Yes, the shed is a beauty - I remember watching Gary helping you do the build. Very convenient space, thanks to your thoughtful engineering. Loved the tour.
Hello Vivi, As I watched your video I felt your cold since it’s cold here tonight. I hope you went home to a hot cup of tea 🍵. Thank you for showing us around your shed, much appreciated. Until next time please take good care of yourself.😉💗💗💗
I love your shed. I have a 12 foot by 10 foot green house. I never thought about fixing it cute, but now I want to put up my cutie stuff, some cafe curtains and fix my shelves. When it gets ready, will share with you....
I did have a stove, for ages, but realised I was spending a fortune on gas just to make cups of tea for other people! ;-) I'm perfectly happy with water to drink. :-)
I love your cottage shed. It's well organized and so pretty. You did a great job utilizing your space. Thank you for braving the cold to share your lovely shed with us. Brrrrrrr.❄
I found you by pure accident. I am not a veg grower, but have started gardening with mainly flowers and perenial plants at home this year and I watched 4 of your videos last night which were lovely. I hoped you had a shed video and was over the moon when I found it. It is by far my favourite video yet! What am amazing space. I closed my business this year and turned my workshop into a huge potting shed. As I don't have a job now, this has inspired me greatly. Your shed is gorgeous, exciting and blooming brilliant. You are so lovely. Thanks for sharing x
The shed you designed is perfectly you. In the US, we call these a "she shed". Having a place to nap is such a great idea. How cool 😎 is that? I do enjoy your videos. We share a commonality, we are both nurses. Loved it as long as I was capable of working and still have an active license. Hugs to you. 🤗 🤗 🙂
I can recall Graham giving you a hand building your gorgeous shed/summer house. Always loved your drying racks and in fact everything about it really. It certainly is a home from home 😍
We had such a good laugh doing it.....crikey, some of it was hard sweaty work but doing it in company always makes things easier. When lockdown is over I'll be really happy to get Graham over for a few beers and a chill. :-)
I so enjoyed you sharing your shed and I love spending time with you. I sure miss ya when you are not around the garden as much, and happy you are feeling better. I am a senior who has been in a lot with what is going on here in America and all over the world and wanted to say you where such company for me during this shut in time for me....Thank you so much you got a lot of us though this touch time more then you know.
Always lots of laughs here. :-) I'm so happy with the drying rack......I'd envisioned it for ages in my old shed......now I have it I wouldn't be without it......probably the most useful little feature in my shed. :-)
Vivi, my all time favourite video of Sean's is the day you got rid of your old shed. To this day, if I need a guaranteed laugh, I put that video on. It's brilliant! Your shed is the nicest one i've ever seen and you have it kitted out beautifully. You put thought into everything you do which shows. I miss my plot terribly but my daughter didn't during the school hols and I work full time shiftwork now which leaves me very little spare time. I will get another one when the time is right. Still love watching you all these years later and I've learned loads from you. Don't ever change! 😘
Loved the tour and chat I have watched the videos of the build, lol especially enjoyed the collapse of the old shed. Agree with you to bad you didn’t have your camera. Saw a lot of your earlier journey via Sean’s channels? Blessings Vivi Thankyou Ontario Canada 🐝
Hi Vivi, your shed is lovely. It reminds me of my beach hut, which I suppose is a shed too, but by the sea 😁 The drying rack is inspired! Thank you for showing us round.
Oh, what a fabulous tour. 👍 I love the fact you really thought about the style and position and extra elements you wanted, and then waiting and getting what you wanted. So importent to really think and take one's time. 🤗 Great to see how you work the bench height! 😉 'Do we want a closer look at the shelves...?!?!'... Girl, we want to get our eyes on the content of every jar, tin and basket! 😂 Those pelargoniums look fine to us... just wintry. 🤗 Should that be Bob's Bits... 😊 Love the toadstool... wow, glass and oak! Amazing! 🤗 Our shed is to be sorted in the spring once the beds are done... and I am pretty sure it will be white inside. 👍 Brill storage area, so well designed. In fact, as we have always thought, your shed is so, so well designed and thought through. 👍😊👍 Thanks for the tour! 🤗😊🤗
I remember watching all the videos of taking away the old, getting the lot leveled and building this shed, painting and the window. You put a lot of work into this & the man that was there. I thought what beautiful place to take a nap. Sad to see it go but a wonderful new adventure is just around the corner 💞 and we must let go of the old to grab onto the new.
