paper grocery bags and tie string on it so it would look like a present. Now I use their wishlists, but if I find someone’s wishlist boring I wait around (without going shopping) to get inspired and inevitably end up buying them something from the grocery store a few days before Christmas. I still wrap gifts in grocery bags.
I find that adults have their own money to purchase things that they want and as such anything in the reasonable gift price range that they would actually want, they either already have, or could simply buy with the reasonable gift budget they would spend on me, so I just avoid the issue by convincing my family not to get me anything and also not getting them anything. This solution also avoids the annoying custom of pretending you like the gifts people give you and trying to find something which won't be useless clutter to give to people every year, and perhaps the thing I find most annoying the social expectation that you must get people gifts on this one particular day just because, a gift should be a voluntary thing not a result of peer pressure. Unsurprisingly I have also concluded I should never be in a relationship with someone with gifts as a major love language.
My family actually feels similarly, so when I was growing up, the kids got specific gifts from their lists but all the adults instead would do a white elephant thing where everyone got a nice gift that a lot of different people might like, and played the game so everyone left with something nice but nothing that was specifically for them lol
Poor INFP, having to give away her puppy as a last minute present... Not that she received any credit for it afterwards. The Happiest of holidays, Kristin! 🎁🎄♥️
Ok, as an INFP, this is how I know for sure that ESTJ is our shadow side. The ESTJ was literally me chastising my family earlier about how we weren't getting s*** done in a timely manner, lol. I made it up to them later by offering them cookies. In fact, I think Christmas is the only time of year my two sides converge and I totally have my s*** together while still putting my personal touch into every part of the holiday. I guess that's what happens when an INFP is motivated and doing something that makes us happy!
I think that's true, that infps and isfps work surprisingly hard on the things they care about and it might not actually feel like work. Also as an ESTJ I can confirm we can be placated with cookies.
First time I relate to isfp but if I see something that reminds me of you I will buy it as a Christmas present and give it to you in June (late or in advance).I don't believe in gift giving to satisfy social norms, inspired gift giving means more imo (unless you are an xsfj I care about then I'll try my best on your birthday). - infp
This is pretty accurate being an INFP! I do care about giving people good presents, but I am the worst procrastinator so I usually wind up giving a last minute okay gift to everyone lol. Something I want to work on in the future!
I am not even whatever type for this, but I have 6ppl I focus on each year, make cards in their favourite colour using the animals and other things they like, curate presents, and also have notes about them. Mostly because I forget things though. So I think my surprise are a mess. If only my "aspie" was not potentially making it difficult to type myself.......
I'm an ISTP whose love language is gift-giving - in a strange twist of fate, proving that God has a sense of humor. So I'm totally out of stereotype for my personality - but I honestly enjoy thinking about, buying, & giving gifts to my kids. My ex is an ISFJ (I think) & she really put a damper on my gift-giving appetites - she was very frugal/thrifty. So now, we're still friends & I am unrestricted in my gift- giving to the kids, haha.
