    ABOUT BECKET:
Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.
Becket’s book, A Change of Affection: A Gay Man’s Incredible Story of Redemption, with a
foreword by Francis Chan, published by Thomas Nelson, released July 30, 2019.

@@alyssaguzman477 You are referring to the Jewish Torah. It's in Genesis (Bereshith), about the 'sins of the father' being passed on to the 3rd. or 4th. generation; but Jesus broke the curse from being passed on by His sacrifice on the cross, and by His blood atonement on our behalf. Instead, many of my ancestors chose to 'yell for Barrabas' instead (sigh).

Ask them what Zechariah 12:10 means.
Have you shared the gospel with this Rabbi?
When I was saved 28 years ago and my daughter was in a “Temple” preschool (I dont call it that bc the temple was a place of sacrifice), I decided to ask the Rabbi about Jesus in a roundabout way, because I’d been studying the prophecies of Messiah and the Bible for several months and was convinced Jesus was the Messiah), and the Rabbi said that God didn’t make him. That his mothers egg and his fathers sperm did.
I was shocked. He didn’t even believe in creation! The largest temple in the town.
I think once you share the gospel with him, he won’t be too eager to continue a relationship.
I have a Chabad Rabbi in my neighborhood. He opened one a few miles from his father’s place.
I see all his white shirts delivered to his home and all the Kosher food.
I have tried to dialogue with him about scripture and he just won’t go there.
The gig is too good- the money is too good.
Jewish people are seeking and sadly that is where they are ending up.
S Florida is now loaded with non observant Jews reaching pout to Chabad thinking they are the example to follow.
      It’s very sad.
Zechariah 12:10- they will never say who is being pierced.
I asked the Rabbi this 4 years ago and still no answer.
He does say “Oh I think thats a prophetic verse”. Ok, for who???
I lost my entire family when I believed at 38.
My Kosher brother would not let his kids stay with me in my large house I built for out of towners.
Because my kitchen and home isnt Kosher.
He has not in 28 years allowed me to share the gospel, it’s a religious spirit.
I hope you get bold with the Rabbi.
I have many more stories to tell.
Maybe Becket will let me be a guest lol.

Hi 👋 I am in my sixties. I can remember feeling attracted to a girl at school at age 12 . And yet by the time I was 14 I was experiencing attraction to boys. The SSA was strong. I identified as a gay man. I never connected with a female. I wasn't interested. I still have SSA , but I don't want any connection with another man. I have handed my life over to the lord. It's for him only to help in all areas of my life.

My life is fille with misery and people making me feel unqualified to do but the lowest skilled tasks. My dad Terry Tipton has always talked about the mistakes of others in condescending ways. He is a retired supervisor from the Social Security Administration. There is no evidence he believes he has ever made a mistake. He only sees other people making mistakes. He has been a deacon at Shadow Hills Baptist Church for maybe 25 years. Most of those duties include passing around offering plates, and leading the reading of sections of the Bible and asking people questions. He did no cooking for his entire career at the Social Security Administration, and did no housework. My mother did all the cooking. He gave himself extraordinary credit for starting to cook at the age of 55 when he retired. Can Terry Tipton have a mental health issue because he does not believe he can ever make a mistake? I tend to think so. My life is a form of torture around them. I am expected to listen to how they are completely virtuous, and always feel guilt. They only talk about other people who are not their immediate relatives as inferior to them. I do not trust them because they believe they are the manifestation of perfect on this planet. Well, they are either the manifestation of perfection on Earth, or very good at deception. The pet dog of my parents only barks at me when I am in the vicinity of the parents. When I am alone with the dog, it stays quiet. I feel the power of my parents over me every day.

A similar thing happened to me. In 1970, my family moved to a new house. We were a Jewish Family, Mom, Dad, Older Sister, me. They found a Fundamental Independent Baptist High School nearby. My Mom went to them in August (in Calif schools started on the 1st day after Labor Day). She got all of the paperwork and a School Secretary asked her if they had a Church? My Mom said we were Jewish. They said "OK," and invited us all to the next Sunday services. We sat there and all heard the Gospel for the very first time. At the Altar Call, I went down the aisle 1st (I was 14), my Sister (18) went next, then my Dad, and finally my Mom. We all accepted Christ as our Savior and His blood atonement. ALL of our lives changed that day! I struggled with having a Jewish background, among people who could not tie the "Old" and "New" Testaments...together. When I was 25, I began to keep the Sabbath and Passover again. And by the time I was 28, my wife and I fully realized that we could be fully Jewish and fully Christian, and there was nothing weird about that. It's an interesting life and not understood by either Traditional Jews or Traditional Christians.