You still have the mug! I'm tickled to see it still in your shed. I love how you've got it all sorted to YOUR habits, and not how you THINK it should be or what someone else says a shed should be!
Vivi, I remember you taking the old shed down, how funny it was! I remember all the work you did getting the ground all level and building your new shed, and I remember you putting in that window. My favorite part was when you made the pretty curtains and seating and pillows. Another favorite thing I love about your shed is your drying rack. It is such a pretty shed
Long long videos are my fav!!! Thanx or the tour for a channel newbie💜.. I am an extreme frugal Gardner and have always been but you have made me fall in love with my way of life again🙏💚💙
Lovely shed .. so many wonderful ideas. ☺️ . My first year was overwhelmed by getting the plot ready.. this year might be a year to replace an old shed in my allotment. 🤩. Thank you for sharing your shed tour .. AMAZING and so tidy👌🏽
I always say get the soil sorted first, get growing first, the shed can come later........now you've got to the 'later' stage have fun designing/planning/building! :-)
I am so happy for the shed tour. I remember when I first started watching your videos, I always thought it was raining based on the frost window. Took me a while to figure out that it was a window. Could you please do a facebook post or short video on rooting powder? I tried it and the plants ended up dying. I've had better results from taking a cutting, putting it in water and let the roots grow then planting. I know this is not feasible for you, especially when you have 75+ tomato plants and short on space and time. Thank you so much. P.S. I love the bits and bobs containers the most.
I haven't used the rooting powder much.....just on the perennial kale cuttings and the honeysuckle cuttings......literally just a quick dip into the powder and then into compost.....so far so good. :-)
Helloooo! Thanks so much for this video Vivi! I suggested it last week and I’m thrilled to see it pop up in my subscriptions. Always a pleasure to watch a video from you! Hunkering down to watch it now. Clever idea regarding sheds on the edges of the allotment. Our sheds can only back on to the wide path which large vehicles (council dropping manure etc off) access, thankfully all of our plots back onto that path.
Thank you for the suggestion for this video Daisy, great idea! Hopefully folk can grab some ideas for their sheds too.....especially if they're on a tight budget. :-)
I abs love your shed. It is truly the perfect shed. I have shed envy in the nicest possible way. Its very impressive what you have done in there. What a lovely thought vivi inspired sheds popping up all over. 🌞
Thank you Dawn....it has been super useful these last few years...and making it so that it 'folds' away is a great little trick to keep it out of the way when not in use for months of the year. 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed a nosey around your summerhouse Vivi! It's made me realise that I should paint the inside of mine white - it would definitely make the space more appealing to sit & relax in 😊 - can you remember how many coats it took to cover the 'orange' wood? x
Ugh, it was a bit arduous! ;-) I did a prime/knot seal coat first then two top coats.....even so some of the knots have come through......but it's good enough for me. :-)
Vivi, your shed just blows me away. I LOVE it. I have two sheds and both are just a total guddle. You have put me to shame. Couple of questions...1. Does it not get damp in there - particularly with all the fabric you have - does it not get a bit damp and mouldy? How do you prevent spiders setting up home? Thank you so much for the tour. Mags
It can feel a little bit damp in the winter....not too much (certainly no mould)....I tend to give all the cushions and blankets a wash in the spring. Hahaha, I don't prevent the spiders from getting in...they're very welcome here. :-)
I agree on the shed decision. Far more useful. Plus, it's beautiful! So organized. You've got so much storage. And it's more like a "she shed", lol. beautiful job. I bought a 5 shelf mini greenhouse that's about 2' wide and 5' tall I keep on the south facing deck. So, the seeds start out on a table with a heat mat. They move to a south facing window that's 6" wide. Husband built a 10" deep shelf resting on old window sill and seedlings go there. When the weather has improved they move to the mini greenhouse. This year we are building 3 hot beds over the existing (6) 4' x 4' beds I've gardened in for over 30 years. They will be 4' wide x 10' long. Removing the 2' walkway that's between each bed we're making into the 10' but leaving the 2' between keeping the path. I highly recommend the channel "dirtpatch heaven" to see how she builds them. You may need something like this in the future.