You Jingle Bell rock, Kristin! Congrats on the 57k! I was gonna say the ISFJ's sugar cookies in the thumbnail looked delicious, and then saw it was the same cookie on the gift bag, and my taste didn't change. I like the taste of paper, especially when it helps me sing Linkin Park after licking with my homemade lipstick...oh, wait, wrong holiday, that's...I get confused because of Nightmare Before Christmas, and while I think "What's this?" can be utilized for Christmas, I'm, well, no one can be as pretty as..oh, wait, was gonna say "no one could be as pretty as" whatever type showed up first, but uh, just clicked for a second, and pretty sure the ENTP's response isn't gonna be nearly as pretty as the actress performing as her....point is, my gift to all fellow nerds out there is that: Nightmare Before Christmas is definitively a Halloween movie because the theme about humbly knowing your lane, gratitude for your gifts is more of a..oh, wait, forgot to answer your question.... I have to re-watch your, imo, 10/10 16 Personalities Answering Uncomfortable questions. Did flattery get me Ne-where? Hey, I wouldn't give that rating if I didn't mean it, and when I use ratings I put sincere analysis thought into them as opposed to fluff feelings come and go, except for your "16 Personalities Kidnapping Me" being my all time favorite skit from any creator, which I also rated that highly! and if I recall correctly, didn't people here help in the process of, I mean, you guys are the absolutely greatest let me tell you...I.am.not.stalling! That is just...Here's the thing... I can't let anyone know what gifts I'm buying them because hold the phone and say, hello, are we forgetting, won't somebody pleeez think of the children, since there's this fine gentleman named Santa Claus whose wife bakes him delicious lookig cookies like in your thumbnail, and.....oh, man, if anyone discovered the types of comments I write, it's because, it's, I do it for them, you know, the whole superhero thing protecting my loved ones! I'm no hero though. I just got a lot of great gifts for a lot of people....but, I..am...no...hero.... ENTP: did you order this in a certain way, Kristin, after the response to your last video about ENTP's attention span? lol INTP: Gift of the Magi that hair, why dontcha? ENFP: ISFJ and INTJ are the types you backed from the beginning, correct? Not only were you boldly going against the Champion type, but Angelic Champions! Angels are minds without bodies. I love your ENFPs, not as much as... ESTP: Not this Se-Dom...I am interested in what Brad is up to though. ESTJ: I take full responsibility...and gift it to the next... ISTP: your welcome! ESFJ: Merry Meticulous Magnificence! You even change your hair for all of these! You're the best. I gotta go.... get to my favorite... INFJ: haha...funny, but...not the funniest... ESFP: Never mind that, in comparison to angelic ENFPs, ESFPs are bodies without minds, meaning models for anything but Sainthood, which includes angels like St. Gabriel! Hark the Herald the Angels sing is in my top all time favorite songs besides "What's This?"...err not that you used that song but it kinda sounded like it. I think about it because of Charlie Brown Christmas Special, which I originally started thinking about again back in 2020, when it was no longer airing on tv, which got me watching the Charlie Brown Mayflower episode when it was on tv and...uh oh...Merry Christmas Dear Kristin! doo do doo do doo dooo dooo doo! The motto for an incredible ESFP! Your present is a gift. ok, gonna break the fourth wall like my favorite ESFP in the 16 personalities write a greeting card (I love that one so much...chef's kiss!), to answer your question Sincerely, I must re-watch your 16 Personalities Answering Uncomfortable questions because I'm feeling like the Linkin Park song "Papercut", which, by the way, after your INFP ranker one, I sincerely, put in a list of, imo, 10/10s...oh, will you look at the time...cuz I can't. I "Gift of the Magi" my watch!" jk...I'm giving my godson a swingset. He's a little angel. Hope you have a light-filled peaceful Christmas with your loved ones. And, if an INFJ reads this, please know my commentary is just a running gag....speaking of which..gotta go! Oh, wait, Kristin! I think you shine with direct simplicity like this. It makes skits more universal enduring for all time imo! You're a light in this world! =)
Lmao, I’m INFJ, but ESFP is such a mood. (Maybe I’d vocalize the INFJ opinion, but secretly mean the ESFP one. 💀💀💀) Also, yeesh, that ENFJ is savage. Haha
Dear Kristin, Hip Hip Hooray! 0:04 I think we've known to expect a lot coming from you, and will be expecting a lot more when you turn 30 again next year when your actual age starts to match your INTJ intellectual age, age of any ISFJ hobbies, and any age of ENFP and ISTP cartons of milk you haven't thrown out where you'll be more ENTJ powerful than before! 3:15 🕯1 candle to represent you being number 1. You're the best. Happy Birthday, Kristin. God bless you. Thank you so much for your gifts from your generous loving hilarious healing heart! Grateful for your videos and podcasts as means to share a fraction of your wisdom. P.S. If anyone sees this, it's Kristin's Birthday and I was referencing her 16 Personalities Turning 30 skit where you'll Se, Kristin's ESFP character...well, my favorite character of hers at least! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas with your loved ones! 🎄🎁
@@quoeppel Could be, but no. My sister is an ENFP. She's barely noticed she needs a purse. She doesn't even look at purses or handbags when we go shopping, to kind of see which one she could buy. I've got her a small, neutral purse with a bit of personality. Plus, I'll give her a couple of little surprises
Asante ENFP I regularly used to complete the majority of my Xmas shopping Christmas eve night...now I just stockpile gifts throughout the year and assign them to people when the time comes.
