GRID - kinetic live performance by Christopher Bauder and Robert Henke for the opening of Basel Trade Fair
GRID is an audio-visual live show by Robert Henke und Christopher Bauder combining kinetic movement, "light animation and electronic live music.
50 motorized suspended LED-rod triangles form a massive dynamic GRID. Live generated sound connects directly to light animations and triggers spatial movements. Every sound and fragment of music composed by Robert Henke corresponds to a visual impulse and spatial alteration of the mechatronic display.
GRID has its premiere at the opening ceremony for the new Basel trade fair building by Herzog & de Meuron in April 2013. GRID will be performed live at various upcoming events in different constellations of up to 120 triangular units in a 30×15 meter arrangement. This makes GRID the largest KINETIC LIGHTS live show so far.