Your shed is so nice! I’ve been subscribed since you first made your channel (actually since watching you on Sean’s channel) and I remember seeing when you build the shed. I have a small garden in my backyard but unfortunately my city doesn’t allow buildings that are separate from the house so we can’t have sheds or greenhouses. Seeing how nice yours is really makes me want one though!
👏👏👏I love this! I'm on a no spend year and grateful for all your lovely ideas😄 I'm planning on building a shed from scratch for free, so am enjoying listening to your shed building story! I'm paying my bills, if course and allocating £10 a month for food as I have and extensive food pantry so will be living off that. I just may need fresh items. I do need to find ways of sourcing my garden needs for free so I'm sure I can pick your brains as well as your lovely viewer's 😁
Pick away lovely, pick away! There'll be another video in a few days with ideas for gardening for very little money. Hurrah for your no-spend year.....good luck and have fun finding creative solutions to your needs! :-)
Really enjoyed your tour Vivi. Your lovely sh-ummer house (does she have a name?) is both practical and pretty. You have given me lots of inspiration, and an idea for a change around which my other half is not going to enjoy 🤭. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you! I was inspired by this 😊 Our she’s is mostly my husbands domain and also where we keep our bikes. But this has inspired me to turn an old TV bench in the conservatory into a more useful potting bench (and given me the push to de-clutter the drawers). xXx
Love the way you put your shed together. All the storage and drying rack makes it seem larger. The ladybug in the window is precious. Blessings to you and a bountiful garden 🌻
Hi Vivi, your shed puts mine to shame 🙈 😂 like you though I do love my shed even though mine needs a tidy.. I have a little wood stove fitted in mine, best thing ever. Looking at your shed being so lovely Im going to tidy mine or even better get Mark to do it while I cook lunch.. 😂 It's always lovely to see you and your lovely little garden cottage, 🏡 take good care lovely.. ❤️
What a wonderful shed tour. I love the Bits and Bobs containers, although having them back to front made me want to fix them. :) I'm thinking of putting in either a shed or greenhouse. There's already a cement slab at the end of the back garden where someone used to have a shed, so I'll have to measure and see what footprint I have. I've got a large ugly metal shed to store things already, but it would be nice to have a cozy shed to have a nap and dream in. ~ Jon in rural BC, Canada
Oh it's great that you have a slab for the base already.....that cuts a massive chunk of work out. Hahaha.....the tins are the wrong way round on purpose...to challenge my OCD tendencies..... ;-)
Your shed is so cute, Vivi. It is a shame you don't own the footage of your old shed coming down...that was so memorable and funny. Beautifully staged for entertainment. I've enjoyed seeing the journey you've taken making that shed your perfect little space (and in seeing the seaside sheds that were some of your inspiration).