I don't necessarily celebrate Christmas, but I like giving gifts.. like I LIKE giving gifts. It's so well known in my environment to the point that if I give a gift that seems random/I don't put much thought into it, people will understand that what I'm trying to say is "Lol I don't really care abt you, but I feel bad if I don't give you a gift, so have this" Sometimes I keep my friends bday in a book, I constantly check it, and I'll brainstorming a gift for them a month prior, it lets my Ne and Si work together -Infp
This year, I bought all the gifts for my family yesterday and I chose a book (INTP), a geek mug (INTP), a couple of fancy soaps (ESTJ) and a thing my brother asked for (he's also born in December). I absolutly don't know what they will get for (I'm a bit scared and dissillusioned). It's getting harder and harder to find the perfect Christmas gift... and I'm INFJ, I can't read minds. I guess my bigger gift would be my presence.
Those sound like good gifts, although if the soap is shaped like a butterfly or whatever they get deformed after you use them for a while. I'm ESTJ and have started asking the person's spouse (or parent for my nephews) when I'm stumped and that works pretty well. Also now two people in my (big) family get a calendar every year.
I got a little heart attack because I thought I didn't buy train tickets yet and because I need to do some laundry before I can spend a week away from home.
INTJ here; I could relate a lot to the INTP and ENTJ portrayals, aside from that of my own type, of course! I'm frugal (often to the point of being called miserly), I'm watchful about whom I spend my time with and I strongly believe that time is money.
I have a stash of items that I pick up throughout the year, particularly when they're on sale. Often, I don't have a specific person in mind, but if I have a friend who's into cats, say, I'll think of them when I see a nifty cat-themed object and save it for their birthday or the holidays, whichever happens first. This is much easier than realizing the day before a gifting event that I have to think of something to get them. Too much pressure. ~INTP
@mandarinadreux9572 one does need to guard against hoarder tendencies, but I don't consider the items "useless." It may sound a little cynical to put it in this way, but I do get some value out of having gifts to give friends and family. The key is the curating process.
Knowing my mum, ESFJ is right to the point! And let me add that she also remembers what kind of jewellery and accessories her friends have or don't have so she would get them something matching the colours they wear or missing to make a perfect outfit. As for me, (ISFJ living my life like a stereotypical INTP) I don't go shopping, but I craft some drawing of my dear ones favourite character of a story or their pet and give it to them. Or if I know they love something like some scent in candles etc, or if they need something tangible, I get them one of those. For the mental needs, as comfort and conversations, they have me there for them every day. But a present they can use and enjoy, I can't afford every day.
Mine (ISFP) are typically things that can be consumed and made for a whole family instead of an individual gift, like cookies or chocolate. If they don’t like sweets, then i’ll go with savoury stuff instead, like pickles and preserves ( if I know they like them).
MUCH BETTER!!! 🙂 Thanks for the content. And again it fits very well👍 Not celebrating christmas or meeting anyone for the holidays as prefered and therefore no gifts needed. Cheers from that ISTP fangirl ;)
INTJ: I actually did get some people gifts for Christmas this year. This was an exceptional circumstance that I didn't expect, but I wound up raiding Waterstones to buy them books that I thought would be useful for them, and supplies useful for them. They were actually quite happy with them though. :D
True for me (ENFP is my top one) though I also pull an ENFJ. And lately I've been finding that people feel loved and noticed when you give them something that helps solve a problem in their life, so I'm doing that this year. Though I haven't ordered it yet, and Christmas is 4 days away. My bro identifies as an ISFP, and he actually does get gifts on time, ones he chooses as surprises for others based on what he knows they like.
I hope things are going well on your side, Christine. Take a good rest and come back if you feel like it. Your wellbeing should be the top priority, and I bet many others feel so, too.
As an INTJ I hate exchanging gifts but I love to give gifts to those close to me so i like to give a birthday gift for instance. it has to be practical for the person and also something related to them that I know they love. And I hate recieving or giving something that is not personal like money or gift cards it's offensive you don't have to give me money for gift if you don't know me at all.