Keep your focus on Christ, and really finding IDENTITY in being a Christian, and everyday, every thought, every action is done to bring glory to Christ.
Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, The Fathers Grace, the Holy Spirit’s discernment, and the moral la s of character strength, (kindness, humility, hospitality, love, friendship, honesty) and those can start with your own self.
When the mere thought enters your mind, immediately pray and ask the Lord to remove that sinful desire to harm yourself.
Maybe install accountability software or block it.
But in the end you have to overcome the thought long before it becomes a temptation.
There are a few Pastors that have ministries on this specifically.
Stay strong in Faith, God Bless

I met a guy online who confessed that he was a progressive Christian, which I had no idea about, at the time. I started researching it, and the more I found out, the more uncomfortable I felt. I now believe that it was God who wanted to warn me about something. We ended up dating for a while until he came out to me as gay and explained that he had been trying to date women but believed he was born that way. We ended up breaking up, he told me he wanted to live his authentic life and his desire was to "marry" a guy someday.
At that point, I realized that it is what progressive Christianity teaches, which is the total opposite of God's word that teaches us to put identity in Christ, willing to die to ourselves and deny ourselves to follow Him. It is a really dangerous teaching that leads people astray to a total depravity. I feel sad and sorry for people who are going in that direction.
To my surprise, even though the experience was painful, I didn't end up hating him for every thing happened. Instead, I felt more love and compassion for him. I've been praying and fasting for God to soften his heart, open his eyes, and lead him to the truth and repentance. It breaks my heart to see what the enemy is doing in his life. He is just lost and needs to be saved. If you can, please pray for him too. I believe in radical transformation, like what happened with Becket. God's work isn't finished yet. Thanks and God bless.

By telling him he wasn't born gay and then still loving him by taking him to church on Sunday. The seeds of truth we plant to others could have an extraordinary impact on someone's life. We must never stop speaking Biblical truths even at the fear of offending others and Taylor is a testament to truth. We all struggle with terrible sin and Satan's attacks are more damaging because he wants to separate us from Jesus. We need more men like Becket and Taylor! I needed to hear this podcast. I don’t struggle with same sex attraction but I do struggle with lustful desires. For years I have been single and struggled with masturbation, despite being a devout Christian. I was pretty much able to kick looking at porn but I have another fetish that isn’t found in porn necessarily, but in everyday life. I’m in a committed relationship now and I love my girlfriend but I can feel the enemy trying to draw me back into old habits. Trying to tell me the relationship isn’t worth the trouble and I’m better off worrying about myself. I still get these lustful intrusive thoughts regarding my fetish. I am transparent about my vices with my girlfriend and she understands but I still feel guilty for basically struggling with mental adultery. I’m still working on it though. I’m not going to let shame stop me from following Jesus Christ. Kicking bad habits takes time and I will trust in Him. And if I relapse, I will repent and try again.

We receive graces from God when we use this sacrament. It strengthens us to fight these battles with sin. I’ve gone to Confession sometimes quite a few times confessing the same son. But, eventually I become cured and receive enough grace to completely overcome that awful sin. It is such a grace! What a beautiful story of God's redemptive power! Taylor's testimony is such a poignant reminder that no matter what you're struggling with, God is right there offering grace, forgiveness, hope, and power to not only withstand temptation, but conquer it through Christ. May God richly bless him and Becket in their ministries and lives!

Another insighful interview. Taylor is such a breath of fresh air. I'm not Jewish, but I could live on bagels with cream cheese and lox🥯 🍩
He struggled with issues of same sex attraction for much of his youth but was finally freed to understand his true identity as a child of the Living Elohim.
It was so awesome to hear that God provided him with a true friend.
I hope his studies at Dallas seminary lead him in the direction he feels called into.❤He dated himself, mentioning 📀 💿 I'm from the cassette generation😅😊

@@everyonehasanopinion00000 Incredible. I stopped talking to my son about the Lord because of that letter. I now just pray for him.
She loved him where he was at. We are told not to judge unbelievers. Thats for the Lord to judge.
Paul did say that we CAN judge believers for their fruit.
If you want to have a relationship with you child and they already know where you stand with the Lord, prayer is the only (and best) thing you can do.

What a beautiful testimony to God’s love, grace and power to overcome sin! I too am a Jew who found her Messiah, I really resonate with the term “Jewish Suicide”. The fear of betrayal is real, yet God’s grace is greater than any fear. When I was saved the Spirit was so remarkably powerful, just like your own testimony Beckett. I, just like your guest have no doubt in my mind and spirit that I have not ceased to be Jewish! It’s been 30 years now and just like the song says “no turning back “.

It is not loving to stay silent about God's Word because someone would be offended. I thank God for His mercy on a wicked, wretched sinner like me. I thank God that He, alone, transforms sinners into new creations that are no longer slaves to their sins but become obedient followers of Jesus. Beckett-+Thank you this interview!! Truly amazing. This you man Taylor is well spoken...great metaphors or comparisons to clarify truth in God's Word. Like an object lesson I used when teaching little kids at church programs that if you wear white gloves and play in the dirt in a gravel driveway, the dirt rubs onto rhe white gloves. The white in the gloves doesnt rub onto the dirt....! Other than BEING born AGAIN! Bless you for your ministry Beckett and for giving God glory through your interviewees. From Ohio