Brilliant shed tour i love my shed ,mine is painted inside magnolia with pictures of all my pets passed and present. I don’t have a day bed but i have a rocking chair where i sit watching the birds in my garden Your drying rack is genius. Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for sharing your tour. I love your shed. It is comfortable and practical as well. I love that you painted it which adds to the comfort as well as the light. I like the idea one of your folks mentioned was the little camp stove for a kettle for tea or a bite of lunch of some sort. They really do not take up much room. I'll bet you are the envy of the gardens for your comfort station. Well done. Have a Blessed day. BTW Thank you for translating the metrics for us in the US who are still on feet and inches (thankfully...I am way too old to change now)
Thank you so much Margaret. Hahaha, I too, get in a muddle with my imperial and metric measurements still......I try to make myself work in metric but my brain is in imperial. ;-)
Love your shed Vivi it is so practical and pretty have you never thought about buying a little camping stove which you could put on the shelf to make yourself a cup of tea or warm a bowl of soup on plus on cold days whilst you are boiling the kettle it will warm your shed up and take of the chilli air in your shed they are only cheap about £10-£15 to buy in home bargains or B & M and the canisters of gas are about £4-£5 for 4 bottles and they last quite a long time. The small camping stove is light and small and easy to carry for you. Just a thought keep safe and thank you for the tour of your lovely shed. X Elaine
Vivo, You shed is so lovely. You have done a fantastic job on it...good for you!! Take care and Stay safe from your pals across the pond, Debbie and Dexter-Dog. 🙋🐾💕🙏😷🏥🇺🇸
I'm in love with this shed. Here it would be called a She Shed since you took it beyond a potting shed. Love all your little things to make it fun. They have little stoves to make a little cup of tea or coffee that take up no space and can easily be stored. It might help to at least ease some of the cold in the shed, just a thought. I have subscribed and hit the bell.
Thank you so much Jo and a very warm, happy welcome to you! I used to have a little stove but I didn't really use it for me so gave it away to someone who would use it. :-)
Lovely shed tour Vivi very enjoyable...Did you dust first ? not a cobweb or Spider to be seen..🕷🕸🕷when we took down our old green house, to make room for a new shed ..there were some pretty big ones lurking and a couple of false widows 🕷 do you have a problem with them xxxShaz 😊🕸🕸🕸
That was fun! Why is it our human nature is curious to have a look at others peoples things 🤔. Enjoyed all the personal touches you’ve done to make it uniquely yours.
Great video Vivi. I’ve been following your adventures since you were introduced to us by Sean when he had his plot on your site. Your adventures have kept me glued to your channel, particularly after you gave up nursing and started a new chapter in your life, has your registration lapsed know? I’m leaving the NHS shortly as I cannot cope with the politics anymore but I’ll keep working for know 😭 Take care and stay safe. 🤞👍
Ach, I feel for you lovely...such a tough decision to leave. My registration had lapsed but at the beginning of the pandemic I re-joined on the temporary Covid register.......I'm hoping I can be put to use giving jabs as I could do it sitting down! Good luck lovely....for your next chapter.... :-)
Vivi I suppose you don’t have an electric outlet in the shed? A small heater would do the trick on colder days. A potbelly wood stove would be even better! Thanks for the tour. I love how organized and cozy everything looks. My backyard shed came with the house and I may reclad it in cedar shakes. It is quite boring as it is. 🏚
Enjoyed your more detailed shed walk about. I like the idea of white paint inside. Im lucky that i have loads of space at my new house. And have inherited a shed thats about 12/10x 6’ i think. Got given a counter from a sign shop with shelving which ill need to dismantle to get into my shed and jiggle it to fit as at the moment i think too tall. But im planning to insulate my shed and also put a grow pod area inside and with grow lights in the future. I need to strengthen the floor first as a bit spongy. Its painted rusty Brown outside but its going over to willow green. Ill also put some vinyl on the floor if i can find an off cut cheap. It only has two windows. But not such a big problem for me as my house is feet away. And my nee veg garden when i get going with it is also right on my door step. Id love to share the transformation with you once i start the project. As present just used as storage as part of the moving process. But does house petrol lawn mower and petrol multi tool. It will be home for planting pots labels equipment once organised. Could you have not put your onion drying rack higher across middle of roof. Or would it have hindered you even more. Me being 5’4” has its advantages sometimes
Oh what a great sized shed to inherit....have fun fitting it out! The drying rack would have been more in the way in the middle as it would have been in my standing space.....over the day bed works great as I sit/lie there rather than stand. :-)
@@WhatVivididnext Yes, I'm envious! My brocalli plants were still going strong when I had to pull them. So sad! I also get the impression your allotments are larger than what we have here. Mine is 20x30 feet (6.1m x 9.1m) with the option of renting a second or even third if those plots don't rent. But we get all the water we want included in the rental price, which is good because it's pretty dry in Kansas.