Merry Last Day of Christmas, Kristin! Yesterday, my friend asked about you having a new video! Since you usually update us, I figured maybe you were just busy with your new amazing family, work, or hopefully having a good fun break, and hopefully, all is well, and maybe you wanted more breathing room for more attention for Christmas celebration with this skit and your extroversion/introversion poll (my friend laughed at the options when I read them!), or, if you were ill, you were concerned about worrying people or bringing people down, which could never be the case from someone so awesome as you....err for me, you know your people, and I wanna see you get 57.6 million subscribers! Or maybe all your supporters were updated, and I'd know if I subscribed not being a cheapbutt, so I can see that 16 Personalities as Halloween skits...and the other ones as well! But...I love Halloween... Congrats on the 57.6K subscribers! Hope you, Andrew, and your family had a Happy Feast of the Epiphany. Prayed for you at Mass yesterday and in my Rosary.
I’m an ISTJ and I asked our work Secret Santa organizer to rig it so I would get my friend, and INFJ. She ended up just giving us each other and my friend is being so funny about it because she loves to give people gifts, but: -she told me she had me 10 seconds after finding out -she keeps giving me updates about the shipping status of the gifts -she literally already told me what two of the presents are I don’t think she understands the secret part of it? In the meantime, I have shared that I rigged it and that her last gift should arrive tomorrow. And that’s it.
Thinking of my ISTJ dad, I'm guessing you probably didn't tell her "it's supposed to be secret" for a reason. He hates surprises. Rigging the Secret Santa. Nice work :)
INFP here! I love to go shopping in the shops at Christmas, but I spend my time strolling around, watching the Christmas decorations and listen Christmas music. At the end of the day, I realize that I did not buy anything as gifts for my family! 😅
I'm just waiting for "16 personalities as content creators versus planes." But then again, almost every end of the video we have Kristin not quite breaking out of character as she mentions (what I'd assume is) her worse enemy.
Dear Kristin! I don't know if you'll post tomorrow, so I wish you today... A very Happy Birthday in advance! I have my birthday tomorrow as well! I wished you last year when you posted the video, you hearted the post and I still have it saved with me! Thank you so much and once again a Happy Birthday to you!
@@danieschenkekraft7199 ❤Thank you so much you're the first and only person to wish!!!! My friends don't seem to remember I guess, I hope they do when they see me, but yes Thank you, truly means a lot!!!❤

As an INTP, I repurpose my bank account as a gift - thank you Patreon!
P.S. Thank you Kristin for giving the knowledge that you're happy and thriving (as per your last few videos).
Nothing or a last minute gift that they will probably complain about later or food
ah duck I completely forgot about that
Permission to relax and do whatever they fancy over the holidays - within reason!
Surprisingly this Christmas I will be giving gifts :-) Will be books, cosmetics, massage coupon ... the type of gift doesn't depend on me, but on their personalities ...

My INTJ husband is really good at doing exactly what you described also!
Totally agree
We INTJ can be passionate and thoughtful if someone/something worth it..
My INTJ friend usually just tells me to be thankful he didn't destroy me this year.
My sister works pretty hard on giving people good gifts, she also expects gifts she receives to be decent and will let you know if they're not.
I didn’t care much for being the puzzle of an Intj. At first it was flattering to get all the gifts, but then it was all mostly about them and their quest
ENTP
As an INTJ, the default is to wonder why there is an exchange of gifts since we are essentially shifting around sums of money in the form of objects, but if I do genuinely want to show care by giving a gift, I will do my best to tailor a present to the recipient's interests and needs. It's annoying when people I care about give you nothing to work with and I have to resort to shift around sums of money as gift cards or cash.
Okay how about this, you give me 25 bucks for Christmas and I'll give you 25 bucks, we call it even. Till next year
The shifting around of money is basically why I asked my cousins if it is okay to just not give each other gifts, it felt like a chore trying to find something within a certain monetary frame that they might also like and since we all became moms around the same time, it was usually gift cards attached to the kids gifts and it really raised the level of absurdity.
