    I really dont understand anti-vaxxers. Vaccines saved so many lives & are proven to be safe, especially under such strict standarts we have nowadays.

      One excuse is that they get into a dumb "chicken and egg" confusion in that how vaccinations have helped reduce disease significantly, then the anti-vaxxers get it into their heads that they are not needed because the diseases are not significant now.

      @Belvidere Bradley Depends on the vaccine: sometimes it contains live, but weakened virus, and sometimes dead, as components, but it does not change the fact that vaccination is a proven medical technique that has protected millions of lives; as opposed to twits who resort childish names.

    My aunt is an antivaxxer. She calls herself a doctor (she's a chiropractor) and uses her "authority" in arguments. When I was in highschool, I wrote a paper that debunked most antivaxxer claims. @@MomoKunDaYo No. CDC uses scientific papers and come to conclusions based on them. There's a lot of scientific literature and a whole system that is reviewing (peer review) every shared paper. The person above as stated used the citations as you should, what we call ''primary sources'' or, scientific papers.
      Listening to a chiropractor who isn't using any citations at all and takes her whatever degree as source IS the appeal to authority fallacy. Do not be confused, its literature on the one hand vs people who claim nonsense on the other

    My mom said she first noticed my brother’s autism after he got his first vaccinations. She had this amazing explanation for it; The ages at which young boys show their first signs are often the ages where they qualify for their first shots. On top of that: (and this next bit applies to everyone with autism, of every degree, age and gender) *Autism is most notable when the person who has it is put in a stressful situation.* Often, a vaccination, its pain and possible after effects will be exactly that stressful situation that reveals the underlying differences of the kid.
    So, no causation there. It’s all a myth.
    And even if it wasn’t I’d rather have an autistic kid than a kid with a deadly virus.

    When someone got an infection and recovered naturally... Do they need to be vaccinated after that... If yes, then how vaccines are inducing stronger immune response than a live virus infection? 🤔

    • @brimstone1355
      @brimstone1355 3 роки тому +1

      Because viruses mutate. After enough mutations a new strain of that same virus is created. You are only immune to the strain of the virus you got

    • @EfHaichDee
      @EfHaichDee 3 роки тому +4

      Vaccines are usually carefully designed to induce a strong immune response. They're formulated that way. It's not a guarantee that the person won't get sick, but it helps ensure that if they are infected, the immune system can mount an attack before the illness can take a strong hold.
      The risk with waiting to get a disease is that you will likely get sicker and be sick for longer, and in the meantime you are spreading this disease to others. The more people are infected, the more likely it is that the virus will mutate and that we'll then need to develop a new vaccine for the new strain. The larger the population of unvaccinated individuals, the more likely this will happen.
      Another thing that can impact your ability to fight off an illness is your health, or the health of your immune system. If your immune system is weakened by some other condition, or serious malnutrition (extremely poor diet), you can get an illness that you previously would have been able to fight off easily.
      Finally, immunity is not always permanent. There are a few illnesses which you need to be vaccinated against several times in your life, and your immune system can 'forget' how to contend with certain illnesses after a period of time so you can be reinfected, even sometimes with the same strain of a particular virus. As powerful as our immune systems are, they aren't perfect.
      So just get vaccinated. Literally billions of people have been vaccinated, many of them many multiples of times in their life over the last 100+ years, and we're all *demonstrably fine*. There is absolutely no undeluded way that you can argue against vaccination as being safe.

    As a follow up: if vaccines are so safe then why force them for the common good?
