You're lucky. Our speed limit is 110kmph, even on motorways. I've had my B5 BULLET 500 up to 100, no worries with vibrations. My dealership won't put an iridium spark in, says it gunks up the EFI, or something. He did put an NGK in, and I feel it made a slight difference. Wonderful pipe note in the tunnels! I'm going to try the external mic, like you suggested.
Hi All, I found my 2021 Classic 500 had a 17th front sprocket. I went straight to 19th, no problems at all. Lower revs at 100klm/hr. Connected a temporary digital tacho - 3400rpm. No serious vibrations. Air delete kit, Hitchcocks silencer, booster plug kit, DNA air filter, iridium plug, runs like a dream.

Hello Mark!!! The improvements obtained with all these changes you made to the Classic 500 are spectacular. I have a question for you: Where did you house the main body of the Fuelx lite?
@@Insina1968 Hello, there is space for it on the opposite side of the battery, a round metal piece next to the air filter, on which I secured it with some zipties and tape.
@@MajomHus That helps a lot. Now it's between the 350 Classic and Himalayan 411. I live in a 4 seasons area and want to also ride some in the winter. Our winters are very mild. I'm leaning towards the Himalayan 411, but love the way the 350 looks and sounds. Thinking I can ride down to Florida late fall, then back up to Maryland mid spring. Maryland has weird weather patterns. You never know if you'll get snow in April on a sunny day. 😅
With a free flow exhaust, air filter and a powertronic, I would say about 5-10% which isn't much. I mainly bought it because of the exhaust, so the engine would not run too lean.
@@MajomHus no I don't hit the limiter on the other hand lowering my revs was what I wanted and 100kmh is maximaal in Holland the acceleration is good by the way so no complaints I already bought the 19 t to find out that there was a 17 t on it to my surprise the book says 18
That 500 would be working pretty hard at 160kph. I wonder how accurate the speedo is at those speeds. I'm not sure I would want to push an old technology push rod engine for too long at those speeds but who knows. I watched a video of a bike like my W800 on the Autobahn and it did an indicated 185kmh but I know the speedo on the W800 reads about 3% faster than you are actually travelling. I checked mine with a GPS so it probably just barely made 179-180kph. That 500 has a nice bark to it. Cheers: BJ

Glad you enjoyed it. Yep, it's a forever kind of bike.

I really agree. Being an owner of a GT535 myself. 1 hour ride is perfect 👌. Anything more and you'll need stops in between

I like how you gently reach higher speeds, perhaps that is letting your reach higher speeds with lesser vibrations

Hi mark do you have a 19t sprocket on it?
It's stock, so as far as I am aware the 2017+ abs models all have 17t sprockets.
@@MajomHus I had indeed standard 17 on it and now 19 but 130 is max but at lower revs next sprocket will be 18 I think

150 on the speedo, so that's 140 uphill, 150 down with the wind in the back :)