Exactly exactly
@thirstwithoutborders995 well how do you think money velocity works lol if everyone stopped spending money in America for 2 weeks even your cats getting margin called 🐈
I loved the Si Ni difference between ESFJ and ENFJ here
I love when she does stuff like that. She’s really, really good at highlighting differences like that.
Yeah because that's Sensory vs Intuitive differences and she's a Sensor. Really nice job.
oof the INFP hit a little too close to home in this one lmao
i feel this one is colored by a certain depressive outlook on gift giving.
as INTJ, i start thinking of christmas gifts in summer, allocate funds for them and get generally praised for the amount of thought and value of the gifts. The low amount of friends enables to focus well, which is just perfect, but it is one of the most mentally consuming tasks of my year. Very inefficient.
ISTP i know likes to throw together something handmade, by using her existing skills or learning a new skill for the occasion
ENTPs i know tend to agonize and panic over it last moment, but usually try to think of what the person would find useful
ISFPs i know seem terrified of the very idea of gifts if there is any chance the gift might not be appreciated
"It's Christmas time? Which of my belongings can I repurpose as a gift..."
I mean, it's not like INTP has a lot to choose from between her Spider-Man onesie, a mattress, a tablet and a... sly figurine
Haha I've lost that figurine :(

@@jashepoon There's all the unopened gifts from precedent years people offered them, though.
😂 Flashback to the moving day video! I love it!
ISFJ moms are the best 🥲
my mom is ISFJ too and we usually get soft and warming clothes, although I'm 30 y.o.
she tries, but she is really bad at this, considering she grew up in after war times where everything was lacking
Shh!!! Don't give us away on using dark magic for perfect gift possession! It's supposed to be a secret XD
Jokes aside, lovely comment and have a merry Christmas!
I hope your mum will get you something wonderful this year as well ^-^
XSFJs are the best on this terrain.
No competition
Darn Kristin, your ENTP representation is so accurate here that’s amusing and a little scary. Well done! 💜🤗👍
ENTP here. Didn't get them anything last two years 😂. Love em though.
Agreed. Though that's for holidays. The last wedding I attended I used the "my present is my presence."
Another ENTP here... Sadly, for the past couple of years, yes, this is what it has been. But when I've been doing good I always get something useful! 😅
I’ve consistently gotten all of my family gifts, but they’re always something useless or something insulting, so they’re expectations are basically zero… I think sometimes they would prefer if I got them nothing 💀💀💀
hello fellow ENTP's, don't forget that they should earn it in the rare case you do decide to be (their) present.
Spot on DK. 🤷♂
From an ENTJ: I ask them, "Is there anything in particular you want?" If they say no, I give them nothing.
Spot on: ENTJs are deliberate with how, and with whom, they choose to spend their time. Time, presence and good experiences are great intangible gifts. - ENTJ
I only give gifts to my family and few friends.... And it's always thoughtful.... -INFJ
INTP is so dead on accurate for me - I repurposed unused items of mine as gifts that I originally bought for myself 💀
ISTJ - "How do i put this? You don't get a gift." damn
(sweats a little)
...
*16 hours of INTP overthinking later...*
... so that's the Lego Millennium Falcon for INFP, the set of woodcarving tools I bought from ebay at 2 am and never used for for ISTP, a vintage copy of Jung's psychological types for INFJ, the Oxford dictionary I bought as a spare in case my other one falls apart for ESTJ, the treatise on Japanese woodblock prints of the Edo period for ISFP, and the Hello Kitty oven gloves for ... no, wait ... I need to start again ...
Very good choice for INFP, I approve !
A secret santa gift exchange video with the 16 personality types would be hilarious I think!
Whenever I went shopping in this year, if something caught my eye, I bought it. So I had a collection of gifts for my family before December. 😁
ENTP-ISFJ: dedication (to different goals)
INTP-ESFJ: calculated (for self v. for others)
INFP-ESTJ: whatever is easiest (lack of time v. lack of response)
ENFP-ISTJ: nothing (unintentional v. intentional)
ENFJ-ISTP: nothing (perceived v. actual)
INFJ-ESTP: it's the thought that counts (nothing)
NTJ-SFP: nothing
As an INTP, I relate to the INTP, the ISTP, the ISTJ, and a bit to the INTJ as well.