Thank you for the tour, you absolutely made my morning! Your shed is simply adorable! I was taking notes! So far I have not painted my shed inside. Just yesterday, I was contemplating if white might seem a bit too sterile, or be too difficult to keep clean... as I will definitely be potting up in mine. However seeing yours, so bright and homey definitely sealed the deal for me!
Really nice to see the other side of your shed! Amazing storage and lovely lay-out. I have got 2 questions: 1. Do you ever worry about your shed being broken into or vandalised? I am on a lot of Facebook allotment groups (even though I haven't got an allotment plot myself) and this sort of criminal activity seems to be quite a common thing to happen. 2. Would you consider having a little log burner in the shed to keep you warm in the winter?
Cheers lovely......I was broken into a few years ago......but we've improved security since then. It was horrid...so violating. :-( I would love a log burner but........firstly we're not allowed to burn solid fuels in London and fires etc are not permitted in our sheds. :-)
Vivi- I thank you for the tour, it reminded me of how truly clever you are. I was a joy to watch and inspiring to get organized. Blessings to you.
Thank you so much lovely. :-)
‘Do you want a closer nosy at the shelves?’ - OF COURSE WE DID! 🤣 Thank you Vivi - that was great. Love your shed! X

Thank you Dawn....it has been super useful these last few years...and making it so that it 'folds' away is a great little trick to keep it out of the way when not in use for months of the year. 😊
I wish i had such a wonderful shed or a cuppa with you
Aww, cheers lovely.
At 7:30AM here and it is 36F! We had a light covering of snow here last night. All gone now.
Still no snow here.....we keep being 'promised' it..... ;-)
@@WhatVivididnext As I've lived in the South (USA) since I was 16 (72 now) they promise, don't hold your breath!
I do enjoy a right good nosey ☺️your shed is brilliant 🙂🌸
Thank you so much lovely. :-)
really enjoyed that well done vivi
Cheers lovely.
Yay for the exciting new plans....have fun bringing them to fruition. :-)
@@WhatVivididnext No better way to play than in the garden!
Oh what a shame you aren't allowed a shed. :-(
👏👏👏I love this!
I'm on a no spend year and grateful for all your lovely ideas😄
I'm planning on building a shed from scratch for free, so am enjoying listening to your shed building story!
👍👏👏👏💖
Such a gorgeous, thoughtful little nest Vivi ☺️
Awww, thank you lovey. 😊
Lovely shed, and so well organized!
Thank you Anna. :-)
Looks.like a great place to spend time
It really is.....definitely a home-away-from-home. :-)
What a lovely shed, you are so well organised. What a great idea that drying rack is. Well done.
Cheers Sheila....I'm so glad I did the drying rack...it has been SO useful! :-)
Really enjoyed your tour Vivi. Your lovely sh-ummer house (does she have a name?) is both practical and pretty. You have given me lots of inspiration, and an idea for a change around which my other half is not going to enjoy 🤭. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Hahaha, maybe do the changes on the quiet in that case. ;-)
I LOVE your she-shed!! It is so charming and well thought out in regards to storage. I wish one day to have one.
Thank you lovely....I hope you can have your dream shed soon! 😊
Thank you! I was inspired by this 😊 Our she’s is mostly my husbands domain and also where we keep our bikes. But this has inspired me to turn an old TV bench in the conservatory into a more useful potting bench (and given me the push to de-clutter the drawers). xXx
Yay, good on you lovely....have fun creating your space. :-)
Great idea for the drying rack Vivi!🥰❤️
It really has been super useful! :-)
I enjoyed your tour.
Thank you. :-)
Love the way you put your shed together. All the storage and drying rack makes it seem larger. The ladybug in the window is precious. Blessings to you and a bountiful garden 🌻
Awww, thank you so much lovely. The ladybird painting was done by a friend who is no longer with us so even more special! 😊
Loved having a little tour. I remember when it was built and the joke about the old shed falling down. Stay warm.❤️🇨🇦
T'was such fun! :-)
Ooooh, yay, have fun giving yours a going over! :-)
What a wonderful shed tour. I love the Bits and Bobs containers, although having them back to front made me want to fix them. :)
I'm thinking of putting in either a shed or greenhouse.
