my high school shop class has all of the exact same clamps for making tables, though when they remodeled the shop i dont know if they got new ones
Absolutely beautiful, Andy! They will love it forever, and it will certainly become a family heirloom, especially since YOU built it! A+++++
Thank you Dr. Carriker!!!
Being a woodworker, using hardwoods, specifically oak; I have a great appreciation for your craftsmanship on this beautiful table. Kudos Andy. I am making a small piece for Matt as a gift to celebrate their new “forever” home. Problem is, I have no idea where to send it. Any help from either of you would be greatly appreciated.
Hi dr.Lee
Yes they will

Hello Dr Lee!
Matt doesn't care about the drops, he cares that his friend built him a nice table.
#tabledrops #itsgotcharacternow #demoranch
Parents bought a trestle early seventies. Us kids put it together. I ended up with it and it’s amazing you can still see our homework handwriting.
I can see why Matt & Meredith wanted a table made by you. It's Beautiful! It's not only functional, but a piece of art as well. It will become a family heirloom, and be a part of festivities amongst family and friends for generations to come.👍👍
Thank you!! That’s my favorite part about what I do, knowing that my furniture will serve family’s for so long!
"Dropping of the Table" is now a tradition that must be upheld when you build one for Matt.
I hate to say you’re right!
I think dropping Matt’s tables are a tradition 🤷🏽♂️😂😂
It's really cool the story he told about Matt starting a UA-cam channel where now we is making something for him to go in his mansion, kinda crazy
You know it's going to be a fantastic piece of furniture simply by using the "DROP IT ON THE FLOOR" testing system 😀 the table turned out pretty awesome but knowing Matt I'm surprised that he didn't get you to inscribe it around the top with each person's name thinking he was King Arthur with all his knights!!! Andy as always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Great video! I am an Off The Ranch subscriber and rather new to woodworking. I am a 50 year old that took up woodworking 2 years ago to make wood flags to generate donation money for the veteran organization that I volunteer at here in Michigan. that table is awesome. I am now an Andy Rawls subscriber as well!
Beautiful table Andy and Robert. Matt’s house is certainly big enough to handle this size of a table.
Wow, very cool watching the process!
Ha ha on the table drops, shows yer human beans like the rest of us!
The hat throw at the end was Epic!
Great work! Very informative. The view count should start skyrocketing momentarily.
Wow, what a beautiful table art you created. It is always my pleasure to watch a craftsman of your caliber create something beautiful and useful. My family is from Peru 🇵🇪 and my padrino had a table of this size made for my madrina as a gift. This table sat 12 people and it was two pieces! The size of the tree was bigger around than the table when it was finished and all of it was cut from one piece of wood. Of course the base came apart from the table so that it could be placed in their home. This was made in the 1940’s I wish that I had a picture of it now because I did not realize what a piece of of art it was. Thank you for sharing your process with me.
I love to hear you guys talking to each other! Man I wish I had someone around to tell me all the little things that'll help me as I'm doing it. And the small little tips are awesome to hear because most videos dont go over things like that. Great video!
The table is gorgeous! I originally clicked to watch because it was such a beautiful build, but seeing you built it for another UA-cam family I am subscribed to made it that much more special. I love your work!
This table is stunning!! Beautiful build guys!!
Amazing craftmanship Andy! well done, this beautiful table will last many generations of the Carriker family.
May of already written but came from matts channel unbelievable table the craftsmanship is amazing few dents or marks show it is truly hand made had MOVED more. Character
Agreed!! Thanks for watching the video!
Here from Matt's vid, beautiful work man
Beautiful table Andy! Love the content! And it wouldn't be a table for Matt if it didn't have a ding in it, adds character.... let's just hope he doesn't wonder how bulletproof it is 😄
Good looking table. Nice to see the Stanley No.8 being put to work.
Was really hoping to see if this one fell. Wasn't disappointed.
Love it!!! It's like a maple knights of the round table. I love the legs, it would awesome if someone have scrap birch plywood to make the thickness. Then clasps the outer part of the legs with solid wood making a nice effect.
That is fantastic. I hate building giant stuff as it gets so heavy and hard to work / reach. I looks really great. Getting something that large to be flat is such a challenge. I want to build a round table (but not that large) with a lazy susan in the middle. Rather than pass everything, we just spin it to be in front of us. I like the round table as you can see everyone more easily. Great work and thank you for sharing.
It’s part of the ritual to drop Matt’s tables. Again awesome table.
That is a nice round table. Nice selection/order from Mere and great work by Andy & Robert.
I've been a chippy/carpenter most of my life and seeing you drop those tables is kind of bitter sweet. I mostly work solo so dropping stuff you put blood sweat and tears sometimes into I'd just par for the course. Still pretty annoying though. Great work friend. 😊🇬🇧🇺🇸
I can relate to working solo been doing most my career. I’m very thankful to have Robert with me now.
@@AndyRawls everything is better with friends 😁🇬🇧
lovely piece Andy, and i’m always a huge fan of collaborations especially when i know both channels
Amazing, Andy! That's a real work of art! 😃
Beautiful isn't enough to describe it!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family there! 🖖😊
Love seeing the big handplane in use
Lovely design, and as always, terrific techniquest, Andy! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Amazing work!
What a beautiful table, you have so much talent. Just think, you made something that will be admired and past down for many years to come.
loved every single second of this build! loved hearing how you n matt met … bible study!! your talent and ability are beyond amazing!! thanks for sharing it!!!