So accurate for both me, an INFJ, and my ENFP husband 🤣 Merry Christmas! 🎄
As an ISTP, I swear I'll just give them like 10 bucks.
or a gift card
As an INTJ I made it a habbit that every year:
-On Christmas I give something carefully planned for my mother and partner. Usually I have everything done in August or September
-On New Year's Eve I'm with my partner and my best friend
-On Valentine's day I give homemade chocolate for partner and best friend
-On my best friend's birthday I give him handmade anime plushies
-On my mother's birthday I give her something surprising + I am baking her a cake and hosting a small party
-On my partner's birthday I give him unholy amount of homemade sweets + some gift
I also had a formula for my other best friend, but she is not talking to me anymore, so my formula is gone.
But I have a formula on basically every event possible. And it always works. This way I don't waste time, nerves and energy and I am still able to make my loved ones happy.
Loved the parallel between the ESFJ and ENFJ! The aux Si vs Ni was on point there!
As an ENTP, I can confirm this to be accurate.
INTJ here. I just gave some gifts start of december. I thought that was enough, but my INFP woman..... thing... demanded we do gift exchange because it's very meaningful to her.
So, here we are. Almost Christmas, and of course I got the best gifts anyone could wish for.
Are you sure you're an intj? You don't seem like much of a planner, I'd guess intp, seeing how you describe the woman thing.
Ha! I’m done with Christmas shopping this year! (Now who did I forget?)
Poor INFP, having to give away her puppy as a last minute present... Not that she received any credit for it afterwards. The Happiest of holidays, Kristin! 🎁🎄♥️
What's up infj
I was expecting some sad piano to go with the puppy but...
As an INTJ raised by an ISFJ I struggled to summon my inferior Se to pay attention to what my mom wants. But mostly I just ask them what they want.
Same, Word for word. But ISFJ Mom don't really answer that.
ISTJ = accurately describes what I got from my ISTJ husband last year. . . and the year before. . . and the year before that. . .
The inspiration one is accurate probably for way more people! Great video as always Kristin
Merry Christmas, Kristin! I hope you have a super fun time. Cheers!
That ESFP LOL 😂
First time I relate to isfp but if I see something that reminds me of you I will buy it as a Christmas present and give it to you in June (late or in advance).I don't believe in gift giving to satisfy social norms, inspired gift giving means more imo (unless you are an xsfj I care about then I'll try my best on your birthday). - infp
ENFP here: Too often it’s a printed out picture of what I ordered for them that’s arriving late because of waiting too long to order.
As an istp i'm crocheting smth for my mom + sister, no else is getting anything lol
This is pretty accurate being an INFP! I do care about giving people good presents, but I am the worst procrastinator so I usually wind up giving a last minute okay gift to everyone lol. Something I want to work on in the future!
Even the ISTP arm-crossing is on point
I’m an ESTJ and my family have had a running joke for years now that all my gifts are “feedback”
Intj
I pick up things through the year. I send a mix of sentimental and useful items
As INTJ I just ask people to send me wish list, then I buy it on Amazon in gift wrapping and name tags and done.
ENTP: did you order this in a certain way, Kristin, after the response to your last video about ENTP's attention span? lol
INTP: Gift of the Magi that hair, why dontcha?
Your present is a gift.
ok, gonna break the fourth wall like my favorite ESFP in the 16 personalities write a greeting card (I love that one so much...chef's kiss!), to answer your question Sincerely,
I must re-watch your 16 Personalities Answering Uncomfortable questions because I'm feeling like the Linkin Park song "Papercut", which, by the way, after your INFP ranker one, I sincerely, put in a list of, imo, 10/10s...oh, will you look at the time...cuz I can't.
Also, yeesh, that ENFJ is savage. Haha
Dear Kristin,
Hip Hip Hooray!
My sister gave me a wishlist... but she needs a purse more than anything on that list, so that's what I am getting her
-A caring ESTJ sister 😊
That's very sweet of you.
But maybe the purse is not on her wishlist because she wants to choose on her own which one she likes.
@@danielabenitez1264 OK, I see. Now I understand the situation better, thank you! That's really nice of you! Have a great christmas with your sister!