Hahaha.....the tins are the wrong way round on purpose...to challenge my OCD tendencies..... ;-)
Delightful tour! Thank you!♥
Thank you lovely. :-)
Awww, thank you lovely......such great memories from the base build to today. :-)
Brilliant shed tour i love my shed ,mine is painted inside magnolia with pictures of all my pets passed and present. I don’t have a day bed but i have a rocking chair where i sit watching the birds in my garden Your drying rack is genius. Thank you so much for sharing
Ohhhh, a rocking chair sounds wonderful! Hahaha, I'd be asleep in seconds! :-)
X Elaine
I used to have one but found I was only ever making tea for other folk and not me and it was getting a bit expensive in gas etc so I gave it away. :-)
Vivo, You shed is so lovely. You have done a fantastic job on it...good for you!! Take care and Stay safe from your pals across the pond, Debbie and Dexter-Dog. 🙋🐾💕🙏😷🏥🇺🇸
Thank you lovely......it's my little home-from-home......plenty of space for equipment AND relaxing. 😊
Simply wonderful Vivi, thanks for sharing your space x
Thank you so much lovely. :-)
Hahaha, no, I most definitely didn't dust first......the spiders seem to love the storage space under the day bed. ;-)
Thanks
Cheers Colleen. :-)
That was fun! Why is it our human nature is curious to have a look at others peoples things 🤔. Enjoyed all the personal touches you’ve done to make it uniquely yours.
Cheers lovely....hahaha, yes, I think we are all innately nosey! ;-)
Lovely Vivi. Hopefully I get mine this spring, will definitely post pics as I have the bunting to hang up ❤🍁
Ooooh, fingers crossed! :-)
@@WhatVivididnext thank you for your kind words 🤞
Vivi I suppose you don’t have an electric outlet in the shed? A small heater would do the trick on colder days. A potbelly wood stove would be even better! Thanks for the tour. I love how organized and cozy everything looks. My backyard shed came with the house and I may reclad it in cedar shakes. It is quite boring as it is. 🏚
Ach, no electric and no fires allowed........how cosy it would be with a fire......but I'd end up sleeping all the time! ;-)
It’s a great shed. 😀
Thank you lovely. :-)
Shed envy! Gorgeous
Aww, thank you Dawn! 😊
Really enjoyed this. Everything is so tidy 🙂
Cheers Gina. :-)
Its a fab shed, Vivi. I think you did an amazing job. Thanks for sharing money=saving ideas.
Awww, thank you Marsha! :-)
What a beautiful shed! That drying rack is absolutely brilliant 🥰
Thank you so much. The drying rack was worth the effort....it has been SO useful over the years. 😊
We have community gardens in the US but only have seasonal access from March through October. I so wish we had year-long access and sheds!!!
Oh what a shame you miss all those lovely months in the garden.....such a pity. :-(
@@WhatVivididnext Yes, I'm envious!
@@littleguyandjoeyand Oh that must be so hard...having to pull out perfectly good plants! :-(
Oh I loved looking around your shed Vivi...and I reckon your drying rack is genius!!
Thank you so much lovely. :-)
I can remember you doing this and graham helping you xx
Such good laughs! I wish I'd had my camera back then. :-)
Yay!!! Cheers Kate, go for it......and have fun creating! :-)
So cute.
Cheers lovely. :-)
Your and paul shed are lovely
Hahaha, cheers lovely. :-)
Sounds warm for the winter we have in cheyenne wyoming usa bless
It's not that warm in winter but is cosy with all the blankets. 😉
Love your shed. Pretty and practical. 💙🤍💚
Awww, thank you so much lovely. :-)
I love your shed ❤️ I’m looking for one and you have given me so many wonderful ideas like the onion drying rack x
Oh the drying rack was so worth the time and effort to make.....it really is the most useful thing. Happy shed hunting. :-)
All of it-so smart and cute!!
Thank you! 😊
Loved your shed your! Really pretty! Thanks for sharing Vivi xx
