I was adopted and was therefore named twice, once when I was born, and then when I was adopted. I was named after my adopted mother, and it never really felt like my name. I had a very painful childhood as well. I was always painfully uncomfortable when people called me that name. My mother was very insecure about my being adopted, so once I was an adult, I never discussed it with her. When I was in my 40's I was able to access my original birth certificate, and found my name before, and I thought "yes, that's my name". I started using it informally and then last year I finally changed it legally, it's one of the best things I ever did for myself. A lot of that old pain has indeed dissipated along with that name.

How old were you when given a new name?
I guess it was extremely confusing!
Like... not feeling accepted for who you believed you were before?
You had to change yo be loved and accepted 😢💔 That's really painful!
      Bless you.
I am glad you have your first name and are much happier now 😊 😅
Always loved and accepted yourself 😍🥰💖
      Amazing what names can do.
I was always Francesca, then it changed to Frankie.
My dad told me he liked Francesca and Frankie Fraser was the same name as a killer gangster.
That was no good for me.
All though I am ok with Frankie again now.
For years I felt uncomfortable but I am comfortable with it again now.
I am not my name. I love both names 😊💖

My 4 year old daughter asked me, "Mama, can I change my name?". I instantly got the biggest smile and answered "Yes of course, what do you want to be called?", she said: "Fleur Fraise", which is French for "Flower Strawberry". It completely melted my heart and made me soo happy, and now she goes by the name "Aya Fleur Fraise". My 5 year old suggested we could use that name as a family name. I do have the want to change my name and I know it'll happen when the time is right. I do sense a worry about my parents reactions about me taking away their names. But at the end of the day, it's just names. Nothing is lost, only reborn.

💎Danke, Meister Eckhart💎

I delight in the humor in these talks. Cool perspective on names absorbing all the experiences in life and how shedding it can symbolize and be felt as a shedding of the old identities and stories. Also, really glad you stuck around and ultimately sought to liberate the self from the emotional and mental pain experienced through awareness, then guide those of us seeking the same. Lastly, fell in love with Glastonbury during an extended stay there; is quite possibly my favorite place I’ve been to so far on the planet. Can so see you living happily there. Your brief, general description was spot on and hilarious.

When I was really little and still learning how to speak properly, my mom asked me and my sister what we wanted our names to be if we could change them. My sister gave some cute girl name she liked ,and when it was my turn to answer, without a beat I said,
    “Eck”.
We occasionally remember and laugh about how odd it was for me to say, but now that I’ve seen this I’m starting to think it’s a lot deeper than I imagined.

@@jodiesalmond5663 An advanced soul who takes over an existing body...Thats the idea, and sometimes the difference is so pronounced it certainly appears that way. In fact it doesnt actually happen that way.
A popular example being Saul becoming Paul in the Christian tradition. Such examples demonstrate how extreme our" bodies" can be, until we realize the authentic self, which is always there.

    "The Glass Wall
The Ancient Wall is shining through
and I can see a glimpse of you
that shows me you are near.
The causal link of time and space
    extensive as the devil's maze,
    it seems to disappear.
I try to take your hand
    and make you understand,
    but vain is my endeavor.
    So shall I just accept
that you are to be kept
    apart from me for ever?"

Thank you for all your inspiring lessons. I reflect on them often and am slowly working to try and be more present (huge pain body that I have been dissolving one step at a time). I, too, changed my name partially as part of my therapy from healing from child abuse. I dropped my middle name (connected to my mother) and my last name (connected to my father), but kept my first name as a reminder that I survived my past and am moving forward in a healthier direction. For simplicity, I decided (with permission) to keep my ex-husband's/kid's father's last name. I also let go of most of my childhood mementos. These simple steps were quite freeing.

when im meditating, sometimes words and phrases will come up in my head that i can tell are from God/consciousness and not my human brain and theyll repeat until i get that its a message. i only saw eckharts names on the side of the screen once while watching alan watts lectures, and after i kept hearing his name during meditations. it took me a while to realize it was a message to come to this channel. i can see the divine consciousness that we all share in him on the surface when he's speaking.
other phrases i hear are often catholic phrases like "for the kingdom and the power and the glory are yours now and forever," and "'the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out in the forgiveness of sins, do this in memory of me'."

One day the use for names will be gone. We will recognize each other with your 1 time only unique frequency. When we have woken up enough there will be no limit to how subtle and spot on our senses and intuition can go.

I started naturally using a different name, in my manifestation practices, this started shortly after I awoke from my 53 year sleep. Those that comunicate with me in my subjective ( inner thoughts) call me by that name about 60% of the time, no one in the objective(3D) has used this name yet but I know they will soon!
I like Eckhart, I hope to see more of him on my journey!

A name as a label can trigger both positive and negative emotions depending on the association.
During the hippie movement people renamed themselves to whatever gave them Good vibrations.
Gamers even go by their handles now. When you are called by chosen names it brings the feelings that you wish to invoke. Naturally a stage name is necessary for a public personality, but it was a comedian who once said "call me anything but late for supper". It was funny, but it also showed a complete surrender to sound patterns that were given to you by others.

The most important part is: *I am...beyond names, nameless, Conscious Awareness.* As long as we _identify_ as what ever name, then we are identified _as_ Ego, rather than rising above it & being aware of it. I've kept my name because I don't think it matters. However I do think Eckhart is a nice name & it's a nice story too and I do get it because my childhood was pretty similar (but I've learned to _comfort_ my inner child by listening to inner child meditations, so I'm the parent, not the child, I've grown up & risen higher, I don't identify as the child or ego anymore, although there are still _remnants_ there at times). Much love and many blessings to all 🕉 💕 🙏

Very interesting aspects. Thank you. I changed names too. Grew out of the old ones and couldn't relate to them anymore. "That is not me." Now I am wearing other names, but depending on where I am, those don't fit either. Long this was most confusing, but slowly I accept the fact that my names just are loosening up my self identification.

That seems more like divine guidance than synchronicity.

    • @queengoblin
      @queengoblin 2 роки тому +3

That is what synchronicity is ♥️

    • @davidalbro2009
      @davidalbro2009 2 роки тому

@@queengoblin Sort of. Synchronicities are events that in of themselves are unremarkable, but become remarkable in their frequency or juxtaposition.
These instances were specific and esoteric that are remarkable and inspired all by themselves.
For example, a psychic reading accurately predicting your future is not synchronicity, but it might be divine guidance.
Hearing your dead best friend's favorite song on radio on their birthday is a synchronicity.
Neither the dream nor the psychic utterance were synchronicities in of themselves but were divine messages. Taken together, that is a bit of a synchronicity, but as I said, more divine guidance.