@@quoeppel thanks! Merry Christmas to you!🎄
Asante ENFP I regularly used to complete the majority of my Xmas shopping Christmas eve night...now I just stockpile gifts throughout the year and assign them to people when the time comes.
Missing your vids and looking forward to seeing your next. Hope you had a great Christmas and New year
I don't necessarily celebrate Christmas, but I like giving gifts.. like I LIKE giving gifts.
It's so well known in my environment to the point that if I give a gift that seems random/I don't put much thought into it, people will understand that what I'm trying to say is "Lol I don't really care abt you, but I feel bad if I don't give you a gift, so have this"
Sometimes I keep my friends bday in a book, I constantly check it, and I'll brainstorming a gift for them a month prior, it lets my Ne and Si work together
-Infp
lol I loved the outfits in this video 😂 So accurate
How do you nail every single one of them so well? You really listen to your community :-) My favourite MBTI UA-camr!
As an INTP, I genuinely didn't notice how close Christmas is until I watched the INTP bit.
I got a little heart attack because I thought I didn't buy train tickets yet and because I need to do some laundry before I can spend a week away from home.
ENFP is so freaking accurate!
Oof, so many bad gift givers! The ENFJ's gambling-addicted therapist cracked me up.
INTJ - whether ESTJ, ISTJ, ISTP or ISFP... none of my beloved folks ever complained about CASH. 😂 Except if they consider it "too much".
I'm an ENFP whose love language is gift giving, so I related to the ESFJ lol
You’re amazing Kristin! You can imitate all the types so well now!
I get very happy to see I'm know familiar with your clothes 😂❤🎉 this reassures me I didn't miss any of your videos.
~INTP
Very smart, but I'd hate all the clutter of stuff that's useless to me (enfp)
I have never bought a gift for my friends but they still are my friends. ISTP charm, I guess...
Can we get this talented woman 100k subscribers! Come on team!
As a ENTP I can tell you now I have been doing this my WHOLE LIFE! NO JOKE!
merry christmas 🎉
Omg, hilarious. I'm an ENFJ and this is true ~ spreadsheets are my guiding light, LOL.
There is a simple solution to this problem, ask them what they want, and simply get it. If they don't know, simply pester them or get them nothing.
Oh I wish it was this easy. My mom will tell me what she wants, I'll get it any it will absolutely be the wrong thing
I always try to sleuth out at least one gift I know they would like but haven't directly told me they wanted to surprise them. (ENFJ)
As an INFJ and former ENFJ this is very accurate ime.
I hope things are going well on your side, Christine. Take a good rest and come back if you feel like it. Your wellbeing should be the top priority, and I bet many others feel so, too.
The infp one is so accurate 😭
She ended up just giving us each other and my friend is being so funny about it because she loves to give people gifts, but:
-she told me she had me 10 seconds after finding out
-she keeps giving me updates about the shipping status of the gifts
-she literally already told me what two of the presents are
I don’t think she understands the secret part of it?
In the meantime, I have shared that I rigged it and that her last gift should arrive tomorrow. And that’s it.
Thinking of my ISTJ dad, I'm guessing you probably didn't tell her "it's supposed to be secret" for a reason. He hates surprises.
Rigging the Secret Santa. Nice work :)
INFP here! I love to go shopping in the shops at Christmas, but I spend my time strolling around, watching the Christmas decorations and listen Christmas music. At the end of the day, I realize that I did not buy anything as gifts for my family! 😅
"I'll probably go shopping later"
True. And if I don't know you enough I WILL ask your friends and family what I should buy.
It seems like I always inevitably lose a gift, wrap a gift wrong or give something that ends up being a burden to someone...*sigh*.
Dude your outfits are amazing ❤
I'm just waiting for "16 personalities as content creators versus planes." But then again, almost every end of the video we have Kristin not quite breaking out of character as she mentions (what I'd assume is) her worse enemy.
Spot on for the ENFP!!!🤣
The infj dress is soooo pretty!! :o
Love your videos, you are great for the Mbti community- an Infp 😊
Dear Kristin! I don't know if you'll post tomorrow, so I wish you today... A very Happy Birthday in advance! I have my birthday tomorrow as well!