Great informative video. I like the info you give your apprentice, very helpful
Stunning table! And a perfect match for that home, too.
Gorgeous table Andy, what a great piece. Loved this content, thanks for sharing.
Andy, "My Hats off to you" *does not take hat off 🤣 also dropping tables 🤣 thanks mate. Another awesome table, ur a legend 👌
Great build! Thank you for sharing!
Awesome build guys. And I love the informative nature of your build.
Fantastic Table Andy! Great work.
Enjoyed the table build video Andy. Beautiful table. Thanks for taking the time to produce the video. Y'all take care and God bless.
Thank you!!
Incredible work!
Awesome. Love that you showed the drop. I remember the first one. Two fantastic tables with some character!
Thank you!
New to your channel and just loving the design of the table base, very inspiring, thanks for sharing.
The table drop is just traditional by now. Don’t forget it when you build mat the office table haha.
This is simply magnificent! Wow!
Absolutely beautiful work
Really nice, I’ve been waiting to see this since you mentioned it a while back.
I liked the lesson element on planing, always helpful little tips hadn’t really considered weight distribution transferring during the jointing of a board.
Excellent Work!!
Great mix of voice-over and live play x play audio. Nice hand planing tips too. Thank you.
That varnish came out great. Honestly, it's such a beautiful table.
Smooth move butterfingers!
Beautiful table. Great work.
That is some beautiful work. Great job.
You always drop heavy things for matt
I was going to comment that it was a good thing you didn't drop this one...and then the end.
The table turned out so nice!!
Beautiful craftsmanship
You did good, Andy. And kudos to Robert as well. Really enjoy how you are melding CNC technology to mechanized woodworking tools to good old standby planes. Even Noah would be proud.
It’s been fun mixing the CNC into our projects!
Simple and elegant in design and execution!
That is a super cool table leg setup. Solid as a rock I'm sure. Well done, sir.
Awesome table and build. Loved the story of how you two met. Only fitting that you would build a table for them. God bless.
Awesome table, I recently did a 66"(originally 78" - too big for the space) round table for my son and daughter-n-law and have to say it was a fun build. Wish I would have sprayed the finish on instead of brushing.
Awesome job Andy, Thanks for sharing your work. Liked and Subd.
I love the craftsmanship!
Beautiful work!
Nice video, just keep doing what your doing and carry on.kudos 👍👍😎😎
Beautiful table, very elegant 👍🏻
Beautiful build
Anyone else notice the electrical discharge from the plug at the 16:16 mark while they are cutting the circle out of the table?
Very nice table.
Gorgeous table. Too few table makers on here really consider and invest this kind of energy in the base. Love to see a holistically considered design.
I hope Matt doesn't decide one day to blow it up!! Beautiful work.
Awesome build.
What a great piece of furniture!
Table looks amazing
Nice JOB! love the Legs! OH-BALLS on DROPPING the Table!
beautiful craftsmanship !
Finally the Jigsaw proofs itself!
Brand new subscriber here from Matt’s channel. You all did an amazing job dude and it looks sick in Matt’s new home ❤️❤️
Thanks💪
Awesome build and table(s)
Beautiful work. That is one huge table. Those big pieces look great but they can really be a pain to work with. You really can't move to the tools them once they get assembled, you have to move the tools to the work. I made a Texas King Bed for a customer once so I can sympathize. Robert looks like he is fitting in well. He seems to take lessons well and I've seen you use him as a sounding board as well.
Glad to say, Matt loves the table!
What a massive table!! I was once asked to do a big round table and I glad I said no. Lol there is no way I could have pulled it off. Great build. Learned a ton
I would say go for it, you learn a lot from failure. (If you can afford it of course ya don’t want to set yourself back on a gamble) I built a patio roof this December, never thought I could do it on my own with limited experience but I just went for it, and it turned out nice and learned a lot from it. And in a world with information 2 clicks away, videos like this can guide your attempts to further increase your chances of success!
Right!! Trying to get anything that size flat, much less oak, is mind blowing.
Look at that view! Matt sent me here... I'm all in
Beautiful
Beautiful build buddy! Gonna need some more help carrying the the next tabletop!
The lesson to be learned here is to never, under any circumstances, put your table top on a trailer.
Beautiful work, would love a table of that scale and quality one day, but think I’d need a house the scale and quality of Professor Demo first.
And...Amazing. I can't wait to have a table made for my house someday.
Just email us when you’re ready! andy@andyrawls.com
Recognized the MuskOx shirt’s. I have the green one as well. Beautiful table build. High tech CNC to hand plane.
great project
Andy that table is beautiful
Just came here from OffTheRanch and subscribed. That dining table is some nice work Andy! I guess I'll be binge-watching your videos.
Thanks!
@@AndyRawls Ditto, A work of art.
Late to the party just seen the table on off the ranch came over to watch and subbed
Thanks!
hahahah love the ending!
Andy the table you made for Matt Carriker's new home is absolutely beautiful . You do fantastic work . You have a beautiful woodworking shop . Who was the bearded young fellow in the vlog ? I wish I could grow a nice beard like he has .
I'm here from Matt's channel. Subscribed.
Thanks!!
Deliciously beautiful 🤩
Great video and content as usual Andy! I was curious as to the name brand of the finish you used for both the sanding filler and the water based conversion varnish?
It’s made Target Coatings. Emtech conversion varnish
